The Soulmate Meme
A soulmate (or soul mate) is believed by some to be the person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity, similarity, love, sex, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, or compatibility.

In our world, the concept of soulmates is quaint, but frankly antiquidated. But somewhere out there, in the vast cosmos, there is a world that still values this tradition. No, not just values. Society is practically built around it. After all, they've found the powers of the soulmates. When they're together, both halves of the whole can find a peace that is desired by all; not only that, either, but also the two can unlock the. Everyone is believed to have a soulmate, and those who have yet to find there's a sense of emptiness that cannot be filled by other distractions. There are few limits on who can be destined for each other. The fates have often chosen people completely opposite of each other, some even on opposing sides or factions. Attraction between soulmates is instantaneous upon the first meeting, though relationship styles can very. It's almost always romantic, but sometimes not sexual, despite that usually being the case. Some even say that procreation can only be done by soulmates, but that's only a rumor and highly untested. Yet this bond is not always sunlight and rainbows. You'll practically feel each other emotions

The problem, of course, comes in finding one (if you even want to at all, as some rebel against the system as much as they can). How many people are out there, and what's the probability of finding them in a lifetime? What if they're not in the same country or even the same planet! There's also the dilemma of having only one soulmate. Though people can have plenty of lovers, those in this world can only find true satisfaction from their other half.

It's a twisted and difficult web, and sometimes unmatched people can face prejudice from those around them and the established order, but finding that one special person is said to trump all of that.

HOW TO PLAY:
1. Comment with your character
2. Reply around, using whatever option you want OR the RNG.
3. Play out some threads. Be soulmates, friends, other lovers, etc.
Prompts
1. First Meeting: You'll feel the spark almost on first sight. Yes, he's not your type. No, she's is a villain and your a hero. It doesn't matter. You can't chose these things.
2. Not Accepting: No, this person can't be it! They're so...so not what you've expected!
3. We Belong Together: You've decided to come together, like it's intended, and you're reaping the benefits.
4. Like Ships in the Night: The obligatory sex option. The two of you are cementing your bond in the most traditional of ways, and you'll soon learn that sex with others can't compare to sex with someone who's completely yours.
5. Stronger as Two: In battle or in life, the two of you combined are unstoppable.
6. There's Someone Else You've met your soulmate...but you're with someone else. Now that you know your other half is out there for sure, can you keep that up?
7. Love Will Tear Us Apart: Someone is hurting one half of the pair, and it's bringing pain to both of you. Maybe you can protect or save the other.
8. Not Fortune's Fool: You're flying solo. You have no intention of becoming a matched pair. Forget about what anybody else says, just focus on you.
9. Soulmates Never Die: Except when they do. Somehow, yours has passed on or is dying in your arms, leaving you alone in the world. How do you feel?
10. WILDCARD: Choose your own.

You're stuck in a messed up or forbidden romance, but you can't resist the draw of it. Maybe your families are feuding, you're cheating on a lover, or you're in love with your own sibling. Whatever the reasons are, you know your relationship wouldn't be approved of by a long shot. You just can't resist the temptation though.

- Post your character's name in the subject, along with series and preferences.
- Others go to RNG and roll 1-5 for a scene and relationship type (if needed), then 1-6 for a scene and respond!
- ???
- Profit!!!
Relationship Type (optional)

1. Family - you're keeping it all in the family, literally.
2. Balance of power - the other person has a higher status than you somehow.
3. Cheating - you're both having an affair together.
4. Caught in the middle - it's nothing you've done, but the feud going on between those you're both close to keeping you apart.
5. Other - some other type of relationship we've forgot? Want to combine? Go right on ahead!

The Timey Wimey Ball Grab Bag Meme

This is the grab bag meme for all your Time Travel and other Timey Wimey Ball related needs!

[How To]

1. Post as your character. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc. Please also write down preferences, scenarios, etc in the comment box) Tagging anon is fine to, if that's what the muns want to do.

2. Choose a scenario, or any combinations of any scenarios you want to try out. Making up your own scenario is fine, too! Either mun can make the suggestions for a scenario.

3. Thread, tag and have fun!

[How The Multiverse Works]

1. Time Paradox What Time Paradox? : It's impossible to change history, the only thing that would happen if you went and killed your grandfather is that a new Timeline in which your grandfather was killed would branch off from the original one. The good thing - You can't mess your own Timeline's history up, while you can try to create new Timelines in which things go more to your liking. On the other hand, you can't fix your own history, either.

2. Yes, You Can Change History : And if you mess things up, the results wouldn't be pretty.

3. Something Else

[Sample Scenarios]

1. The Letters From The Past Or Future - Remember the Magical Time Machine Mailbox from the movie 'The Lake House'? Yes, it's like that - Now, your characters live in different times/eras from each other, and are recieving letters (Or E-mails, or Vid-mails, etc) from the future or the past!

2. Time Travel - Have you ever wanted your characters to go see the dinosaurs, or be part of the Time Patrol, or go find their True Love in a different era? Or maybe play out the Back To The Future scenario, and have to go and save their parent's marriage? Here is your chance!

3. Peggy Sue/Replay - Have you ever wanted the chance to have your characters and go back in time and redo their lives, just like Peggy Sue did in the movie 'Peggy Sue', or the main characters in the novel 'Replay' did? Well, now they can! Your character has woken up in a much younger (Or at least a little younger) body - Their mind has been sent back to the past, and has been downloaded into a younger version of themselves.

Cut for length - Even more scenarios go here! )

Whether you were aware of it or not, you are part of a genetic tree! And whether or not you want to acknowledge it, you're now in contact with family you haven't seen in a long, long time, or never knew about at all!

Cherish the moment, get in fights, reminisce about relatives you both despise...

Just be wary if any mention of selling bridges comes up.

the cross✘medium meme

[the first edition]

Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene...

When you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way! From you first cigarette your last dyin' days.

Fiction often thrives on the conflict of groups not getting along. The funny thing is, half the time those groups don't even know why they dislike each other. This can lead to hilarity, tragedy, or the often romanticized doomed lovers.

In this meme, characters have been divided (by themselves or by society) into factions loosely based on medium types. What started this whole affair? Who knows? All that's obvious is there's bad blood on all sides.

[the rules]

one. This meme is cross-medium. That means tagging characters from a different medium/origin. In example, video game characters can tag characters from comic book, live action sources, anime, etc. For clarity, western animation and anime will be considered different mediums for this meme.

two. Characters' names, canons, and general preferences can be put in the comment box or the subject.

three. Other people reply with the scenarios they rolled.

[the scenarios]

Take a chance and roll the dice.
ROMANCE OPTIONS
1. This is the start of something new. You've just met this great new person. They could be the one! Only problem is, you're from the opposite sides of town, if you get the meaning. What to do?

2. I just can't be with you anymore, Alejandro! The stress is too much, or your family/gang/faction has found out about your romance with the enemy and you're being forced to end it. Even if it breaks both of your hearts.

3. At the end of your rope? Elope! You love birds can't stand all the fighting and separation, so you're leaving this town in the dust to start a new life.

GEN OPTIONS
4. Friends in enemies' clothing. You have a friend on the other side, but the climate keeps you from broing it up. Meet in secret and hang out, even if it's risky.

5. Do you bite your thumb at me, sir? Hey, look! It's somebody from the rival side. Looks like they're mocking you. This means war, you know. Fight, fight, fight!

6. Kill Bill. That other faction somehow wronged you, and now you want revenge. Maybe it's closer than you think...

7. Make up your own option!

Looking for a little bit of the old in-and-out? Look elsewhere! Introducing the outercourse meme, for playing out all the many forms of non-penetrative sex. For ideas of what comprises outercourse, you could visit Wikipedia but a few examples are: mutual masturbation, frotting, tribidism, humping and grinding, oral and manual stimulation, and intercrural (thigh) sex.

So why are your characters performing outercourse? That's up to you, but if you'd like a few ideas, here are some possible

settings and situations:

1) Ancient Greece, where sex between older and younger partners often eschewed penetration.
2) Victorian era prostitution, where alternative sex acts were often used to avoid pregnancy and disease.
3) Modern teenage sexual exploration, where outercourse is often used to circumvent a "loss of virginity."
4) The fabled "Princeton First Year", where sexual acts are traded for social favor.
5) D/S relationships where a partner has chosen to share their submissive... but only so far.
6) Normally penetrative relationships looking to try something different, trying to rub one out in a hurry, or just plain too sore to get banged.

7) Anything else your little heart desires!

whut do?

1)Post a comment with your character and any appropriate preferences.
2)Tag around.
3)Choose a scenario.
4) Smut.
