Once Upon a Dream
(I Met You) Once Upon a Dream

Dreams are complicated and amazing, aren't they? They can be fascinating, fantastical, boring, scary, comforting. You can meet people that are gone from your life, there, or even - sometimes - dream of people who you don't know, yet.
So this is just it. Meeting in a dream.
Warning: some of the prompts can be better avoided by the younger crowd, for sexual, violent, or body horror reasons.
How to Play
- Comment with your character and preferences.
- Reply to others.
- Have fun.
- Make sure you leave people a way out. It may be a dream, but don't tag into a stranger's open prompt with something that might be explicitly disturbing or way too intimate without checking in with them, first.
Prompts
There are two major categories.
I. In a dream.
II. After you wake up.
They have different prompts, but you're free to mix and match as desired - and the prompts are merely suggestions, after all. Go wild!
I. In a dream.
A. Kind of dream.
1. Mundane
2. Fluffy
3. Hot
4. Sad
5. Nightmare
6. Fantastical
7. Free for your imagination.
B. Kind of meeting.
1. You know them in life. You meet them normally - friends, allies, acquaintances, coworkers...
2. They were once part of your life, but they're not, any longer. Left for good, you fought, they're no longer living...
3. Strangers.
4. Enemy! Defend yourself! Or maybe reach a truce.
5. Free for your imagination.
C. Kind of dream experience.
1. You are as you are in the waking dream - same gender, abilities, etc.
2. You're enhanced - you can do things you don't, when awake, like flight or supernatural strength or knowing a different language, or something else that you normally lack.
3. You're depowered - whether you have special abilities and they don't work in the dream, or you're lacking something else that you usually have - sight, mobility, speech...
4. You're physically changed - different gender, different race...
5. You're a different age - younger or older.
6. Free for your imagination.
II. After you wake up.
A. Kind of dream.
1. It was a lovely dream. You have a great feeling that stays with you after it.
2. It was a horrible dream. Nightmare, or it just went on and on...
3. It was a confusing dream. You're not sure how to feel about it.
4. You don't really remember much about it. But you think there was something...
5. Free for your imagination.
B. Kind of an encounter.
1. Expected - bedfellow, roommate, friend, colleague, and you get to tell them about the dream.
2. New - you met that person in the dream! Or they're just a stranger you feel like you should share the dream with.
3. Impossible - how is that person even there?
4. Enemy - why them? Why now?
5. Free for your imagination.
C. Anything else you want!
Did you wake up with a skill or ability you didn't have? A new fear? A secret you never knew before?

She dreamed of Camelot, and King Arthur and Guinevere. She had heard the tale many times, and it is one of her favorites. Everything felt so real.
Meggan wakes up, and yawns. The space beside her is still empty. She frowns and gets up, looking into the mirror beside her. She almost screams, but realizes the brunette with dark eyes is her. The dream has heavily influenced her, and she's transformed into Guinevere. Meggan smiles and jumps out of bed so she can talk to the only other being around.]
Lockheed!

The features are totally different and it takes a moment for Lockheed to realise in his half dazed stance that Meggan has shifted in appearance.]
Meggan. Yeh've changed over night. It's... very pretty.
no subject
You think so? Last night, I had a dream about King Arthur and Guinevere. [She sits beside him.] Everything was so pretty. And it felt so real...
Do you think Brian...
[Meggan stops at the mention of his name and frowns. Her appearance slowly changes back and her blond curls fall onto her shoulder.]
no subject
[He notes her evident sadness and pining for Brian and flaps over to beside her.]
If yeh asking if Brian is yeh King Arthur, I'm sure he is. And yeh and him will be back together soon, Heed is sure. Yeh Heed's fav couple, yeh know.
no subject
[She folds her arms across her chest.]
And Brian acted quite strange before they left...[A pause.] Perhaps he is upset with me?
no subject
Heed's worried for Kitty too, but I don't think he's upset with yeh, unless yeh heard something Heed didn't? I suppose we could go and find them?
no subject
[Meggan stands and looks in a nearby mirror. She tries to transform back into Guinevere.]
Let's give them more time. Then, we'll go.
no subject
[He watches her attempt to modify her appearnace and her hair does shift colour somewhat, but it's not quite the same as before.]
Maybe yeh and me should do some things whilst we wait. What do yeh and Brian do to relax?
no subject
well, we like to...cook.

How about we go for a walk? Maybe the fresh air will help.
no subject
Ok, Heed would like that! I'm more likely to fly about yeh though, unless yeh don't mind Heed hitching a lift.

no subject
Ok, makes for better company if Heed ain't flying up there anyway. Even if it makes yeh stand out more. Heed can't shapeshift like yeh do.
no subject
Do you ever wish you were a big dragon? [Meggan walks towards the door and opens it.]
no subject
Sometimes, though if I was I wouldn't wanna hurt anyone just because I was big and tough like that Smuag guy. Heed likes friends, no matter what size Heed is.
no subject
[As they step outside, she takes a deep breath and sighs happily.]
Well, where shall we go?
no subject
[He considers for a moment before replying.] How about to the park, there's a lotta nice places to walk about there. Or we can go and fly somewhere together.
no subject
[Meggan pats him gently and walks toward the front gate. Her mind is still on Brian, and her heart flutters a bit.]
What do you think about babies, Lockheed?
no subject
[Her question makes him stare slightly and blink before replying.]
Ah, well hatchlings are always nice. Long as they're expected anyhoo. Why do yeh ask?
no subject
[She opens the gate and smiles. That incident did make her giggle.]
I don't know. Just curious I suppose.
