For whatever reason, the floor is unacceptable as a place to sleep. It's messy, the dog is there, THE FLOOR IS LAVA, or maybe there's flooding. Who cares why it's not acceptable, it just isn't! Normally, that's not an issue, but tonight you have a friend over. Maybe it's the safest place, maybe it's hurricane season and your house is the only one out of the path of the storm. Stop trying to figure out the details, just get over it and share the bed with that person! Sexy times are not required. Intimacy is not required.

Just share the damn bed already.

[Johnny loves a good time as much as the next guy - okay, maybe a little more. He loves the clubs and the flashy clothes, loud music and someone grinding on both sides of him. He loves a drink or two.

TJ might've had a little more than a drink or two. But it's fine when they're back at Johnny's place at the end of the night, both tumbled into his bed. It's only when TJ reaches for his shirt and tries to get up that Johnny has to play his card.]

[It's not exactly every day that you wake up to find yourself in your bed ... five years in the future. Neither it is everyday that you wake up with yourself from said time frame next to you. There was a bit of panic--er, a lot of panic, mainly on his end, thinking it was a total stranger laying next to him--but once he assured himself that freaking out wouldn't get either of them anywhere, he resorted to just taking deep breaths and trying to analyze the situation.]

So you're ... taller, huh? [Not exactly the most necessary question for analyzing, but even as they were still sitting on the bed, he could see his leg was much longer (and his prosthetic looking much more intriguing), so yeah, he was curious.]

[Rei honestly couldn't have been less surprised by this turn of events if he'd planned them himself. He'd only come over after practice to watch some TV for part of the afternoon, then go home so he could finish his homework. Yet here he is, at almost one in the morning, laying in Nagisa's bed and watching him bounce up and down.

It's a Tuesday night. They have school and practice tomorrow. He still hasn't finished his research on the perfect flip-turn. Why is he still here? (Oh right, the floor is lava.)

Not that he makes any move to correct the situation, until after awhile he sits up and adjusts his glasses.]

[Studying was clearly the bane of his existence. He'd been all but bouncing off the walls when they'd settled in to start, having taken a heavier dose of his adderall specifically for studying purposes. Then his brain had slowly been taken over by formulas and dates and numbers and letters all rumbling around in his brain until it just gave up. He'd been staring at the page for the last ten minutes, not able to figure out a single word. Screw this.

If it had been just him, he would have just given up and gone to play a game or maybe watched some porn (don't judge him), but he had a study buddy and she was currently peering at the page in front of her like it held the mysteries to life as they knew it. He nudged her, closing his book.]

Hey. I'm... done. Like, my brain's just doing a no-show for now. I'm going to take a nap for like... half an hour? Maybe? Just wake me up when you want me to drive you home, okay?

[ Annie's not really a morning person. Annie's not really an any-time-of-day person, truth be told, but she functions best at dusk and prefers to spend the rest of her time doing very little. Similar to a cat, though it's unlikely she'd appreciate the comparison.

But this winter is particularly unkind, and she wakes as soon as the sun comes out to thaw her bones. Even with the fact that they're all on a field trip (if it could be called that) to a nearby castle and have beds to sleep in and have to share them with another warm body, Annie is frigid. She blinks blearily over her shoulder, breath escaping in a white cloud.

The culprit is her bedpartner, who has all the covers bunched to himself. She processes this for about three seconds. ]
