Someone you should probably stay away from. He's Derek's uncle and was an alpha after he killed Derek's sister and stole it from her. Then he bit Scott and... well, let's just say there was a lot of death.

But it's good that he bit Scott.

[ She wouldn't have killed her family if she hadn't transformed either, though. That's not cut-and-dry naiveté, but Scott? Scott's not a case to be sorry about, and Malia's embraced her were-side. ]

He wouldn't need to protect anyone if he hadn't been bitten. And I don't need protecting.

[There's that fragile male pride getting pricked. He's trying not to take it personally, pushing it out of his head, but there's still that 'great, now she thinks I'm a wuss' floating around in there.]

That's different. Things would have been a whole lot... different if Peter hadn't done what he'd done. This all comes back to him.

And I'd be worked up about you doing anything that put you in a dangerous or potentially dangerous situation.

Then I'll be glad Scott's a werewolf for when you wind up in dangerous situations.

[ He's useful for that protection, at least. And, okay, fine—he's helped teach her a lot. ]

[Exasperated sigh.]

[ She shakes her head—who decided Stiles was the best one to teach anybody about fitting into the human world? Sliding off the hood of the car and back into the dirt, she moves around to the passenger side. ]

[He just smiled at her and moved around to get in the driver's side, starting the jeep and waiting for her to be comfortable before he took off.]

Do you want to stop by your house first? Maybe get some shoes and a change of clothes? Toothbrush?

[ Oh right sleeping places requires actual supplies now. That also sucks to get used to. She's comfortable, but doesn't bother with her seatbelt, chewing at her thumb nail as she looks over at him. ] I can't just use yours?

[If he said no, would she punch him?]

People don't usually share things like that. Germs and all. I mean, I figure it'd be kind of gross for you with the whole extra senses thing.

[instincts]

[ Ugh. This is like the wet-wipe thing again isn't it. She holds a hand up in surrender, tipping her head to look out the window. ]

All right, fine. Drive by my place.

Alrighty.

[He backs up until he can turn the jeep around, heading away from the preserve and heading for the Tate residence, which isn't all that far.]

Did you have a nice run?

[instincts]

I couldn't shift. Not even part way. [ She does a good job of not making it sound like she blames Scott for being useless at teaching her, even though it did make her grumpy about it. ] I was hoping running would make it easier, but it didn't. [ What had he come out here for? Oh, right. ] Were you out there a long time before I found you?

[teenyoda]

You'll get the hang of it again. Just don't forget to change back when you do.

[He turned the wheel, pulling onto the next street and shrugging after.]

Not too long. I was just trying to clear my head for a bit.
