"Doughnut..." He says testing it out and looking at the pup. "I like it, you're name is Doughnut." He grins at the puppy, "Lucky this is Doughnut, your little brother." He smiles.

"Okay so cake?" He says smiling pulling it forward. "You know how long it took me to get the Shield right." He laughs, "Soo you're going to have to cut it."

"We'll go get him a tag and a vet check tomorrow." He is already planning the call in his head. He's also thinking of his favorite dog store for a nice collar.

He gets a knife from the kitchen block, shaking his head at Clint's ridiculousness. "You just can't bear to ruin your handiwork?" He finds the center of the cake and smoothly cuts through it.

"Nope." He laughs softly, the inside of the cake is dyed blue with red sprinkings. "I had to much fun making it okay." He laughs. "Happy anniversary boss." He grins a little, and looks over at Doughnut and spots him dragging on of Phil's shoes out of the bed room.

"Uh better put puppy chews on the list." He laughs moving over and taking it away from the pup.

"You can always bake more since you enjoy it so much." Phil cut them both a generous slice. He set Clint's slice aside for him then leans against the counter to eat his. "I know I enjoy eating it."

He smiles lovingly at Clint. "Happy anniversary, agent." They weren't the sweetest or corniest pet names but they were for them. It was how they first flirted with each other.

It would more cause for concern if he and Phil called each other shit like shoonkums and sugar plum. He smiles a little at being called agent, and comes and takes his slice of cake. He grins a little and takes a bite from cake and smiles a little.

"I do love baking. I could try this peanut butter cupcake recipe I found." He smiles a little looking at Phil.

"Oh look at that you've got frosting on you mouth." Clint smirks a little and steals a small kiss.

"Those would be good for the party tomorrow." He is going to say something more but then Clint is kissing him and he doesn't feel the need to say more.

He leans his shoulder against Clint's while he eats. "Should we bring the dogs with us? I bet it would annoy Stark."

"Well I could spend the night making cupcakes." He nods slightly amused, he grins a little at Phil. "Yes lets bring Lucky and Doughnut." He grins a bit, "They're family too." He laughs softly taking another bite of cake. "It'll be a way to use up the rest of the frosting in the fridge." He smiles a little more.

"Starks not the only one that goes overboard." He points out with a soft laugh. "You should have seen her face when I said we could just have dinner at Luigi's and watch Toddlers and Tiaras."

"She's used to his exstravgance. Our simple life is strange and foreign. I explained to her that we have enough excitement in the field and don't need it at home but parties are safe excitement. It's different." Phil is not a social butterfly. He likes his life with Clint and their dog now dogs.

Their lives included super heroes and the super rich. It made things interesting. At least they were having their private party at home. "I mAy have something for you, you know."

"Fair enough. It will be fun to see the others when we aren't trying to save the world." he nods licking frosting off his fork and setting the plate aside.

"Oh really? What is it?" Clint grins big and bright at the man.

"It was very difficult to hide this." He sets his plate down and heads to the hall closet. He comes back with an object wrapped in soft cloth. "I had Jasper help keep it somewhere safe."

He unwraps the cloth and holds out a handmade longbow, painted a deep black. It's clearly a masterwork of a bow. "I know your tactical bow is a marvel of modern technology and this isn't really meant for fieldwork but I thought it might be more fun for you to shoot." Engraved just under the grip are their names and their wedding date.

Clint blinks and blinks again looking at the bow taking it carefully in his hands nimble fingers slowly running over the wood.

He lifts it and and draws the string back but doesn't dry fire he eases it back to normal. He looks over at Phil practically vibrating.

He moves over and kisses Phil slow and deep. "God... and all I got you was a cake and a puppy." He laughs kissing Phil again.

He watches nervously as Clint tests the bow. He had used the measurements of Clint's other boss when he commissioned this one. He's incredibly relieved when Clint clearly approves.

"You made an incredible cake and I love the puppy." He smiles softly at Clint. "And I'm very much in love with you. It's nothing." He would give Clint anything he wanted just to see him smile. No one spoiled Clint enough in Phil's opinion. He's going to do it for the rest of their lives.

"Love you too, Phil... So skip the party and you can watch me test this bad boy out?" He says with a soft laugh, stealing another kiss. He didn't understand while Phil spoiled him so much, and sometimes he wishes he could spoil Phil more than he does. "I know you love watching me shoot."

"It would be rude to skip the party entirely," he muses, "But we could be a few minutes late." Everyone would assume they were celebrating with sex and Stark would make a lot of jokes but Phil did love watching Clint shoot.

"Go get your gear, I'll get the dogs ready." He pats Clint on the ass to get him to move. "Let's go Agent."

Clint gives a mock salute and moves off to get his things together he comes back. Dressed for the party, good luck getting him to where a tie though Phil.

He comes back out with his gear, wearing black jeans, a pair of boots he actually owns that aren't scuffed, a white button with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a leather wrist cuff.

"The pups ready?" Clint smiles a little.

It's a little of an event trying to get the dogs to stay still long enough to get their leashes on. Lucky is pretty good but Donut gets him a little worked up. He manages to get them ready before Clint comes back out.

"We're ready." The dogs are dancing around his feet, excited about going for a walk.

"I'll put a training harness on the list for doughnut." He chuckles taking Lucky's leash, the dog wags his tail and looks at the puppy who's still dancing around not sure what's going on.

"People at the shelter warned me he's not leash trained." He chuckles a little.

"I'll sign up for puppy classes too." Phil kneels down and ruffles Donut's ears. "And I'm sure Lucky will teach him some good manners."

He leads their little party out of the apartment to head out for the shooting range. He offers a hand to Clint to hold while they walk.

"Well look at you Mr. Pet Parent." He chuckles softly he takes Phil's hand the dogs trotting alongside of them. When they get to the rang Clint let's go of Lucky's leash and well he's very good for a one eyed slightly used dog, because he walking tail swishing behind the safety line and sits down.

Clint sets up a couple of targets and goes to get the arrows out of his locker, he pulls on his shooting glove and carefully pulls out the bow Phil gave him. "You're going to see me be awesome Doughnut." He gives the doggie a crooked smile.

Since it's Doughnut's first time at the range Phil picks him up and tucks him under his arm. The puppy wiggles around, trying to lick at Phil's face until he settles down.

"One of these days, he's going to join the Olympic team just for the hell of it," Phil drawls with a smirk. "Except he can't get the time off of work."

"I prefer Count Chocula to Wheaties though." He laughs softly shaking his head a little. "I could totally take the gold." He laughs a little more. He knocks the arrow and draws his back, eyes focusing on the target and he lets the arrow fly. He knocks another and lets it fly again, he does it repidily until there is a smily face on the target.

"Your sweet tooth is legendary." He watches with pride and since they're alone on the range very obvious desire. He could watch Clint shoot and the play of muscles for hours. The man is incredibly beautiful.

"Very cute, Clint."

"You talking about me or my shooting?" He asks smirking a little as Phil, his hand moving along the bow. "Phil this is great, it's perfect." He grins a little, picking up another arrow and aiming for another target. "It's one of the reasons we get along." He tells Phil letting more arrows fly.

He shoots for a bit more making different shapes on the targets, getting lost in it, the way he does when he shoots for fun. None of the tension he carries when he's on an opp.

"Cute is not the best word to describe you." Beautiful, incredible, and handsome come to mind but not cute. That doesn't mean Clint can't be cute. Phil often finds him adorable but right now he's beautiful and he's all Phil's.

He smiles lovingly, "I'm glad, Clint."

He finally sets the bow down and starts cleaning up the arrows and tucking everything away nice and safe. He moves over to Lucky ruffling his ears handing him a dog biscuit and calling him a good boy. The dog licked at his face wagging his tail.

"And you are a good little boy too." He smiles giving a treat to Doughnut. "Listen to you big brother and you'll be an awesome dog too." He chuckles softly.

"I could give you a treat too, but you probably want it later." He winks at Phil.

I was thinking first wedding anniversary but I'm easy too. LOL.

First wedding anniversary works for me.
