HOW IT WORKS:

Leave a comment with your muse. Now they are a mythical creature.
Others will tag your muse as a different or the same magical creature, or a human, or what they naturally are, or whatever they like.
If you'd prefer, all these creatures can appear human, but shift between forms.

['Course she'd be. Even as they went further out he still kept it nice and even, pacing the kicks of his fins.

Glancing up with a blink, he smiled and gestured.] Hey, look!

[She looked in the direction he indicated, and spotting the familiar signs of dolphins she smiled, relaxing a little.]

Oh wow...!

[He glanced over his shoulder with a small chuckle, slowing his swim.] Wanna say hi?

[Glancing at him, she giggled and nodded.] Y-Yeah...!

[He grinned at her response and turned out toward the fins on the horizon.]

Take a quick breath, alright? I'm not gonna dive, but calling them over will require me gettin' my head underneath. [He snickered a little.] Wouldn't want you taking a mouthful of ocean on accident.

Okay...

[She did as he said, taking a breath and holding it.]

[When she did that he slowed to a stop, then ducked his head underneath, still doing his best to keep from dunking Fluttershy as well, even with the preparatory breath.

A few noises emit from his throat, sounding extremely dolphin-like; apparently they were heard, because the fins ahead of them stop, whorl around in the ocean, and then start heading their way, with their owners occasionally porpoising out of the water.

Popping his head back out, Chris glanced around them with a smile when the pod surrounding them, chittering happily, and he laughed a bit, taking up a more easy position in the water. Two dolphins swam up to them directly and he placed his hand on one when it nosed him, and he gave Fluttershy a grin.]

Fluttershy, this is Click- [He gestured to one, then to the other.] -and Whistle.

[She giggled, reaching out and gently petting the one closest to them.] Hello...! It's nice to meet you.

[He smiled, watching the dolphin nudge her, and then he snickered a little.]

I think he wants you to play with him.

[Giggling again, she very carefully lets go of Chris, doing her best to stay afloat as she swims with one hand on the dolphin.]

Well, how can I say no?

[The dolphin chittered happily and swam back a bit. Perhaps seeing something in his eye, Chris started forward a little.]

Ah, Fluttershy? You may wanna hold on tight and take a breath-

[Because seconds after she grabs on Click takes off, swimming through the waves and beginning to dive in and out of them. Chris sighed, putting a hand over his eyes.]

[She just barely manages a startled squeak before Click takes off, and she clings on to him as he jumps in and out of the water. She only manages to take little gasps of breath when he jumps out before he dives back in.

She's not able to hold on for long, though, and at a particular jumps she slips, splashing back into the water.]

Fluttershy! [He immediately swims over to her, supporting her up into free air.] Are you okay??

[She sputters a bit, breathing heavily as she tries to catch her breath. She's shaking a little, and for a moment it's hard to tell what she's thinking.

But then she looks at Chris, and a smiles spreads across her face.] Can we do that again?

[He blinked, then laughed and smiled brightly.] Sure!

I can teach you real quick to ask 'em yourself?

[If possible, her smile seemed to grow wider at that.] Okay...!

Alright! [Grinning, he held an arm around her to support her, then gestured at the dolphins.]

It's kind of adapted language, since our vocal chords can't produce the exact sounds. But dolphins still understand it, and we're able to communicate just fine. Now, repeat after me, 'kay?

[And looking back at Fluttershy he makes a short series of noises, going slowly enough that she can, hopefully, mimic them.]

[Holding on to him and doing her best to keep floating, she listens carefully to the sounds he makes, and then very carefully tries to imitate them.

"Tries" being the keyword in this case.]

[He chuckled softly and repeated himself, going even slower. It was a sound at a time, waiting for her to repeat it, going over it again until she got it right before moving on.]

[She repeated the noises after him, and soon enough managed to get them to sound right.

Or at least presumably, since as soon as she says the whole string of noises together, Click swims under her and takes off again.]

[Chris grinned, as around him the rest of the pod started hopping around in the waves. He swished his tail and dived in, swimming to keep up with Click.]

[This time Fluttershy manages to hold on better, but eventually still slips and falls back in the water.

She's laughing as she resurfaces, shaking her water-logged hair from her face.]

Oh goodness, that is so much fun!

[Swimming in a circle in the depths by her, he came up beside her with a warm laugh of his own.]

It is, isn't it?

[She nods, dipping her head back to smooth out her hair.]

Do you do this often? Swim with the dolphins...

Sort of, yeah. [He stays close to her, in case she needs him for support.] Enough to have made friends with all the dolphins in this area.
