[It goes without saying that Edward Nygma is a man who is always on time, some might call him anal retentive but to Ed he just likes proper schedules and organization. It's not HIS fault that not everyone understands or follows that idea.

And it would seem that today everyone includes his boyfriend.

Ed stands at Matt's front door for their dinner date, waiting after buzzing his suite and texting him twice.

[ Matt is late. Very late.

But he had to move quickly to handle a lead as Daredevil and that meant standing up Edward. He hadn't done that yet. Not like this. It always happens in the end. Between breaking up a human trafficking ring and being on time for a dinner date he's going to pick the fight.

But it means he shows up late and he has a nasty bruise developing on his right jaw from a punch he didn't dodge in time. He's breathless as he comes up the stairs knowing Edward is waiting. ]

[Matt hasn't seen Ed's temper yet, it can be volatile, scathing and sometimes even dangerous and when Ed finally sees Matt coming up the stairs he can feel that temper start to boil up and out. He opens his mouth to speak, okay more like yell, but stops short when he sees the bruise and lacerations on Matt's face.]

He opens his apartment and lets them both inside. He's stiff and clearly more beat up under his clothes. ]
