How It Works

Sometimes, memes can be awkward. There's always that feeling that, if you don't know the person behind the curtain, you'll be intruding somehow. Don't worry. We've all been there. Still, it's nice to have that little reassurance that hey, it's cool. We're all in this together and we just want to play. That's where this meme comes in! The point here is to play with someone you've never played with before, OR play with a character/canon you're unfamiliar with. The prompts provided include mundane activities, chance meetings, platonic fluff, romance/smut, fighting, and crack. This is pretty much the granddaddy of meme variety, so there should be something for just about everyone. INSTRUCTIONS - Comment with you character(s). [The local saloon is oddly peaceful for a change. Locals come and go, but the strangers that take passage through the town have all dried up in the desert sun recently.

All but two it appears.

Ulysses is only passing through like so many others, the small saloon a temporary stop on a long journey. There is no hiding he is a traveler and not from there; his hair bound in shoulder length strains and duster riddled with symbols.

He takes to the corner of the building and watches locals pass. Setting to his left on the wall is a flag pole, but not flag. It is a strange sight, but none really dare to approach the topic.]

The baby was now four months old and Rachel only had two more weeks off before going back to work. She was starting to feel claustrophobic, mostly just going to the park with the kids and Rocky and Cam when he was home.

She knew marrying a cop meant sometimes she'd spend nights alone while he worked. She got used to it but didn't like it. After leaving the kids at their apartment with the nanny, she headed to the precinct to surprise Cam and see if he wanted lunch but they told him he was out working on a case.

A little disappointed, she walked down to the coffee shop at the end of the block but stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Cam at a table with some female she didn't know. He was way too close to her and they looked way too cozy together. Whether or not it was part of his case, she had no idea. She watched them a few moments as she decided what to do.

[trains are absolutely, positively ridiculous. arriving to board them just in the nick of time to see them take off down the tracks is even worse. either his karma is out of whack today or someone up there really knows how to push his buttons in all the right ways because he really did think he was gonna make it. evidently having long legs doesn't make you a good runner. let's put that bit of handy trivia on the table where we can see it.

by the time the Once-ler finally manages to pull it together, the train is already growing smaller in the distance. now would be a good time to use his back-up plan.
