Life is hard. You can go through rough patches and over bumps, and sometimes it feels as though you're definitely worse for the wear, both physically and mentally. It's nice to have someone - someone more than a friend - there for you in those times...even if you don't think you want them or deserve them. But they're here, and they'll take care of you.

How to Play:
* This is a shipping meme for more tender, soft moments, but a little more serious than your usual "fluff." It's for people who've been broken down by their experience and those who wish to heal them.
* Comment with your character/your preferences. You may also want to specify whether your character will be the one "cared for" or the one doing the "caring" + pertinent information, but for most effectiveness, it's best to be open to both.
* Comment around.

1. Know You've Been Hurt By Someone Else: There are scars left on their heart from a past relationship or fling, and you have to let them know you're not the same way.

[Not sleeping wasn't anything new for him, but he found himself lying there in bed, eyes shooting over to his phone, his fingers fidgeting with themselves as he tried not to grab for it.

He lasted for about fifteen minutes before he did, picking it up and scrolling through to a certain number.]

[Isaac was in the between ages of sleeping and being awake, it was too hot in his room and he was now just a tangled mess of bedsheets and frustration. Hearing his text tone go off introduced a new challenge of trying to reach his phone from a tomb of blankets but he succeeded and his face lit up.]

kinda. well, I am now. what's up?

I can't sleep.

[He didn't need to go into detail, but yeah, not sleeping. So guess what, Isaac? You were getting pestered.]

[Isaac is now fully awake, rolling to lie on his front in bed.]

you okay?

[silverson]

Yeah. Just can't sleep. Thought of you. Hoped you were up.

thinking of me late at night? I should be flattered, right?

[Alan smiled, amused at the teasing.]

Maybe. It means you get a wake up call in the middle of the night. Take that how you want it.

i'll take it as a good thing. at least its not an emergency ending in something tragic?

No emergency. No tragedy. Just insomnia. What are you doing?

does lying in bed count as anything worth telling you?

well you sorta woke me up, there's not exactly much else I could be doing, get your mind out of the gutter Alan :P

its too hot, i'd need an ice bath. p.s. ice baths aren't fun.

Get sweaty. Sweat helps you cool off. I could get you a fan for your room.

pretty sure neither of us are going anywhere this late.

[What he means is, people would freak if A) one of them wasn't in the right bed come morning or B) one of them was found in the wrong bed come morning.]

really? you don't remember what happened last time we started texting??

[He hits send and taps the phone against the roof for a minute. Not bothering to wait for a reply because he'll only get nervous or something stupid he hits dial as well.]

[Yes, he does remember, and he's smiling as he slides a hand over himself over the sheet covering him. He's wearing underwear, but that's not a problem for a bit of pressure from his hand. His smile widens when he sees Isaac's number pop up, answering it with a cheeky grin.]

So texting is a no but phone sex is okay?

I can almost hear you touching yourself, you know.

[He lies back on the roof, staring up at the sky.]
