Life is hard. You can go through rough patches and over bumps, and sometimes it feels as though you're definitely worse for the wear, both physically and mentally. It's nice to have someone - someone more than a friend - there for you in those times...even if you don't think you want them or deserve them. But they're here, and they'll take care of you.

How to Play:
* This is a shipping meme for more tender, soft moments, but a little more serious than your usual "fluff." It's for people who've been broken down by their experience and those who wish to heal them.
* Comment with your character/your preferences. You may also want to specify whether your character will be the one "cared for" or the one doing the "caring" + pertinent information, but for most effectiveness, it's best to be open to both.

[His eyebrows raise slightly at that, thankful that Alan can't see the surprised expression. Really after all of the talk of Alan looking for sex the night they did it he thought it would just be back the same way as before.]

Or not. Whatever. It's not like anyone can tell you what to do.

Wait, Alan, are you okay?

[His voice is full of genuine concern, not entirely sure what was going on here.]

Yeah. Yeah. I'm... I'm good.

[He forced himself to smile, to take a deep breath.]

[Isaac is now just worried, maybe he'd done something wrong about the situation unknowingly.]

Is it something I did?

No, no. You didn't do anything, Isaac. It's fine. Really.

[Because sharing that he'd had a momentary ping of jealousy over someone he wasn't dating seemed... dumb.]

[Isaac doesn't really know what to say, some part of him feels like he's said or done something wrong but he didn't exactly want to lose Alan so quickly.]

[Alan can feel the awkwardness over the phone and that wasn't what he wanted. At all.]

[He sighs, lying back on the roof. He's pretty sure that's the end of the awkward conversation but he'd figure it out sometime.]

Do you know any of the constellations?

No...

[Its not like he really spent a lot of time stargazing. He liked to imagine the stars sometimes, especially in those moments where all he saw was the lid of a freezer. The vast expanse of the sky at night was the most open thing he experienced.]

Why make them into something? They're good to just look at..

I don't know. Ask the people that made them in the first place. I know a few; Orion, Big and Little Dipper, the North Star. Other than that, I can't remember too much.

Sorry. I just, um, don't really get called beautiful or compared to stars often. That's... sweet, Isaac.
