[it was, initially, an accident. scott had wanted to talk to allison but didn't want it to seem like a date -- they were complicated -- so he asked isaac to come along because stiles was busy. until, scott had an emergency at the vet clinic and couldn't go, so he asked isaac to at least take her out to eat.

which was weird, but he didn't ask, because couples, or ex couples, are complicated. so here he is, standing at allison's door. he knocks a couple of times before slipping his hands into his pockets, tilting his head back to look up at the second floor. her light is on and he's hoping that she'll hear the knock instead of her father.]

[ hearing that scott wasn't going to be there was... weird, sure, but allison wasn't about to dip out on dinner. first of all, she'd feel bad, and second... well, sure things were a little weird between isaac and allison, but she liked him all the same. she'd even, if she was allowed, consider him a friend. more than? no.... nah.

the light in her room goes out, she says goodbye to her dad, and in a few minutes, she's there at the door, wearing a skirt and a shirt, and a big grin. ]

Hey, Isaac. [ there's a little wave, while she shuts the door. ] You ready?

[isaac gives allison a once-over. he can't help it, he's a guy. okay, he can help it, but she looks pretty cute. he gives a half shrug and nods. he doesn't smile back besides a tiny twitch of his lips that eases into a smirk.]

Yeah. Where do you wanna eat?

[he takes a few steps back, then he blinks a few times, as if startled awake by his thoughts.]

Oh. Sorry, I walked here. [he should really work on getting a license. or a car.] It okay if we take your car?

Yeah, that's fine. [ she nods, a fond smile on her lips. walking all the way to her house would normally impress her, but - werewolf. it's hard to be impressed when you know what they're capable of. still, though. it's almost... endearing that he came all the way, even though he didn't have to.she touched? there's something there, but she can't quite name that special adoration-almost. ]

What are your thoughts on pizza? [ said while she takes the step in front of him, digging her keys out of her purse. ]

That I should eat it more often.

[he grins at her. this is for scott, or at least, he thinks it is. he's not that sure why he agreed to it in the first place. the only reason was that it was for scott and that was it, but it's kind of making isaac question his priorities. was it really his responsibility to take allison out?

probably, yes, it's the nice thing to do. and he doesn't really mind, anyway, now that he thinks about it. he didn't have anything else to do before coming by, and it's a nice way to spend his time, sort of. he isn't quite sure how to act around her yet. she did stab him. twenty times.]
