The Rabbit Done Died (v. 2)

"The rabbit died" is an old saying meaning one is pregnant, coming from the now no longer practiced rabbit test.

You want to be pregnant. You're trying to become pregnant. Or you are pregnant. Even if you're not typically in possession of a womb, somehow it's happening. Are you scared? Excited? Nervous? Happy? Gassy? A combination of everything? And who's the father, anyway?

1. Post with your character with their name and series in the subject line. If you want to avoid any of the options, this would also be a good place to list them.
2. This is one of those RNG memes, so you'll want to go to our good friend Random Number Generator and roll 1-9 for your situation. Or just pick what one you'd prefer.
3. If you're replying to someone, roll 1-4 for how you factor into this madness!

So, where are you anyway?

1. Trying to become pregnant - Sometimes it takes some trying. But at least the trying isn't unpleasant.

2. One month - You're just starting to suspect. You just missed a period. Or you just tested positive. Whichever it is, you have a long way to go.

3. Two months - Sooooo all this sickness is kind of annoying, isn't it? At least you can still fit in your old clothes, right?

4. Four months - Okay, so things are getting a little tight. Time to break out the flowy stuff!

5. Six months - OH MY GOD IT'S AN ALI-- oh, no. It's just the baby moving. Although it's still kind of creepy, isn't it?

6. Eight months - Please. Please let it be over. Have mercy.

7. Overdue - C'mon kid! I'll buy you a pony! NO! TWO PONIES! My baaaaaack.

8. In labor - Exactly what it implies. You're having that kid!

9. Wildcard - Your choice!

[Six months. Six months of pure, unadulterated, heart-stopping terror and fits of paranoia that could put a conspiracy theorist to shame. Warsman doesn't know if he's had a full night's sleep in any of that time- only yesterday his last client caught him trying to trying to feed the cat cement and pave their garden path with Whiskas- and he's not even the one bearing the brunt of the- ah- the matter. So to speak.

Somehow, he's gone all of this time without saying the word "pregnant". Even "expecting" brought him out in chills for a while, which, needless to say, was anything but kind on his conversational skills. He's worked on it, though. Now it only compels him to throw a deeply apologetic look Sasuke's way. Progress indeed.

Now he's hovering in the doorway on his return from work, looking anxiously around the flat for Sasuke. He's not sure what he expects to see every time he does this (no, he does know, he's just too nervous to linger on the image for too long) but it's become habitual even so.]

Sasuke...? [He closes the door behind him, feeling faintly like an intruder.]

However, they are present, and at the moment she is sitting at the kitchen table with her hands on her stomach, waiting for water to boil for tea. The herbs help her to relax, and they make the strain on her muscles easier to bear. Her fingers glide over her swollen belly and she hums absently, eyes unfocused but gaze toward the surface of the table. ]

[Six months along and Temari was the talk of the village when she came to visit. Usually pregnant kunoichi would retire, at least temporarily. She still kept up her duties as liaison between the leaf and the sand villages. Gaara couldn't leave his post as Kazekage, so Kankuro had traveled with her this time. Even six months pregnant, Temari had made that long, arduous journey through the desert into the Leaf village.

It had taken it's toll on her. She was tired and more then a little cranky that Shikamaru wasn't there to greet her. He'd taken a last minute mission.

She was out, walking through the center of the village when she spotted him. His masked face buried in that silly, perverted book]
