I know the feeling. I've found getting as noisy as possible at least drowns them out and will sometimes convince them to go away.

Oh, Maker, that just makes it worse. Especially when one or two of them - a lady pirate and a dwarf, mind - park it outside of my bedroom window and "howl along".

Oh no! I suppose if you're all friends, your companions will become immune to any embarrassment and will learn to taunt you in New and exciting ways. I rarely travel with the same crew twice so they don't have time to get used to it.

They were immune to embarrassment long before any of us actually met. And I know for a fact that at least one of them spends the down time dreaming up those new and exciting ways to torment me. It gives his life zest, I swear.

You should consider yourself fortunate, if so. Although there's a bit of security in continuity, forever meeting new associates can keep life interesting.

I'm a treasure hunter. Being occupied in a legal gray area means people prefer to come and go. But it's never a dull moment and one meets all kinds of people. And I love meeting new people all the time. I can't imagine staying in one place for longer than a day or two.

Ooh, sounds fun. I've dabbled in the profession a time or two, although finding anything of value has usually been accidental. And while wandering does sound appealing at times, I'm nice and tied down in Kirkwall, with house and relatives both.

And the city's insistent that it'd just wither and die were I to ever leave it, so...there's that. [ The eyeroll and snort afterwards clearly state his opinion on the matter. ]

Yeah I don't think I could ever be a hero. People start needing you when you do that and wanting you to stick around. I'm more of a "here for a good time, not for a long time" kinda gal.

It wasn't a job I applied for, believe me. It's actually more trouble than it's ever been worth. So I'd say your instincts are insanely right, listen to them.
