On The Run Meme

Maybe something went wrong, or maybe it's just another normal day in your life, but you've found yourself on the run. Did you commit a crime, or cross the wrong person, or simply end up in the wrong place at the wrong time? Whatever the reason behind your situation is, your goal is the same: don't get caught.

How To Play

• Comment with your character, and if you're feeling ambitious put in a bit of a starter. Who are you running from and why?

• Respond to others, either as their partner on the run or part of the force chasing them.

• Have epic adventures, fall in love, utterly fail and get caught. See how it goes!
• RNG for some extra unpredictable fun.

Scenarios
1. Running from the cops. You broke the law, whether it was shoplifting or murder, and now you've got a warrant out for your arrest.
2. Attracted the wrong attention. You made someone angry, or obsessed, or otherwise drawn their ire and now they're after you.
3. Somewhere or somewhen. You've ended up in a place and/or time in which you're not welcome.
4. Wildcard!

Relationships
1. Friends (or more.) You've known each other for awhile and are on good terms, so hopefully you can rely on each other in this situation.
2. Circumstantial allies. Strangers, enemies, or otherwise you've ended up in this mess together, and it might benefit you both to cooperate.
3. Opposite sides. One of you is the runner, and the other is pursuing. Which will prevail?
4. Wildcard!

Complications
1. Late to the party. How many people did you piss off? In addition to whoever was already after you, someone else now is as well. Maybe they'll take each other out?
2. Confrontation. They've found you, and it's come down to a fight.
3. Disguise. You can't evade them, but you can hope they won't recognize you. Better be a good actor!

[ Nomadic-by-nature hitchhiking ghost with a knack for showing up just when someone needs some help on the road. Setting-wise she can be anywhere in North America from the mid-50's to modern day. Likely to be found on the road, in diners, truck stops and rest stops, but anywhere near a road works. ]

[Will be helping the person run, though not against him being the one helped--Might be a nice change in dynamic. M/F if it gets shippy.]

[Might not look it from a glance, but he's fairly ripped--If you're on the run and he decides to help you, expect the baddies to get a beatdown so long as they're not cops.]

[Harpers go where they're needed. The transient nature of Renny's duties inured him against loneliness and homesickness. He tells Fever as much - don't worry your head over it, we hear the call and answer - and means it. When you make a living out of hunting other hunters, you must learn to adapt in a moment's notice or die.

So Renny hits the road with Fever, in a motorized cart whose battered frame belies its sturdiness. It's a bit of a small squeeze - halfling vehicles weren't exactly comfortable for the bigger races, although he's tried to accommodate her by putting the back seats down. The radio softly plays an old Midwinter tune.]

The 1930’s have been bad for humans. Everyone and everything is so…depressing. (Great Depression jokes? Yes they are.). Things are better outside of all that. Griffin is still surprised how easy it was to slip out of and leave normal society behind completely.

Almost completely. Every now and then he does end up having to dip an invisible toe back in. And, well…

“Marlowe! How’s my favorite private dick?”

Marlowe may be human (Griffin is 99% sure), but he sort of resembles a gremlin in a comforting way, and smells like booze in an even more comforting way. And Griffin doesn’t actually know any other detectives.
