The rest of his kin had retreated, out gunned and outnumbered. They'd left behind many, mostly refugees like him, who had come here seeking a better life only to get war.

He'd been caught in the crossfire, but if he went to a hospital, he'd be turned in to the military to be dealt with. He'd patched himself up as best he could and wandered the streets, scraping for food, keeping to the alleys, and the night.

He climbed up the emergency stairs of an apartment building and found an open window, left so to allow the cool air wash out the muggy early summer heat. The place was dark. The owner must be asleep, or out. He hoped they were out, it would allow him to get in, patch himself up a bit better and steal something to eat...

Slowly, he opened the window and squeezed his seven and half foot frame, plus prehensile tail, inside the living room. He made his way around the small place on silent steps to see if it was empty or not.

[Okay, upon retrospect, maybe creating an army of zombie ghosts that were impervious to angel and demon weapons wasn't such a good idea...especially when you have someone like Scanty holding the vile. But in her defense, if those damn angels hadn't been so difficult to kill, they wouldn't have had to resort to such measures.

...nevermind the fact that Kneesocks was working with one of said angels just to stop these damn things. Desperate times call for desperate measures.]

Don't get the wrong idea, Angel. [Her tone sounds rather annoyed as she horizontally bisects three zombies with a plain old scythe. Thank the devil scythes were considered garden/farming tools.] Once this is over, we're back to being enemies.
