Yeah, and so?

[ It's not as if Crowley's in any particular hurry. He's got the angel right where he wants him, all that lovely skin under his hands and his lips. Sure, his prick is getting hard, trapped as it is between their bodies, but he's not worried about that - not yet, anyway. ]

This was your idea. What did you want to happen?

Hmmm. I wanted us to enjoy the moment.

[ Which, by his tone, is definitely happening.

[ While they were definitely building up to something more sultry, the question actually comes with the angel's brand of earnestness, almost threatening to break the moment.]

[ Well that's an interesting proposition, but certainly one that has its appeal. Neither of them has any real need to wash, of course - this entire bath thing is just for the fun of it, they can miracle themselves clean. But Crowley loves it when Aziraphale runs fingers through his hair, toys with it, tugs at it. So, washing it? ]

Sure, angel.

[ He says that nonchalantly, but inside he's jumping around like an excitable puppy at the prospect. ]

We might need to shift around again. How d'you want me?

[ The angel looks elated that Crowley agrees to the idea. Of course, this was another thing he read in the romances that gave him this idea in the first place - the intimate act of washing each other, especially the hair, the vulnerability in it, the trust, the care. Part of him is being very methodical about this, but the intent is indeed romantic.

He looks around at the tub.]

Right. Perhaps- sit in the middle, I'll go behind you.

[ He does have shampoos and other products lined together with whatever he's brought to make the bathwater so nicely scented. He is prepared, and he is eager.]

[ Crowley obediently shifts around, so that Aziraphale can fit behind him, has best access to his hair.

It is all very romantic, and he is feeling very seduced. Warm, comfortable, loved and seduced. So if that's what the angel was going for, it has succeeded. ]

[ Indeed it was, and its all going according to plan. The plan of pampering the demon, and maybe even himself, through a nice comfortable experience for the senses.

He shifts carefully behind him, sitting on his knees rather than on the bottom of the tub. The tub itself is large and luxurious, after all.

Instead of using the showerhead, he opts to instead bring the got scented water up to gently wet Crowley's hand. It's all very careful, very precise.]

Have you ever had this done?

[ Crowley sighs, immediately relaxing into the angel's touches. He loves having Aziraphale's hands on him, in any capacity, and in his hair? Yeah. Love it. Perfect. 10/10, no notes. ]

Not really. Y'know, back in the day, a squire might've dumped a bucket of water over me now and then.

[ As far as baths go, things really weren't that absolutely dire a few centuries ago as people seem to thing. But it's definitely evolved a lot since then. He tried to visit a market store and there was just so much! And it all smelled wonderful!]

Have you never gone to a barber? Or a hairdresser.

[ All knights had squires. ]

Not really, no. I just miracle it the way I want it, usually. I remember one time, in Judea, some kids braided it for me.

Did so much running around, I barely had the time to pay any mind to them.

[ With the demon's hair wet, he looks back at the few bottles of products he'd bought. He isn't sure what to make out of any of the categories. But he knows what smells nice. So he picks one likely through that method.

He pours some in his hand, begins to work it into Crowley's lovely fiery hair.]

Guess so. They were good at braiding and I liked them. The braids. Well, the kids, too, I s'pose. I gave them all sorts of naughty ideas, about not listening to their parents and playing pranks and whatnot.

[ Crowley sighs, talking now mostly just for the sake of it. He's fully relaxed, though, and the shampoo does smell nice. ]

What about you? Have you had a barber for as long as barbers have existed?

[ The little story makes the angel smile. Because of course Crowley was doing kinder things even way back then. And of course he pepped it with some mischievousness too. ]

Not quite that early, I don't think, but close. Eventually I just had to see for myself what all the fuss was about.

Nowadays, it's a much more pleasant process. You should try it. You might enjoy it.

[ Crowley slumps forward a bit, letting him get at the back of his head, down to his neck. ]

[ They can miracle everything right, but what if he ruins Crowley's hair before that? What if, Heaven forbid, nicked his lovely face while giving him a shave? No, no, that won't do.]

There's also manicures. A lot less risk doing that.

But having it done by professionals is just an enjoyable experience. A little bit of pampering, as it were.
