[sarcasm. dabi knows kurogiri is sincere in his comments; the man doesn't know how to be sarcastic.]
about yourself or sex?
[might as well make that distinction, since they're talking about this. those doubts and curiosities the other man is dealing with are surprising, but they're not impossible to answer. if he wants to break some rules and make afo and the doctor uncomfortable. then again, the ramifications for doing so are... likely not positive for him either.
hm. complications.]
one thing at a time. you'll probably figure that out in time.
[He might not be known for his sarcasm, but he's used to others indulging in it.]
I meant myself initially, but I suppose that sex would be part of it.
[Though it's not a subject he's spared much (if any) thought for over the years, when he does pause to consider it now, he experiences a strange, uneasy curiosity. Uneasy, because he has the sense that he shouldn't be thinking about such things. It's a distraction.
He knows he's very useful because of his quirk, but he doesn't flatter himself that he's so invaluable that he won't suffer consequences for disobeying or disregarding orders. Then who would protect Tomura Shigaraki? But at the same time, he should explore and conquer this uncertainty, so he can better protect his charge.]
[kurogiri has the patience of ten thousand angels. that or he's just had his impatience neutered. which is pretty damn pathetic.]
one of those is a lot easier to learn more about.
[between the two, dabi's pretty sure that afo and the doctor would be less concerned about kurogiri learning more of sex than of himself. he's aware of the man's determination and single-minded focus on shigaraki's well being, and that distractions like sex aren't paramount to his duties. but then again, that's why dabi suggested doing something about that while tomura slept. boot the others out for some chores or something. he's sure they could clear kurogiri's "schedule" for a short while.
but that's only if the warper wants to make that effort; dabi's not someone to put forth personal exertion for other people's sakes. not without getting something he wants, and equal effort on the other side, in return. he's a lazy, selfish bastard. though on another hand, dabi's pretty damn sure afo wouldn't care too much for idyllic explorations on the occasion. they spent plenty of time hanging around the bar doing fuck all while the league was in its starting days.]
that's somethin a lot of us have: time. after all, we're the ones that do the action, not the reaction.
[heroes act because of what villains do. in other words, they control the course of their own development. and if they control that, then they can control their own lives. reaching one point after another on their personal journeys, right?]

It has taken a lot of time to reach this point.
