[He can't fool her, contrarian as he is. As soon as she hears that, she's up and gathering the little first aid kit that has come in handy more often than she'd expected.]
I can't leave you alone for two minutes. You'd fall apart without me.
[And she's up. She may be a little unsteady on her feet, but here she is, looking in on Jin as he attempts to make breakfast as he'd promised. He really is a sweet person dealt a terrible hand by the world and his own genetics.
When she trudges in, one large hand plops down on top of his head.]
[ Jin's situation is closer to embarrassment than injury. He's in casual clothing, aside from his mask. A mask which is askew, ands half off. Same as his shoes. As instructed, he'd taken a deep whiff of his boot and the foulness had made him fall backwards. That was what the yell was about. ]
Just my ego... And my ass! Yeow!
[ He bends backwards to look up at her with a grin that's visible for once, striking one of his bizarre poses. Event bent back, his arms continue to whip up fried eggs. He really is pretty good! He had to be, living alone all this time. One hand is a bit scorched. He sniffed the boot while holding a pan. He's just too excited to be doing something nice for a friend, his choices are... fuzzy. ]
Oh, and just a little burn. I'm definitely gonna die from it, say your last goodbye, my friend!
[One day. One day they would learn that she knew what she was talking about when it came to these common sense things.
She's used to his oddness at least, her hands propping on her hips as she watches him cooking those eggs. They look pretty good from where she's standing at least. That hand gets an arched eyebrow, and she shakes her head with a rueful little smile.]
I'll bring flowers to your shrine and everything. [Just moving to the sink a couple of paces away and wetting a rag that had definitely seen better days, something to lay on that burn to keep it from blistering. And as soon as that's done she'll take the bottom of his mask and pull it snug again.]
[ Jin can handle these sorts of simple tasks by himself most of the time, but since joining the League his enthusiasm gets the better of him. There are people who care about him here, and it's so wonderfully new! He has to do everything he can to keep them. ]
Eh? Oh! Thanks, Sis! That burnt felt great! [ Being so casually cared for and tidied up... he feels like a kid again! In the best way! Jin splits his attention, a skill he's a master of for a variety of reasons, holding out his burnt hand and plating up the eggs at the same time. One-handed spatula skills! ] Sorry for being such a nuisance- I wanted to take care of you for once! Pfft, no way- I only look out for myself.
[ With the mask on, all his contradictions seem natural. He trusts her to understand which of his comments are his true feelings- gratitude for her kindness and regret for causing her trouble. ]
