1. proposal {
1. park - you've been planning this proposal for awhile and have taken your sweetheart to a nice secluded area in the park. are they going to say yes or leave you in the dust?
2. house - dimmed lights, candles, home made dinner. it's obvious you've fixed yourself up for something tonight. let's see if your lover catches on before the question is popped.
3. public event - perhaps you're one who wants to gain a lot of attention; maybe your significant other doesn't as much. either way, this goes from writing their message in the sky with an airplane to something like a flash mob ensemble with others involved.
4. restaurant - nothing romantic like taking them out somewhere ritzy and hiding the rings in that glass of expensive wine.
5. car - you've driven them somewhere nostalgic or meaningful either to you or each other, or perhaps just a good view overlooking the city cause maybe you had no other idea how to do it or couldn't afford anything else.
2. marriage {
1. traditional - both parties have agreed and said yes, and everything goes well just like in the fairy tales you've always dreamed of.
2. arranged - you had no say so in this but somebody else like your parents did. you've never seen this person before until you walk down the aisle. what are your thoughts? are you nervous? what if you two don't get along? looks like you have to deal with it either way. enjoy?
3. elope - nothing fancy. you know, they do make drive thru chapels or perhaps you're just going to experience the excitement of meeting up at the court. all and all, it doesn't matter, just so you have your sweetheart to yourself.
4. shotgun - congrats, somebody is pregnant. there's only one more thing left to do now..
5. disaster - looks like somebody forgot the rings! never mind the fact the maid of honor is having a wardrobe malfunction or that soon to be father in law is causing a scene of some sort.
3. after marriage {
1. honeymoon night - self explanatory! come on, you know what this means. it just wouldn't be the same without this option.
2. new addition - it could be a pregnancy or bringing home a new child, or something as simple as a new pet goldfish.
3. house purchase - after months of living in a trashy apartment, you're both about to sign the dotted line and move into your new place.
4. argument - deep, relationship sort of arguments or something petty like who drank all the milk; it's up to you!
5. divorce - somebody has had enough of this and is ready to move on. how will it all go down?

If Ferox tried to say lock him up to keep him safe or started following him around like Dean couldn't take care of himself Dean might take offense to that, but they would have to be some extreme measures.
They could always talk kids instead. I'm open to whatever.]

Pack over one shoulder, Ferox had a almost a skip in his measured steps, happy to be going home, to get to bring Dean there, but this also worried him too, which was why the alluded to playfulness was not manifested in full. A grin kept sneaking up on him as he glanced over at Dean, even though the marred forehead contained a worried frown. Opposites contained, that was Ferox.
ooc: Yeah, I can easily see F fighting others for Dean, but not actually fighting Dean himself. A spar, yes, but nothing with angry intent that lasts more than a flash of anger. When someone pushes his mad button, or bites him, yes the initial snarl is bad, but if it's someone he cares about, it usually doesn't go any further. F is really tightly controlled in that regard. In most layers his joyfulness has also been controlled too, but here he's pretty open to Dean on that aspect. This is one of the happiest F's he's ever been.

The train would be a nice way to travel too. He would probably sleep a lot of the ride but he'd be fine. "If you grin any wider your jaw will fall off."

The LIRR was a little late, but as this was a peak travel time, everyone trying to get home or out of the city, of course there was a delay and the platform was packed. Ferox kept a hand on his husband, his dislike for crowds barely hidden, shoulders tense wanting to stuff themselves in his ears, very aware of his personal space and belongings. The mechanical noises only made it worse. He didn't mind the reassuring music of the train when he was actually in one moving towards a destination, but the before bit hurt his stomach and head. Hated this part.

"The train will be quieter." He kissed the side of his head. "Just a minute. I can feel the train on the tacks."
no subject
He heard a grunt in his chest, acknowledging what was said, that this awful part was almost over.
If it had only been the noise of people, Ferox would not have been so anxious, it was those unexpected things that were inorganic and more difficult to meld into some reassuring background noise that would have the hair on the back of his neck rising. That Dean was comfortable said they were nothing to be concerned about, but most of the chaos could not be put into a recognizable pattern.
The first time he went out to Orient, Ferox ended up taking one of the buses to the Point, he had tried the trains, like the maps and other information Dean's sharing gave him, but the sound drove him away...the bus was bad enough. Slowly, some of these strange things were becoming 'normal', the panic much less than in those first days when the constant honking of horns and buzzing of strange lights had every nerve protesting. Never felt so out of place in all of his layers, never so stressed as that first year when, although he knew his own story, couldn't guess how this layer would twist the tale into something unrecognizable. Not that he ever met a dragon or darkspawn, thankfully...perhaps those creatures were represented by the differences that he could not comprehend.
The train soon arrived and keeping a tight grip, so as not to be separated, they soon found seats and a breath that Ferox had been holding for sometime, exhaled with relief.

"Do you mind if I put my headphones on and sleep?" He was good with travel but when he wasn't driving it got boring. There was just countryside to look at which was great for some people. It wasn't for Dean.

Some of Ferox's tailored items, having been posted online had developed into a little business of his own. Faire garb most might call it, the clothing that he created varied from leathers armour and coats to fine silks and wool trousers and tops, loose flowing fabrics primarily fastened with lacings so that nearly any size could wear them. Yes, there were some fitted pieces in the bunch, but those were tailored to specific individuals and took much more time and care...not that Ferox ever cut corners, everything was handmade, or rather hand sung...He had observed someone use a sewing machine and the noise of it had him clapping hands over his ears. Yes, he could see the advantage of such a device but he would not stay in the same room with it. A antique treadle sewing machine had been added to his useful tools, the rhythm of it not unpleasant and it didn't seem to fight his songs like the electric one had.
Sketchbook pulled out as Dean settled in, Ferox's right hand was soon back in his husband's grip, left drawing some new creation. Humming, melding the repetitive sounds, very little was unexpected other than the voices around them.

Once the music started it wasn't long before Dean was asleep. He had perfected the ability to sleep anywhere. The train was nice because it rocked gently back and forth. Ferox was there too which was like icing on the cake.

While the pen moved over the page, Ferox kept an eye on Dean's lifethread, monitoring the differences but was unable to change what was happening...almost a fading. One he remembered feeling after he became the Zama and they traveled outside of his City. Awareness of surroundings faded, even if Ferox's ability with threads around him had not. Perhaps if he was truly the Zama, he could help, but that was not this layer. It was enough that he was aware and able to affect what he could without the crushing knowledge of absolutely everything around him.
His own abilities did not change being away or close to the City, so this distance might bring about some equalizing, even if his husband would be sitting lower in the water instead of floating up where Ferox still intellectually understood, but was far out of his view. Not that he considered that he was inadequate or unworthy, or that he didn't have any business being with Dean, rather it was a relief not to have those responsibilities and information that sometimes was rather overwhelming and difficult to not pay attention to.
Alise would be waiting for them.
no subject
It didn't take long for him to get a little bored though. Dean nuzzled Ferox's neck. "Mmm, did you get some work done?" he asked, nibbling just a little before he settled down again.
no subject
Dean could not see the colors he imagined, thankfully, colors that could only be heard, imagined, but then he always had a problem with oranges are orange, the sky is blue, grass is green...they were so much more than just simple descriptions. It was also why he didn't color real objects. Draw yes, color no. At least with coloring patterns or music there were no odd looks.
"How are you feeling?"
no subject
Sneakily - which was not very sneaky at all - Dean slipped his hand underneath Ferox's sweater and warmed his hand against his skin. "I'm feeling good. I can't do anything impressive magic wise but I'm good."
no subject
"You, my love, always impress me. As for the big things, I do not require fireworks or have some need to know what is around the corner, and I can get up to turn on the kettle for tea. We need nothing fancy, just you, just me."
no subject
"You know how I like to show off though." He sighed happily. "I'm going to try and impress you know and again. Just because I can."
no subject
Being with Dean on this journey was not something Ferox let himself hope for since learning of Dean was akin to a Zama, and leaving the city would be, at worst, impossible. Head on his shoulder, hand rubbing against his stomach, not even a song was missing. There was so much peace in this layer, Ferox had not been wrong when he called it a vacation.
"You'll just have to impress me with your physical skills and endurance this trip."
no subject
"When we get some time alone I'll show you just how good those are." The getting time alone part might be a little difficult. Ferox's family tended to hover. They were great people, just occasionally they cock-blocked him.
no subject
Those measures hadn't been taken for that particular reason, cold and security were the biggest factors in making that change to the summer housing, as after the house burnt down he had to live somewhere while taking care of the family assets and dealing with the trouble.

ooc: Finally got my project done. Woot! Last of the paperwork just finished and sent it out the door. Time to rest before the next one comes in.
