1. proposal {
1. park - you've been planning this proposal for awhile and have taken your sweetheart to a nice secluded area in the park. are they going to say yes or leave you in the dust?

2. house - dimmed lights, candles, home made dinner. it's obvious you've fixed yourself up for something tonight. let's see if your lover catches on before the question is popped.

3. public event - perhaps you're one who wants to gain a lot of attention; maybe your significant other doesn't as much. either way, this goes from writing their message in the sky with an airplane to something like a flash mob ensemble with others involved.

4. restaurant - nothing romantic like taking them out somewhere ritzy and hiding the rings in that glass of expensive wine.

5. car - you've driven them somewhere nostalgic or meaningful either to you or each other, or perhaps just a good view overlooking the city cause maybe you had no other idea how to do it or couldn't afford anything else.

2. marriage {
1. traditional - both parties have agreed and said yes, and everything goes well just like in the fairy tales you've always dreamed of.

2. arranged - you had no say so in this but somebody else like your parents did. you've never seen this person before until you walk down the aisle. what are your thoughts? are you nervous? what if you two don't get along? looks like you have to deal with it either way. enjoy?

3. elope - nothing fancy. you know, they do make drive thru chapels or perhaps you're just going to experience the excitement of meeting up at the court. all and all, it doesn't matter, just so you have your sweetheart to yourself.

4. shotgun - congrats, somebody is pregnant. there's only one more thing left to do now..

5. disaster - looks like somebody forgot the rings! never mind the fact the maid of honor is having a wardrobe malfunction or that soon to be father in law is causing a scene of some sort.

3. after marriage {
1. honeymoon night - self explanatory! come on, you know what this means. it just wouldn't be the same without this option.

2. new addition - it could be a pregnancy or bringing home a new child, or something as simple as a new pet goldfish.

3. house purchase - after months of living in a trashy apartment, you're both about to sign the dotted line and move into your new place.

4. argument - deep, relationship sort of arguments or something petty like who drank all the milk; it's up to you!

5. divorce - somebody has had enough of this and is ready to move on. how will it all go down?

Ah, now that makes sense. In the kids own environment, the teenager especially, would be more themselves.

Voice rumbling in his chest, the sketchbook was tucked next to the arm rest and Ferox's hand rested over Dean's hidden one, "Well, I certain Uncle Dean will have as much Thea as he can hold and maybe Amethyne will set aside her need to impress you and will work up a good teenage mope or tantrum. You are starting out at a disadvantage however."

"What? They like me already. That's the hard part right?" He looked up Ferox, frowning a little. He thought having kids like you was better than having them not like you. "Don't tell me there's a harder part. I don't want a harder part."

"No. When they like you is when it is easy. When they do not is the true test of parenting."

Cyni had lost count how many children he had, in one layer alone there was at least a dozen, many of whom were twins, but there they were trying to rebuild the population of those who could take on the burdens of being the Zama.

"Oriana calls herself 'The Evil Mom Lady' after some boy and his tiger, or I am told. And Fergus is the one that the girls run to when they are told 'no' then get in trouble for asking him the same question. We will probably be put in the same position."

Dean didn't think he'd be good at having kids mad at him. He didn't do well when his friends were mad at him. Having kids mad at him? Nope, he wouldn't handle that.

"It's a comic called Calvin and Hobbs. It's good. I'll show you it." He thought that Ferox might enjoy Calvin's imagination.

His hand squeezed Dean's through the sweater, "Love, when they are fighting you or pushing the boundaries, that is how you know you are doing a good job and probably the right thing. Each kid is different. Some never push, never disobey, are never rude...they are well behaved and perfect and wonderful... But I have to tell you, I like the troublemakers best. Yes, they're damn hard and make you question your sanity, but if you do it right they make the best people to be around after they grow up."

"This life, I will live again and it will be different. I do not worry one way or the other if we have children or not. I would love to have one or two or many with you...but they are not necessary to what we have together. This decision is actually yours to make, I am content with what you want to do. Yes, having them would make me happy, but not having I would also be happy, as either way, I am with you."

Ferox didn't often give a speech, and when he did, he tried to make them count. Too often he had been around people who talked endlessly, like a waterfall that would not stop and he could not identify one important drop of water from another. How could he tell if he was drowning in words? It was never something he wanted to do to others, unless they had asked for a story or an explanation, then it was their own fault if he had to carefully explain.
