The Darkest Timeline Meme

The Darkest Timeline.
Pick a point in your character's timeline. What choice did they make? What choice did others make that would have changed their world? Decide that choice, change it and go from there. Tag others to join in on the fun. The darker the new timeline, the better!

What are you talking about? What are you doing?

I'm gonna travel in time. I'm gonna find the Doctor, and do what somebody should've done a long time ago.
I'm gonna make him pay.
no subject
[And another tally mark. He sees that one, and it scares him. Or maybe he's just afraid in general.]
Melody. Give me the gun.
no subject
Not to mention dumping you and Mum here with me. That was just rude.
No! I thought you'd be proud of me for this! You're always telling me to put my mind to use, right? Take initiative. That's what I'm doing!

[Rory knows this feeling, knows that it's panic, and he can feel that it's not just because of her. Because of this. Something is wrong in this house, and he can't remember what it is.]
Melody, I love you. So much. But you need to give me the gun, there is something in the house.
[He shuts his mouth, not even entirely sure why he said that.]
no subject
There is? [Her attention perks up.] Is it my friends? They said they were coming for me....

Oh God.
[More tally marks on his hand. He looks at it, and around the room. They're here, and he knows it. He doesn't remember, doesn't even remember what they look like, but they're here.
So he tries to get the gun away from here.</small.]

Melody gasps, letting go of the gun as she staggers back. Her other hand clutches beneath her jacket. When she shakily pulls it out, her palm is stained with blood. Wide, fearful eyes flicker to Rory.]
Daddy?
[Her voice is small, her legs are shaking.
Melody falls.]

You're going to be okay. It's okay...
no subject
Daddy, I don't wanna die yet!
no subject
[He just has to find a phone. Call for help.]
no subject
[Her eyes flick upwards, and she sees one of her 'friends' - the gangly suited monsters who've been whispering in her ear all her life.
Thisss is what you were born to do. Born to die and kill the Doctor. Embrace your destiny, Melody Pond.]
That doesn't make any sense!
no subject
Stay away from her.
[He dials emergency, and sets the phone on the floor. He's not foolish enough to think that they'd let him talk to emergency services, but keeping the line open? They'll send someone.]
no subject
Dad...it stopped. I think...I think it's fixing me.
no subject
[That'd be a relief, wouldn't it? But...he's not so certain.]
no subject
Oh.
[She groans. Pain. She thought the pain was gone, but no, but it's a NEW pain. She feels like she's being torn apart from the inside out, like the light is piercing her.
And then it is. The light overwhelms her and she screams, just as every atom of her being screams, and her last thoughts are of her mother and father, and how she'd been so looking forward to growing up...]
no subject
[He watches this, horrified. Fearful. For the first time in a long time, he doesn't know what to do. How to fix this, how to stop it. Whatever this even is.]
no subject
...Well then. That was an adventure.
no subject
...Melody?
we interrupt this angsty timeline for a brief comedic interlude
[She taps her front teeth with her finger, and suddenly becomes aware that her shirt isn't fitting quite as well as before. She looks down at her figure.]
Oh. Oh. [Eyebrows raised, she looks back up to her father, her own shock reflecting his. She tucks the leather jacket around herself, feeling modest because DAD.] ....Oh, Jeremy's SO not going to like this.
hooray :)
We...we need to go.
Side-effect of regeneration - comedy to be had
*exactly*
