Um, I think so. But she also said she was going shopping. I think she's trying to get you an anniversary present on time, for once.

[That'd be something, wouldn't it. It certainly makes this more difficult.

[Melody reaches inside her jacket, frowns, and then begins patting herself.] My phone, I thought I had...Where's my phone?

[Back at the house. On. To emergency services, which explains that ambulance driving by them.]

[She watches the ambulance shoot past them.] ...Well, to look on the bright side of a really lousy day, at least that's one awkward conversation we're missing?

Unless those things are still there when she gets home.

Actually I was thinking of trying to explain to Emergency Services how your daughter got shot and suddenly doesn't need any medical care.

[He blanches a little, remembering.]

[And she notices that. And it makes her feel a little guilty.] Um, about that...

They're trying to kill the Doctor. Think of everything that he's done. He's everywhere. Everywhen.

But what if I found the Doctor and I did kill him? What then? Am I still your daughter or am I just some knock-off with a new face?

You're my daughter. But honestly, I don't think that anything would matter if you killed the Doctor.

I don't know that the universe could survive that.

How is he that important? I mean, one minute he's this goofy, gangly bloke with weird fashion sense, and the next it's like he's god of the universe.

He saves people. It doesn't make him a god, but how long he's lived? He's important.
