love me some high school au
1. Post with your character with their name and series in the subject line.
2. Roll 1-19.
3. ???
4. Play out high school AU times.
1. first day
Catch up with old friends, brave new teachers, fight your way through the sea of students, and hope you're in the right classroom. Oh, you're the new kid. Well, that's okay as long as you've got more than enough summer vacation anecdotes to fill ten pages of Times New Roman size 12, single-spaced.
2. first period
You're gonna be late! Or are you already there? Class hasn't started just yet, so chat it up or copy your classmate's homework before the teacher gets here.
3. lesson proper
You're probably diligently taking notes, looking out the window daydreaming or reciting in class, much to your teacher's delight - or dismay. Try not to be too obvious when counting down the minutes and pass that note as discreetly as possible.
4. faculty
Have a bone to pick with your terror math teacher. A crush on the cute chemistry teacher? There might be something you want to ask your homeroom teacher about. In any case, you plan on seeing a faculty member today. Or maybe they plan on seeing you!
5. lunch break
Man, you are starving. Hopefully, today's menu has something good. If the crowded cafeteria's not your thing, try the rooftop.
6. hooky
One of you is skipping class. You should try talking them out of it if that's your thing.
7. detention
What on earth did you do to get this? Oh well. Detention can't be that bad when you've got all these very nice, approachable model students around to talk to.
8. p.e.
Baseball, basketball, dodgeball - no matter the sport, just remember: you are the star. It's you. At least, you hope it is.
9. home ec.
Sewing! Cooking! ... Try not to burn the school down!
10. lab work
Frog dissections! Explosions!
11. school fair/festival
Every school has one of these. What's your class doing this year?
12. theater
Oh boy, oh boy, being the star of this play is your dream. It isn't? Oh. You're still helping with the props and costumes, right?
13. library
If you need to look something up or just want some peace and quiet, this is the place. Whatever you do, shh, people are trying to read.
14. bully
Whether they take the form of Nelson Muntz or Regina George, if you choose to meet them at the gym at four o' clock or else, be ready to face the consequences... or maybe you don't have to. Not when someone's here to help you out. (This can go either way - one of the participants can be the bully or someone helping the victim.)
15. tutor
You're having trouble with a class or you're trying to make up for the days you were absent. It's a good thing someone was nice enough to offer their assistance.
16. clubs
Assuming that you actually have one. Are you writing for the school paper? Part of the student council? The marching band? Maybe you're a member of one of those weird occult clubs or something...
17. prom
Do you have a dress? A date? Who are you voting for prom king? Is being on prom committee is driving you crazy? Do you even care?
18. graduation
Well, it was fun while it lasted. It's time to say those last words, settle those scores and get ready to grow up.
19. roll again/make your own scenario

Jo Harvelle falls on the outskirts of the traditional freak label. She's not a conformist by any means, but she presents a tough enough shell and badass attitude that not many would brave actually calling her a freak to her face. Eddie's heard rumors about a father that died when she was young, about the bar her family runs, about the knife she seems to carry with her everywhere.
But when he sees her checking under her hood after school and looking royally pissed, he figures it's only common courtesy to help another freak out in need. He rolls up to her truck slowly, the tires crunching the gravel as it comes to a stop.] Hey, Harvelle. You need a ride?

She exhales, aggravated, and offers him a weary smile as she straightens up and drops a hand against her hip.]
Maybe. Not sure I'm givin' up on this quite yet, but it'll probably need to be moved before I can do anything about it.
[Which means a tow. She doesn't love the idea of paying for that— it'll cut into the tips she's saved up more than she'd like— but she'll be able to better solve whatever problem she's landed herself with if the car is back at the roadhouse rather than here in the school parking lot.]

first day!
He was not going to let that man ruin the chance at a good education. So what if his Legitamate half-brother and mulish cousin also went to school here? He hoped that he at least had a nice roommate. He was led to his new room by an older student, she looked rather serious and that was fine by him. He was serious as well.
He adjusted his broken eyeglass frames and stepped inside with his duct-taped suitcase and a trash bag full of his sparse belonging.
He looked over to the other side and nervously waved at his new roommate.
"Hello I'm Meng Yao. I will be your roommate this year."

He's been sprawled out on his bed since the moment classes ended for the day, needing some time to himself to recharge. He's also ignoring the pile of math homework and extra credit assignments his teacher had tried given him to try and pull his grade up. The arrival of a new roommate gives him even more of an excuse to continue ignoring it.
"Oh, hey! I heard you were coming here! I haven't had a roommate in forever... It's nice to meet you."
Of course, he knows who Meng Yao is. Everyone knows who Meng Yao is. The whole story with him and his father had made the local celebrity gossip pages and spread through the school like wildfire. It was the most interesting news to hit this school in a while so Nie Huaisang had gobbled up the scandal like it was candy.

prom things (Dammit Wei Wuxian)
And knocked lightly. He'd resolved not to ask where Wei Wuxian had gotten the clothing or the accessories and resisted the urge to fiddle with his hair. It felt odd having it down ,honestly, given he normally kept it bound, but Wei Wuxian had insisted.
"....Hey." When the door opens.

He's dressed in hanfu purchased for the occasion, preferring the traditional garment to a tuxedo. It'd taken him quite a lot of deliberation before finally choosing this outfit, wanting something fancy in colors he liked but not too fancy for what's ultimately just hanging out with a friend. It's not his usual color but he thinks it looks nice enough on him, at least.
He's a little confused to see Jiang Cheng instead of his expected date.
"Um, hello. Changed your mind about not going? You look nice."

home ec!
She sits on a stool at the counter, reading over the recipe and mentally adjusting the ingredients in her hand to make the disk truly a smashing success. The teacher gives them the blandest recipes to work with; she can't help but take initiative to spruce them up a little. It tends to work well for her. The teacher likes her as been down to give her bonus points for creativity on her grades.
"Are you ready to start?" she asks, turning to the underclassman she's working with today. She doesn't know him well but she's seen him hanging around her little brother before.

And he'd had gifts delivered to her house before the ceremony, flowers and some hair acessories Mianmian had helped him pick out. But after the actual graduation ceremony, he'd offered to drive her to the banquet. But he'd taken a detour to a park they both favored, pulling into the lot.

Home ec! Let's go! cw kids being assholes about sexworkers
It was a small connection he could have. Still, he ignored the jeers of his male classmates as he made his way into the large classroom. He set his things down and began to prepare his workstation, his face burning bright red as one boy implied that he must be as slutty as his whore mother while making lewd gestures at him.
It was best to ignore him. People were cruel and the visibility of his court case didn't help matters. Nor did the fame of his mother in the industry. His hands trembled and absentmindedly he spilled some boiling hot water on his hand.\
"Aish!" he cried out, startled, only to hear a chorus of laughter out the door.
