The Dating Meme

Dating is, when you think about, really weird. It's a totally different thing for different people. Some are friends for years before they date; others start dating on the same day they met. Sometimes, there's a lot mushy stuff involved; other times, the couple acts just like friends. None of this is necessarily right or wrong.

Whatever it is, your character and the character you reply to are now dating. How? That's up to you. Whether it be awkward or not, the relationship will be uniquely theirs.

[ this date starts with yi sang parrying hong lu's attack, neatly twirling his floral spear to deflect its momentum aside before he hops backwards and pulls out his fan, flourishing it and covering the bottom half of his face as he fans himself with it. ]

The purpose for this fight has already come and gone, so I have no interest in it any longer.

[ because the reason yi sang's here alone is to lure as many k corp staffers away from their real target, which the rest of the TLA are currently infiltrating, and to this repurposed l corp branch facility turned k corp experimental research site by making a good show of rampaging around in it. given how much time has passed, he is confident that his allies elsewhere have gotten the window of opportunity they needed, and he even managed to dispose of a solid number of k corp researchers and low-level excision staff.

it's just... ugh. why are you here, hm? just to get on his nerves? k corp really gotta send a third class staff for one guy? hmm?? ]

I don't suppose there's any chance that you'll peaceably stand aside.

[ with every parry comes a flourish of yellow petals, and the green haze that leaks from the twirl of hong lu's blade as he attempts to inflict some poison to a flower that's yet to fully blood. what he has to do is burn the skin, tear it with a swipe of his double-edged spear, and watch the skin explode into green slime, and watch the blood pop and splatter onto him. there's no time to look pretty yi sang, because hong lu wants to keep this up as much as he can. ]

Aah~ There's no need to go anywhere. It's me and you for now~

[ quickly, he angles the weapon towards yi sang's hips, wanting to force him to jump to the side so that he can quickly redirect the vibrant green towards the opposite side. a cheap trick, but one he wouldn't mind if it meant spreading yi sang's petals into the river where they can float and merge with the waves, and then maybe a petal will sink into the containment tube he's normally kept in. ]

Besides, you should know better that I can't! If I do that, then I won't be able to see you as much! Haha!

[ the double-bladed spear is certainly an annoyance to deal with, especially in the hands of somebody who knows what they're doing, but yi sang has seen these tricks before. instead of dodging, he brings his fan down, shattering through a nearby shelf of abandoned curios and letting the debris intercept the blow for him before he maneuvers out of the way again.

it's humiliating to run away and a bad idea to show his back either way, so he shall not be doing that. ]

Persistent men won't be liked by others.

[ and be gentle with his flowers, they're still in bloom. ]

Ah, but if you drop your weapon, perhaps I could be convinced to do the same.

[ there's no point in risking his life any further here. it's not a great deal for hong lu because if it comes down to it, yi sang can literally just rip a branch out of himself for a makeshift weapon... but yi sang will actually die if killed, unlike some scientific abominations here, so he wants to avoid escalating the fight if at all possible. ]

I don't wanna do that, do you want to take ampules together~

[ this is their time together, and he winds up disappointed once the debris blocks his way, causing him to jump back to avoid any damage unto himself. it was a smart move on his behalf, using it as a way to brace the attack and to place distance between them.

every step within his suit offers an echo of metal tapping against the floor, he keeps a lazy pace as he walks around the mess in the way with his smile widening to the point that they reach his eyes. his weapon remains tight within his hands, and the glow leaves an afterimage wherever he swings it, playfully writing yi sang's name as he waits. ]

But... if you want me to do this?

[ without a care, he's quick to drop it onto the ground while looking to yi sang. ]

[ gross, he does not want to take ampules together. ]

I'd rather be ill than partake in that filth.

[ ... hong lu's mind is an enigma to him, but not one that he wants to understand. yi sang paces around in opposite of hong lu's movements, keeping roughly the same distance between them until hong lu drops his weapon. then, in turn, he also tosses his spear aside... the fan stays, it's not a weapon (it is), he's using it to keep himself cool and drafty.

well, well, well. what's his next move? ]

... Shall we bargain over outcomes, then? Otherwise, we will remain at an impasse here.

If I let you go, who knows when they'll let me out again.

[ when can he ever see these blooms? in the winter when the color is not as vibrant, or maybe during the summer where the tips may be burnt but only a little. that's so much time he loses, and despite knowing that he stands to watch the petals that continue to grow upon the other, over his eye, and... this drakengard 3 moment i think. ]

[ he smiles, ] If it's separated from you, then they'll say I've done a good job.

[ can the other not grow like a tree? ]

[ HUH?? WHICH MOMENT IN DOD3 ARE WE TALKING ABOUT...????? ]

It won't grow back. Therefore, I shall not relinquish it, as I cannot replace it.

[ some of us aren't hooked up on regen fuel 24/7. how about hong lu cuts off HIS hand first? ]

If you let me leave without any other harm done to my person, then you can take a branch.

[ fortunately or unfortunately, those do grow back, although it may hurt to cut one off depending on where the cut is made... is dismembering part of a good date? because this is going places. ]

[ his hand settles against his chest, then over to the rube that's connected to his suit. inside that green liquid will be enough to help bring back any limb that the other loses, though he's unsure if it'll help with the branches. ]

I said that: help. Won't you let me do that for you just once?

[ but a bouquet of flowers sounds just as nice though he wouldn't know where to put them; they'd die in the tube he lives in. ]
