Cuddle Meme

CUDDLE MEME
what to do:
☆ post a comment with your character's name and fandom or preferences, if you have them.
★ use the magic RNG 1-12 to pick the cuddly scenario. or not.
☆ then cuddle it out!
cuddle choices:
① Sweet dreams It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.
② Stormy weather The heavy rain, thunder and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.
③ Lazy dancer It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.
④ Surprise attack Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.
⑤ Movie night It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.
⑥ I love you, man It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.
⑦ Jeepers creepers Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?
⑧ Hurt and comfort Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.
⑨ Sunday morning Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there’s just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart’s content.
⑩ Moment after You just had incredible, vigorous sex (playing out is totally optional) and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.
⑪ Ménage à trois Or four, or five. Get a group and cuddle away.
⑫ Player's choice Pick one or make up your own!

Zane { Mistborn Trilogy } OTA
idk
no subject
He never sleeps on his back. For one, it makes little rips in the sheets and the mattress that are very hard to explain or repair. For another, the way the spike catches never fails to wake him up. It feels like a piece of his spine is subtly grinding into something solid.
A scar on the mattress is probably a lost cause by now.
...possibly, so is his arm.
He stares at Arkin, curiously, and cautiously attempts to shift an inch or two. ]

He really can't stay here like this. Every shift of his body makes him feel the spike. It's deeply inconvenient.
He frowns, looks at Arkin, considers.
And then he executes a complicated maneuver, designed to restore comfort with minimal disturbance of the sleeping man. It actually involves going over Arkin, a smooth shift that is accomplished with a minimum of mattress shaking (Zane is very graceful). It twists Zane's arm in Arkin's grip, but doesn't try to pull it away.
And there, now he can pull Arkin back against his chest using that very arm. ]

This pillow is acceptable. It can stay.]

He touches his nose to the back of Arkin's neck and closes his eyes, settling down to get a bit more rest. ]

The Emperor is curled on a squashy couch near the open front door, the sound and smell of the rain unhindered by the screen, scribbling indecipherable code in a notebook. When Zane skulks by, he waves distractedly for Zane to join him, closing the notebook and marking his place with one dog-earred page.
"It never rained on the Diamond Palace. We'd forgotten exactly what it sounded like."
no subject
"People know what good rain sounds like. It's deeper than memory."
He stands, waiting for a cue, waiting for something to weigh his decision further on one side or another. Should he sit with the Emperor, discuss? Or at his feet, where those long, cool fingers can skim through his hair, and he can listen to the voice without distractions of sight and face? Benefits and drawbacks to both, so Zane waits for the Emperor to offer a positive or a negative, one way or another, to make his choice for him.
no subject
"It's a little different, on different planets. You could probably hear it better than we can, if every port didn't cleave so closely to Earth Prime."
no subject
Smoothly takes a seat, graceful as ever. He leaves a lot of space between them.
no subject
He thinks, not for the first time, how much he'd like to outfit Zane with synesthesia so that he could see the world through his senses. The Emperor imagines it's not so different from enhanced soldiers everywhere, but he'd still like to know. He reaches over idly, one cool hand cupped on the back of Zane's neck to tug him closer, pulling him to lean against the Emperor's side.
"On Ebran, the atmosphere was thicker than standard, relative to its gravity. The rush of the raindrops in the air was louder, compared to the sound of it actually hitting the ground."
no subject
(Like a cat, he must be coaxed.)
"Was it harder to breathe?" he asks. Ever the practical questions.
no subject
"It was for starsiders, if they didn't have the membranes in their lungs reinforced before disembarking. But if you weren't coughing up blood, it was actually easier - there was more than enough oxygen. We felt like we could never get quite enough air, our first few months in standard pressure."
He's slipped into the habit of talking about his childhood, these days. He hasn't done it in decades, centuries absolute. It's not something people want to hear from their God. But the constant business of the Empire is irrelevant here, and as Zane told him on their first meeting, he isn't Zane's god.
no subject
So he doesn't.
It is, somehow, a relief of pressure.
"I didn't know air has pressure," he says. It is an encouragement to keep speaking, but mostly it's a way for Zane to expand his understanding of the world around him.
no subject
His fingers slide up into Zane's hair briefly, then withdraw, and he rests his arm on the back of the couch.
"You don't feel it because barring extraordinary circumstances, the pressure is very nearly the same everywhere on the surface of a given planet. The particles in air all always moving a little bit, and they move more from high pressure to low pressure, which keeps them evenly spread out."
no subject
"They want to stay even," he says. He is listening.
And strongly considering sliding right into that space next to the Emperor.
no subject
"Precisely. Temperature affects it - heat is just energy, so the hotter air is, the more the particles move, which means they bump into each other more and take up more space, increasing the pressure, so warm air expands to equalize it. And then it's the same number of particles in more space, so it's lighter than the air around it and it rises, like oil in water. Air moving around in response to temperature changes is responsible for most weather."
Which brings them almost neatly back to the rain.
no subject
"Is wind lighter than still air?" he asks. Because of movement.
