[ It's a whole new level of a mess of shit he's been getting into since he started buddying around with Rufus in all this... well, all this shit. Half his time on the road, the other half loading shotguns and doing research- oh, there's a lot of research involved, and the difference in this and school is that he sees the point in bothering to do it. Everything he can find. Everything he can put in a bag and get back to the house to look over.

Even with Rufus assigning him over to the interview gruntwork that isn't gruntwork, Bobby, and I didn't bring your ass along to listen to you complain, which is fine because he's not the type of guy to stand around and do just that. Of course. If nothing else, he can admit that Rufus actually knows what he's doing and Bobby has every bit of no idea; and the best way to never not know again is to shut up and do as he's told and see if he can't keep Rufus from getting killed in the middle of something. Easy enough so far.

So he straightens his tie (jesus, a tie), gets his papers together, and gets to moving.
