[Lelouch had been busy - after all, even with help, the world doesn't rebuild itself and attain peace all on its own. So he had been scarce these past few days, the only people who had really seen him had been Nunnally, Suzaku and C.C. and only because Nunnally was his sister, Suzaku his Knight and C.C. found that the Emperor's credit card allowed her to buy far more pizza then the student's had.

Why she couldn't bother the actual palace cook, Lelouch would never understand. Apparently Pizza Hut didn't just support the rebellion, they supported peace too.

Who knew?

All three of them knew he was holed up in his office, working on something. So it would be here that someone looking for him would find him in an emergency. If they could get past those three. After all, he had left specific instructions not to be disturbed unless it was.

Of course, what could be considered an emergency would be dependent on the person.]

[Oh, damn it, there's that hangover. She was having a really good dream about cartoon golden geckos smacking each other with fish while an army of robots catered to her every whim. Being dragged back to head-rending reality from that is nothing short of crushing.

... Speaking of which.

The Courier - Anna - grimaces a little as she notes the other presence in the bed. Most of the other night is a blur, but a casual glance over her sleeping face at least brings the name to mind. Nina something. Nice enough girl, if a little out of place at a bar.

She remembers meeting the girl, talking for a bit, trying to take it easy on her. Then there was some alcohol, and maybe a little more alcohol, and then too much alcohol, and the rest is a blur. A warm, cuddly, sexy blur, but a blur nevertheless.

Unfortunately, as it now starts to set into the Courier's head, this event is probably the sort to be far more significant to the other, seemingly more reserved, girl. Oh, god, if she took her virginity...

Anna just covers her face with her hands for a moment, trying to blot out that possibility and suppress her hangover at the same time.

It wouldn't work. She's a courier. She moves around too much. Staying in one place for too long drives her stir crazy. It just wouldn't work.

11. Because if they were in a relationship Clint would be in trouble forever.

[ Foot in mouth syndrome was something Clint suffered from on a regular basis. He was very bad at keeping himself quiet and not expressing every little thought that ran through his head. Unfortunately for him Pepper had a hearing range that was out of this fucking world. She picked up on every little thing Clint muttered in a desperate attempt to maintain a certain level of control despite being wrong. Clint hated being wrong almost as much as he hated his arrows being out of order. That last bit was kind of silly, but these days he wanted them prepared. No more shooting the boomerang arrow only to find out it was knock out gas. There was only so many times you could knock yourself unconscious before Fury started to worry about your safety in the field. Anyways that wasn't the point. The point was that he had managed to stick his foot in his mouth again.

There was a silly fight. One that really wasn't supposed to happen, but Clint didn't exactly do anything to halt it. He opened his big mouth and kept going. It wasn't Pepper's doing at all. This hung on Clint and his big mouth all the way. It was probably a comment about Tony or something else entirely. Either way he stepped in it and he spent the next two nights paying for it on the couch alone. That wasn't a fun time at all. Especially when JARVIS kept asking him if he needed a goddamn extra blanket. It was like rubbing salt in the wounds.

Tonight was the third night of the storm and he was determined not to let it carry on. He was going to make up with her even if it took a hope and a prayer. He just wanted her not to be mad anymore. Which is probably why he was camped outside her bedroom door. He had a bouncy ball that he was currently throwing at the wall as he waited for her. ] Eventually you will have to let me sleep in there. Who else will you rub your icy feet all over? Also JARVIS is starting to talk. I think he's worried. We should fix this for him.
