[Watching movies together has become a common activity between John and Karkat, since they were both so enthusiastic about their movies. Some nights they would watch John's movies, and sometimes they'd watch Karkat's. Their first movie marathon had been a marathon of action movies, some of which Karkat enjoyed but others he found boring. This week, Karkat had every intention of showing John some of the best troll movies he had in his possession.]

[At least, that was the plan. But Karkat couldn't helo but frown at John whenever his phone buzzed. Really? Karkat had kept his phone off during John's movies.]

Are you actually going to watch the movie, or are you going to spend the whole night with your glance nuggets glued to your phone?

Glance-- wow, that's a gross one. And dude, Dave's just, y'know, being Dave. He can't help sending me a wall of text at least once an hour. He's basically got an Egbert addiction.

[John puts his phone away, only for it to buzz again a few seconds later. He pulls it out, smiling sheepishly.]

Okay, I'm sorry, I'll get him to shut up.

[...Eventually. Five minutes later he's still texting with the guy like there's no tomorrow.

[Karkat rolls his eyes and settles back down to turn back and watch the movie, but at the buzz, he's glaring back at John, a low growl in his throat.]

Oh my fucking god. Are you seriously texting him again? Is he physically incapable of not speaking? And you're not doing anything to help matters here, John. Dear sweet raging phlegm nodes, if you like talking with him that much go have a goddamn feelings jam.
