A Headcanon Meme

There's always more to your characters than you'll ever play out. So why not share a few of those facts, figures and back story that you've established?

How to:
1. Comment, with a list of head canon facts on your character. (Arbitrarily set at 10. More or less is fine.)
2. Rinse, repeat?
3. Questions from other muns are of course, welcome.

1. He carved Shepard's name on his eyepiece after the SR-1 was destroyed, like he would in the future for his murdered teammates.

2. He really likes it when Shepard wears heels, because he thinks it makes her look a little more turian. Joker gives him a lot of grief about his "shoe fetish".

3. The paragon romance with Shepard teaches him something he'd forgotten after his time on Omega. You don't have to be ruthless to deal with the bad guys.

4.He actually did bronze that gun from the top of the presidium. And he gave it to Shepard because he thought she'd get a laugh out of it.

1. He's a very active guardian, and does a lot to ensure Dave's readiness in going out into the world on his own. He might be a little odd about what he decides is important knowledge to have, but he teaches it as much and as often as possible.

2. He's got a fairly recognizable southern drawl, and he doesn't even care. It's a good, weird combo with his vernacular that has a lot of profanity in there.

3. He isn't half as ironic as Dave thinks he is. Half the shit that Dave assumes is played up for irony's sake is just him having no fucks to give when it comes to what people think. He fucking loves his horse show, dammit, and he doesn't even care who knows.

4. He interned one summer at a rodeo. As a clown.

1. Sherlock is fond of Nutella, especially Nutella with crisps.
2. He has been celibate by choice for at least seven years.
3. He is an agnostic; he can neither prove or disprove the existence of a divine being; he and Mycroft were raised Reform, with an exhaustive knowledge of myths.
4. He didn't speak fully until he was eight, though he is rather fluent in BSL. Mostly this was his choice rather than a learning disability. His first word was "murder."
5. Sherlock still likes pirate stories, though he'd never tell anyone that.
6. Sees his brother as someone who tries to manipulate him emotionally, which is a game he refuses to play.
7. Sherlock's father left the family when he was still very young, his mother died in his adolescence.
8. Both had a relatively normal (boring) childhood; though Mycroft preferred a secluded lifestyle while Sherlock was fond of playing outdoors.
9. Sherlock's conversation with Mike about a flatmate was a result of him being evicted from his other flat because of a science experiment.

I love 1, 3, and 9! I have similar headcanons in terms of 1, though I think he loves any paste-like edible substance in general, like peanut butter, hummus, etc.
improbably_true: (grin)

[personal profile] improbably_true 2013-04-21 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
I accept the hummus one, because I myself love hummus. XD

And thank you for your acceptance of 3 and 9 - I know they're a bit "unusual" although if I may ask what part of three was most appealing, it's a bit detailed?
noticing: (pic#5008674)

[personal profile] noticing 2013-04-21 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
I like the idea of him eating pastey things with protein/carbs in them mostly because things like hummus and peanut butter take so long to go bad, and you can just snack on them to keep up your energy without having to prepare anything/clean up anything/stop whatever else you're doing.... you know what I mean?

I don't know, I think 9 sounds very reasonable.

As for 3, I think this has been a commonly debated theme in terms of Sherlock Holmes stories since the 19th century? Because given Sherlock's drive to always indulge in intellectual things, people tend to write him off as an atheist without a second thought. It's like him being intellectual/logical = complete inability to accept there being a higher power, and I don't know if that correlation adds up for me. I much prefer him as an agnostic myself.

What's the detailed version of your headcanon on that, if you don't mind me asking? c:
improbably_true: (violin)

[personal profile] improbably_true 2013-04-21 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
I would think Sherlock would like a quick snack.
As for 9, I see it as some people think he was evicted/homeless at the time, but - he doesn't as "at risk" to me - I think Lestrade and Mycroft are keeping an eye on him, but he's (at least relatively at the start of ASIP), clean - but that's just my headcanon.

As for 3, Sherlock and Mycroft were raised Reform, likely there was more ceremony when both boys were younger. Ceremonies and attendance weren't so large of a thing after their father left, and their mother's illness (she was a bit of the driving force behind everything) disintegrated it completely. I think their parents were rather open-minded about beliefs, though Sherlock sort of swore off everything around his mother's death/university.
I put them as Reform mostly because of Sherlock's random knowledge of the Golem, and I couldn't see his mother being Conservative or the other sects.

Sherlock cannot prove by science that there is or is not a divine being, but he knows there are occasional 'forces' at work that cannot be explained - hence being somewhat of a cynic/agnostic. It's probably not something he prefers to have conversations about, and part of the reason why he is not keen on the study of the universe - and it does not affect his Work.

1. After returning from the 'dead' after a three year absence, he apologized to John, who was engaged to be married to Mary Morstan.

2. Mary was the only woman John had dated that he ever approved of. They were married, and even though John had not completely forgiven Sherlock yet, he still asked him to be his best man. He did so.

3. Sherlock moved back into 221B Baker Street while John and Mary lived in their own flat. Eventually, John went on cases with Sherlock again, and continued his blog. Sometimes, Mary accompanied them. The couple never had any children.

4. When Mary passed away some time later from cancer, John moved back in with Sherlock. Eventually, although they were no longer young men, they embarked on a more physical relationship. There had been an attraction between them for a while, but John had loved Mary and would never cheat on her. Sherlock had respected her, and would not come between them. Even though John had never been in a same sex relationship before, in his older years, he fell easily into one with Sherlock.

5. Sherlock has been predominantly homosexual most of his life, but he was also 'married to his work,' and he abstained for a very long time.

6. Sherlock and John are both retired and live together in a cottage in Sussex, where Sherlock keeps bees.

7. They have a dog named Gladstone.

8. Sherlock wears glasses around the house, but often refuses to wear them when they go out. John knows he is embarrassed, but doesn't tease him, and will often read the menu to him at restaurants.

9. Occasionally, they visit London, but no longer participate in any 'legwork' for cases. Sherlock will sometimes consult, but that is all.

10. Sherlock still conducts various experiments in the house, but there are no body parts in the fridge.

1. Dan can't trust anyone for fear of rejection.

2. He hates the Kardashians.

3. If the events of Camp Heinous never took place, Dan would have never gained an obsession with revenge. However, he would have also never gained a friend, resulting in a lonely, timid man.

4. He only blames kids for their actions if they are clearly, purposefully, doing it on purpose. Example: setting his car on fire.

5. He is hesitant to swear revenge on children due to his own traumatic youth.

6. A personal rule of his is to only attack the person responsible for his current misfortune. Don't blame their employees or mooks for an evil boss's actions.

7. If the employees/mooks clearly enjoy hurting him, ignore the previous head-canon.

8. He believes in equality. If you've hurt him, he cares not for race or gender. You will pay.

9. He also believes all stupid people should be moved out of the country, preferably to Canada. If that is not an option, he will accept Utah, Arkansas, or New Mexico. Arizona on weekdays.

1.) Constantly, he gets into fights that leave him worse for wear but he fights in his families honor everytime someone disrespects him or talks badly of his mother.

2.) When Loki was in Jr. High, he was constantly picked on and bullied; the kids at school would start overwhelming him, asking such unecessary questions such as why don't you have the same hair color as your parents and older brother. This of course brought the kids to comment about his mother, frigga, saying that she's a whore because why else had she chosen to conceive an odd one such as he? One day, the taunts became too much for him that he chose to die his hair blond. What he hadn't taken into account was how tricky dye can be; with his dark hair color, the blonde solution only made his hair turn orange. Oops. Thor had found a crying loki in the bathroom and though they never spoke of what happened even well throughout adulthood, the brothers shared unspoken words with just a glance.

3.) He is the second son of the prime minister of Norway and attends university with his brother; thor. They have many adventures together and more often times than not he worries over his brothers drinking habits. Yes, he knows its what comes with the college life but come on now loki likes the quiet without having to drag thor away in fear of him getting arrested or something.

4.) Spontaneously, loki has learned that he's homosexual. He didn't really know until he was in his junior year of highschool. Even now as an adult, he doesn't broadcast it, not even to his brother who he's very close to, they tell eachother everything but saying he has an attraction to the same gender .. loki can't bring himself to tell thor. In fear that his brother will cast him away. And if father knew, he would most likely disown him as a son and let thor take over asgard industries when the time comes. So loki is constantly at odds with himself and is afraid that one day his whole life will crumble to the ground and his family won't love him anymore. So it is easier for him to just pretend he's straight and that so long as he keeps his secret, nothing will change. Like the devil in sheeps clothing, loki hides behind a mask of heterosexuality.

5.) There are other headcanons I have such as playing pranks on his friends and enemies, shaving off your eyebrows when you've passed out from too much drink, etc, but there are just too many to play with and can't think of them all at the moment.

1. Veronica will never attack animals unless they're clearly dangerous.

2. She can speak multiple languages but not enough to really help most of the time.

3. During her alone time, while she was traveling through the states to get back home, she was hunted by the army but managed to evade them.

4. She's died at least three times. She can't remember how though.

5. There was a previous bodyguard to the professor that she had to defeat before becoming the new bodyguard.

6. She's never actually seen Frankenstein so she doesn't understand why people say that she reminds them of the monster. Though, the professor did call her 'Little Frankenstein'.

7. As a biological super weapon she has to keep most of her powers secret so no one freaks out more than they do.

8. When she was brand new most of her injuries were self-inflicted, once she almost killed herself by scratching with her poison tipped nails.

9. She traveled all over the world alone, having multiple adventures, before finally arriving home again.

10. While nowhere near her sister's skills, Veronica is skilled in basic medical care.

Heavy damage to her body can result in memory loss. The first two times she died the professor fixed her but didn't tell her what happened to avoid trauma of any sort. The third time was with Gavril, she doesn't remember what happens to her but understands pretty quickly.

Yes, first aid.

And yes, she is in a way gay for Fran. Not even she fully understands it though.

2. When her father, a clerk, died, she managed to get a job at a shoe factory to support her family. She was soon known for her skill at stitching and embroidery.
3. All her relationships before Grantaire never went beyond mere flirts because she was scared she would get pregnant and fired.
4. But then she met the Grand R and (despite him being him) she fell in love.
5. They were together for several months (and it did get physical this time), but she left when things got too heated, turbulent, (your choice of word to describe the situation)
6. The words "Grantaire is impossible" weren't only to describe his looks. (Plz Mr Hugo, she's not that shallow).
7. Still, there's a part of her that still loves him. And it hurts.
8. During the Barricades she stayed at home with her siblings and mother, making sure everyone was safe and her younger brothers did not join the Barricades.
9. She did cry when the news of the fall of the last barricade and the deaths of the students reached her.
10. She hasn't married yet. Probably never will, she likes the freedom.

1. Lauren was only brought into this world because her mother needed a way to cement Lauren's father to her side forever.

2. She originally refused to join the Covenant, despite her mother's insistence. It was only after she wasn't able to become a CIA field agent that she joined the Covenant.

3. Until Sydney Bristow came into the picture, Lauren did truly care for Michael's well being. While she didn't love him, she did care deeply for him.

4. A part of her really did love Sark. He was everything she'd always wanted in a man and he made her feel alive.

5. Lauren has a huge fear of being unloved. This was why she was so attached to her father and she didn't want to kill him. He was the only person who had ever truly loved her. Her mother didn't love her, the men that she slept with didn't love her, Michael didn't love her. The only two people who really loved her was Sark and her father.

6. Her main role in the Covenant before her marriage to Michael was that of seductress.

7. She originally never wanted to join the Covenant, nor did she really believe in Rambaldi's work. It was only after being emotionally abandoned by Michael that she took to the ways of the Covenant and to the work of Rambaldi.

8. Lauren really did try to get along with Sydney and she knows that, under vastly different circumstances, the two of them could have been friends.

Regulus Black || Harry Potter || Some of the headcanons can be a bit triggery

[personal profile] theheartofleo 2013-04-20 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Regulus meant to die in the cave as a form of suicide. It wasn't the first time he had thoughts of it either.

2. He's as mentally stable as most of his family (meaning not at all) but his insanity tends to hurt himself more than anyone else.

3. He has a bit of a inferiority complex, is convinced that his parents's abusive nature is meant to 'fix' them, tends to be dependent on loved ones, and has trust/abandonment issues (especially concerning Sirius). When older, he can be very promiscuous and affection starved.

4. He blames himself for anything bad that happens regardless of if it had anything to with him or not (e.g. Sirius running away) and will think if he had done something/been better, the outcome would have been different.

5. He's not as smart or as powerful as Sirius and struggled in a few of his classes at Hogwarts (Potions and Transfiguration mainly). But he's a natural flyer, brilliant at Charms, and if he had ever had a chance, he'd have excelled at Magical Beasts (but Mother said such a class was beneath wizards of their stature.)

6. He has trouble sleeping by himself a lot of the time and, when younger, would try and sneak into Sirius's bed with him if he could/was allowed. Even when he got older, he preferred to sleep with someone else rather than be alone.

7. The first (and possibly only) person he ever fell in love with was Barty Crouch jr. Narcissa is the only girl he ever had a crush on and would still do most anything to make sure she's happy.

8. He hates being compared to Sirius because he always seems to fall short - he's constantly told he's not as talented, smart, or handsome as his brother was. The constant comparisons got worse after Sirius left because of the expectation to not only replace Sirius but to be better than him.

9. He had a half kneazle named Samson. He was big, fluffy, and gray and always watched Sirius closely.

10. Regulus is very fond of the strange black dog he meets on the Hogwart's grounds sometimes and will feed it if he has any food on hand.

2. He has Welsh heritage from his mom's side of the family. He grew up hearing stories from the Mabinogion, as well as other more common fairy tales.

3. He and Scott met in grade two - they were supposed to be spelling words with wood blocks, building castles was better. Worth the trouble they got into for hogging all the blocks.

4. He would pick up stray animals as a child. Not cats and dogs - Scott usually ended up with those, but frogs and one time, a garden snake.

5. He was pet sitting the boa for a neighbor.

6. His mom was the one who used to cut his hair.

8. He knows his way around a gun. It's not a skill he advertises and his dad had long since taught him to respect the weapon. It's not a toy, it's not something to brag about.

9. He can pick his way out of cuffs, but not any other locks.

10. There's a scar along his left forearm from wiping out on his bike.
inheritstheredsouls: (Captain AkaRed of the Akaki Pirates)

AkaRed - Boukenger Vs Super Sentai/Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger - OTA

[personal profile] inheritstheredsouls 2013-04-21 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
1) There are seven other Super Sentai Spirits besides AkaRed: AoBlue, male; KiYellow, hermaphrodite; MidoGreen, male; MomoPink, female; KuroBlack, male; ShiroWhite, female; and NijiRainbow, female. AkaRed was team leader, KuroBlack was Team Dad, and ShiroWhite was Team Mom.

2) AkaRed is bisexual, but he's only been in such relationships with his teammates. He was also MidoGreen's and KiYellow's favorite guinea pig for their bedroom experiments, due to being one of the more reserved team members about such things.

3) When a Super Sentai Spirit "dies", they actually lose the ability the retain a physical body until they've gained enough power back to reform their body. Said body then explodes with the sudden release of uncontrolled power, leaving behind only a few handfuls of ash. Normally, it doesn't take long for a Sentai Spirit to reform their physical bodies, since there has always been Super Sentai in some way and form. However, due to the events of the Legendary War and the resulting scattering of the Ranger Keys, AkaRed was not able to reform his physical body until the end of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. Until then, he was stuck as a spirit that could not be seen or heard by any living being, and he was also stuck on the Galleon until its new crew, the Gokaigers, arrived on Earth.

4) Sometime before the events of Boukenger Vs. Super Sentai, a terrible event caused AkaRed's teammates to "die". However, when they did, their spirits ended up being sealed into their own Ranger Keys. No matter what AkaRed did at the time, they couldn't be freed, and they were even unresponsive. This led him to think that they were truly dead and, out of grief, he blamed himself for not stopping such events from happening. He ended up placing all seven Sentai Spirits' Ranger Keys into a cushioned box, and sealing the box away in a location that is still unknown to this day. There is a way to unseal them from their Ranger Keys, but it has not yet been discovered.

5) AkaRed had tried living a normal life once after his teammates had died. However, anyone that saw his face kept dying or being sent to the hospital due to serious injuries. This led him to think that he is cursed, and he has since swore to never take off any part of his Sentai Suit around anyone ever again. He's going to need someone to smack him out of it one day...

6) AkaRed is his Ranger title; his real name is Akaki. And without his helmet, his eyes are blood red and his hair is black; said hair is in a 70s style that hasn't changed over the years. His regular clothes are also retro, all 70s shirts and bell bottoms. If certain Sentai warriors ever find out, he'll never hear the end of it...

7) During their Akaki Pirates days, AkaRed has told Marvelous and Basco - more than once - that while he doesn't mind them being in a relationship, he has requested them to at least keep the noise level down at night. The one time they didn't immediately comply, he gave them double the work load...but didn't explain why.

8) Basco was not lying about one thing: AkaRed really wasn't after the Ultimate Treasure in the Universe; he was just collecting the Rangers Keys so that he could go back to Earth and hand them back to the previous Super Sentai warriors. Such a plan was because AkaRed knew that Earth still needed Super Sentai to protect it. However, that plan went out the window when the Gokaiger keys were found - and especially after the GokaiRed Ranger Key reacted to Marvelous when he first picked it up.

9) AkaRed will never forgive Basco for all the harm and destruction that he's done, and part of him is relieved that Marvelous killed him. At the same time, though, another part of him still grieves for Basco, knowing that his former crew mate once held the potential to become a Gokaiger himself.

10) When AkaRed first met Navi, the robotic bird had predicted the possibility of AkaRed's "death". This had led him to create a will. It was sound enough to stand in any galactic court, and it essentially stated that if he ever died, everything under his name, including the Galleon, would go to any remaining crew members aboard the ship. This means that, legally, Marvelous and Navi now co-own the Galleon.

(( ooc- some of these headcanons can be kind of triggery! ))

1. Because Ryan couldn't find comfort in any of his family members when he was upset, he turned to a specific teddy bear he got when he was a baby. When his parents were fighting or he was going through a tough time, he'd keep the teddy bear close and find an escape. But when Wilfred got Bear, he found a few things to be a little too similar to his old teddy bear, and that's one of the reasons why Bear makes him so uncomfortable. Not just because Wilfred humps it a lot.

2. To avoid causing problems between his mother and father, Ryan would lock himself in his room as a child and not come out unless he really had to. This is one of the reasons why he isolates himself now.

3. Aladdin was his favorite movie when Ryan was younger. After he moved into his own house, he found the old casette and watched it again for the first time in years. While he had been inspired by Aladdin's change and attitude when he was younger, watching it again made Ryan feel more depressed, since a movie character would have it better than he would. It's also where he got the quote 'diamond in the rough' for his third suicide note.

4. Ryan used to take his bad feelings out on...video games. But when someone he had been playing against asked what a lawyer was doing playing an Xbox in the middle of the day, he quite playing online games altogether.

5. When he was in Stanford, Ryan attempted to kill himself. One night out of the blue, he wrote a short note and took a good amount of cheap sleeping pills. But he didn't take enough, and woke up a day or so later. The next time he tried to kill himself, Ryan made sure that he planned everything well ahead of time and took a bunch of prescribed medications, to make sure that things would actually work the way they were supposed to.

R || Warm Bodies (zombie stuff in here)

[personal profile] shambler 2013-04-21 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
1). The 1812 Overture is one of the very first songs R tried to play before he learned about silly things like volume control (if a little's good, a lot's better, right?). Predictably he blew out his speakers. R never played it again.

2). R's had thoughts about trying to change out of his clothes, probably out of some unspoken antsy need to change, even if it's baby steps. Then he realized he probably doesn't have the coordination for it. He can't tie or untie shoes.

3). [Book] The woman he died next to is probably a girlfriend or fiancee. He probably shot her himself and there was only one bullet to go around - hence why he died of the leg bite and reanimates, while she didn't.

4). [Movie] R has tried to take M driving in the Mercedes (they did make it out the parking lot). M might retain more knowledge about driving, hence why he was able to drive in the airport. R was duly impressed.

5) R has been in feeding frenzies with other zombies. He probably got smacked in the face by a flying organ: he didn't take it personally.

6). [Book] He reunited with his zombie ex-wife and kids post-canon. It was a little awkward but could've been worse. They promised to keep in touch. R played tag with the kids. The wife might've remembered her name but kept it to herself. She also ended up staying with the Dead man she left R for; he recovered from corpsehood earlier than she did.

7). R was very picky about which plane he took over to make his hoarding castle and he insisted on taking M with him. M groaned and bitched after the first couple.

8). R and M have probably had several physical fights, but since they're zombies, it's fairly easy to make up. There might've been pushing, shoving and biting involved. They're still best bros though (not to mention they've probably forgotten, like, 90% of them being zombies).

9). R retained his habit of hoarding even after meeting Julie and recovering more of his humanity. Julie tends to humor him while Nora looks on. Most of it is junk but he is starting to veer toward stuff that isn't a Coke can or a blinged out dog leash.

10). [Movie] Since General Grigio survived in the movie, he probably was initially cool to R but started opening up more once it was clear the Dead were changing for long-term. (He may still be cautious around him, under the assumption he could always turn back to a zombie). He may have let him sit in very rarely on briefings, but mostly because Julie asked if he could.

Clare Edwards | Degrassi

1. After Darcy tried to kill herself, no one wanted to explain anything to Clare about what happened. The months afterward were very awkward, because she wanted to help her sister but was scared of making things worse.

2. Even though we didn't see it, Clare was really messed up after Eli crashed the hearse, hence the whole freaking out "DID YOU LOVE ME AT ALL" speech. Which is a bit more canon than headcanon, really, but.

3. She had nightmares about Asher trapping her in the car and bruises on her arm from him grabbing her that she kept covered up so she wouldn't have to look at.

4. While admittedly it was a better plan than breaking into the offices, Clare still considered dumping Eli for involving the school against her wishes. Especially considering how much else was out of her control at that point.

5. If the other intern hadn't stepped up, she really was just going to start blaming herself and head into a spiral of anger, self-hatred, and depression.

6. Part of the reason she freaked out and started being over-controlling with Eli was because she was desperately trying to cope with both the case against Asher and finding Cameron's body.

I actually don't think she was told on purpose. Because she was so young and her family kept her so sheltered. But eventually, she kind of just cracked from not knowing, so Darcy explained what actually happened with the suicide attempt. And she found out about the rape sort of by accident by overhearing or reading something, then looked it up. It would have been a lot for her to handle, and it freaked her out pretty bad. Probably part of the reason she insisted on wearing her uniform at first was a hopeless defense against being attractive to boys/history repeating itself, which fell away as she grew and met Alli and K.C.

1. Cam's asexual or gray-asexual. That's one of the reasons why he never really took initiative with Maya, because he doesn't have a sex drive. He finds her attractive and cute, but actual sex? It does nothing for him.

2. On that note, I think he might be questioning in terms of sexuality? Potentially bi or pan, which is one of the reasons why he's so utterly nervous about the hockey team calling him gay.

3. His brother Justin's two years older than him, and he's always been...not quite jealous? But envious of Cam's natural talent. They used to play together all the time, and when Cam's talent was discovered, Justin was the one who encouraged him to join teams and do more professional training. Cam was really sad, when he didn't have time to practice with Justin anymore.

4. Usually, Cam's dad is more distant than his mom. I've got some thoughts that there's a history of people in his family being neuroatypical, though they've never really figured it out or talked about it, so his dad's probably anxious, but he just...deals with it. No one in this family's real educated on mental health.

5. His younger sister (I call her Lily) is just as much of a sports person as Cam, and when she was younger she'd always do anything she could to blackmail Cam and Justin to let her play with them. She's a devious little girl.

6. Because his dad's allergic to fur, Cam's never had a pet before. Well, besides fish that lived about two weeks when he was seven. They gave them a funeral in the bathroom.

7. Cam loooves winter. Loves it. Favorite season. He doesn't care about the cold, he loves snowball fights and igloos and hot chocolate and it helps that his birthday's in December. Just, snow. He adores snow. It's contrary to some people with depression, actually, the winter months aren't his bad period.

8. He cannot cook. At all. Except for microwaving mac n' cheese or pouring cereal or making ramen (only in a microwave). He once tried to make pasta and boiled the water over the pot. He and Justin wrapped hot dogs in bacon and nearly blew up the microwave when they were kids. Cam's accepted his fate, he cannot cook.

9. No one really realized his drowning his sorrows in ice cream is a self-destructive habit? They just thought he liked how it tastes and it's a bad habit, since he's always liked ice cream and the lactose-intolerance didn't develop to the levels it's at until he got older. So though his parents know he does it, they don't realize it's because of the reasons it is.

10. He likes all kinds of music. All kinds. Everything. Music is great.

11. He's not actually that bad at French when he doesn't have to speak in front of people or do it for a grade!

Awwww Cam. ♥ He's so cute. Was his depression triggered by the stress of being away from home/being a star player, or did it start before that? Did he like hockey before the pressure piled on?

WORST DEPRESSING QUESTION but out of curiosity, what was your impression of what method he used for suicide? :|a

Always been! Like, it's never been that pronounced because his life back in Kapuskasing wasn't as stressful? But he's always had anxious/nervous tendencies, and he's really prone to blaming himself for. Everything. A lot. And getting down on himself. This just triggered it worse, so even if he did go back home, if he didn't have proper help then he wouldn't have automatically gotten better.

And he loved hockey before! He had to, he chose it over basketball, which he also loved. It's just so tied up with anxiety and sad things now. :(

Hahahaha jeez. Mostly 'cause of Eli's reaction to the paint, I think it was by one of his skates, probably if he could both arms? Because he wanted it to be over faster and it wasn't working fast enough and he panicked.

Also he kept Hoot in his backpack so he wouldn't get any blood on him, but he kept his backpack really close.

And also Tiago. I mean, same person, after all. Also rambling. Also come at me with other things you might want to know?

1. Born in an English hospital, raised in Portugal (what he considers his country of origin).

2. He's got three sisters, one older and two younger. He was very protective of them, and there may have been some childhood bloodshed whenever any of them got picked on/hurt by any of the neighborhood boys.

3. His biological father was an Englishman (hence 1), same with the older sister, but his other sisters had different fathers. And thaaat's because his mother was married to this guy, but sometime when Tiago was very, very young, they divorced, he swanned off. Had various boyfriends, but none of them really stuck around. So he had primarily women he was raised around all his life, but no father figure to speak of.

4. His mother eventually died as a kid (for the sake of thematic irony, probably somewhere near James' age when he lost his parents). Very mundane. Car accident. That left four kids to get picked up by their grandmother, a wealthy, deeply Catholic woman living it up after her rich husband's death. (Didn't help with his mother's financial woes mostly due to her faith--divorces and sleeping around and kids out of wedlock? Oof.) The 'how do you get rats off an island' story is completely true.

5. He always had an affinity for technology and computers. He didn't know what he was going to do with his life during university (in England), but he'd done some hacking and gotten the attention of MI6.

6. He was present for M's wedding. And regrets not having been able to go to her husband's funeral.

7. Bisexual. Very very bisexual. Nowadays he mostly uses sex for intimidation and control, but back in his agent days, he used it much like James--fun and information. He was careful when he needed to be, but he was always very open about it when he could afford it. There was plenty of awkward experimenting under his grandmother's nose, and not everyone who's known in his life has taken kindly to it.

8. He's never had any pets, or owned any animals of any kind. It's just never been something he's thought about, and if he were to ever have some animal dropped into his life, he...wouldn't know what the fuck to do with it. (That said, can you see him in a shelter and falling for the most pathetic, abused, abandoned dog in the place?)
