THE CRIMINAL AU MEME

HOW TO PLAY:

THE ROLE.
1) Criminal. (The one who committed the act.)
2) Law enforcement. (Cop, FBI, prison guard.)
3) Witness. (What did you see?)
4) Victim. (Probably not applicable in the case of murder. … Probably.)
5) Lawyer, judge, or paralegal. (Participant in the legal system.)
6) Private security. (Unaffiliated, but with an interest in keeping your client safe. Or in getting your target caught.)
7) Other. (Let your imagination go wild.)

THE CRIME.
1) ROBBERY. The crime of stealing via force or threat or fear.
You need the money. You're desperate. You have the gun, the convenience store is right there, and everything will be better once you've finished the job.

Or maybe you've been hired. Provide a little intimidation, and someone else will take care of all your problems.

Or it's a thrill. Rolling across the country, robbing banks as you go. A Bonnie & Clyde crime spree, and it can only end one way.

2) BURGLARY. Illegal entry into a building for the purposes of committing theft.
Non-violence, for you; you're just going to break in, take this one thing. Maybe a television, to sell for the cash. Maybe some jewelry, a computer.

Or maybe you're a master thief, dangling from a wire into a museum. Sliding through the air ducts of a skyscraper in search of a particular little item.

3) GRAND THEFT AUTO. The criminal act of stealing a motor vehicle.
You know your cars. And you can steal one in under 60 seconds. Better hope you don't get tripped up with one of those newfangled security systems.

4) MURDER. The act of killing another.
He had to die. He had to, and the guilt of knowing where you buried the body, of knowing that the police are coming after you -- it's starting to wear down your sanity.

5) SERIAL MURDER. A crime involving the killing of three or more people over a period of more than a month.
You have a drive to kill. Again, and again. Nothing satisfies it, nothing stops it. Maybe you hate yourself. Maybe you hate the human scum who only exist to go under your knife.

Or maybe you're a professional hit man. You've killed dozens, you know how it goes. It's just business.

6) CONSPIRACY. An agreement between two or more persons to break the law at some time in the future.
Mafia, Yakuza, crime families who keep their operations quiet under pain of death, dishonor, betrayal of the family. You're part of one of these operations, whether as a patriarch or a peon.

7) FRAUD. Intentional deception made for personal gain.
Blackmail. Cover-ups. Insider trading -- the marks of corporate crime. Perhaps you're a CEO who thinks they can do whatever they want. Perhaps your business is on the rocks and you just need a little time to make your golden parachute before you ditch it.

Or maybe you meant to destroy it. Maybe you're a professional con man, and you're stepping away from your latest conquest with plenty of cash in hand.

8) KIDNAPPING. The false imprisonment of another person against their will.
Do you do it for the ransom? For the money? For revenge?

Or is it a hostage situation, with dozens of prisoners, for some sort of political gain?

9) TERRORISM. The systematic use of terror, especially as a means of coercion.
For a religion, for a philosophy. But -- are you a terrorist, or are you a freedom fighter? It might just be a matter of point of view.

10) WILD CARD. For any crime not mentioned above.

"If you think you could make me do anything I didn't want to," he laughs, "you're a far more deluded man than I gave you credit for."

"Convincing someone to do something isn't about making them do anything." Blackmail and extortion are all about leverage. Whatever this thing is with Blake, it's the legal version of it.

"It's about making them want to do it," he finishes quietly; it's a lesson Selina taught him ages ago. John leans in and kisses Bruce Wayne.

His reflexes are fast enough that the hesitation, the surprise, is going to be near impossible to catch. Because then he has two hands on John, flipping him onto his back on the desk.

"And you're trying to make me want to take you over my knee?" He answers, but so close that every other word has his lips caressing John's.

John groans, half in surprise, half in want, and he rolls his hips, tugs Bruce closer with a leg. "Is it working?"

"I wouldn't go easy on you. It wouldn't be fun." He growls, certain that there's no chance John would be into the things he could do to him. A playful spanking? Bruce can't imagine it being fun for someone on the receiving end. Not someone who fascinates and infuriates him the way John does.

He laughs, giggles really, and digs his fingers into Bruce's shoulders. "A punishment, is it?" John hums dreamily. "For the big bad thief?"

"You should be glad we're not in Singapore." He can't help brushing his lips against John's, back and forth, slowly. "I was a 'thief' there once."

He shivers, arching up, trying to get a proper kiss. "What do they do to thieves in Singapore?"

[lasiurus]

"Caning." And he gives him the kiss then, so John won't be able to respond right away.

John whimpers into the kiss, his hands sliding down Bruce's sides to his hips.

And though Bruce Wayne is a fantastic kisser, John still tries to keep his head enough to slip a few fingers into his pocket. Maybe lift an ID card, if not his entire wallet. It's not that he actually expects to succeed (though if he does, that'd be fantastic). It's mostly the principle of the thing.

He almost considers letting him get away with it, to see what he'd do. But he's feeling rough, and he doesn't have any need to keep his Bruce Wayne persona going.

So he grabs John's wrist, and twists to bend him over the chair, arm wrenched behind his back.

"Does that mean you like being caned, John?"

He shivers, testing the hold and finds it strong, unbreakable. And while it doesn't hurt him now, like this, if he pushes too hard, he risks wrenching his shoulder out of socket. Subsiding, John deliberately arches his back, pushes his hips back against Wayne's. "I guess you'll just have to see, won't you?"

He adjusts the hold so he can keep it with one hand. The other slaps against John's ass, hard, leaving Bruce's hand stinging. It's not like he has a cane on hand, so he's testing before he improvises.

He yelps, trying to twist away from the burn in his ass. He didn't expect Wayne to actually spank him. Though he's still hard, still held tight in his grasp and fuck, that's. That's kind of hot, actually.

Bruce looks at him, his expression perfectly blank.

If John protests he won't push the matter (but he hasn't decided if he ought to take John to prison instead of spending so much effort...there's just something about him that doesn't feel criminal. Not to the extent of the men and women Bruce has locked up before.)

"Well?"

John wriggles in place, tugging at Bruce's hold on him. When that doesn't give, though, he just shoots him a glare. "Well nothing."

"That's not a 'stop'."

He points out, and slaps his ass again, and then again on the other cheek to even it out.

He surges forward with the force of the blow and a snapped out "Fuck!" He pulls at Bruce's hold again, fruitlessly, and can't quite help the ridiculous way he's shaking his ass, trying to get the burn to dissipate a bit. "Are you crazy?"

It's still not a 'stop' or a 'no.'

"What do you think?" Bruce answers, husky and dark, as he manhandles John into a better position and punches just under where he's been slapping. A good mix of stinging and thudding will keep them going longer--but it will also lead to bleeding.

It hurts, far more than it should have, but his blood is at the surface and this is going to bruise and he might not be able to work for a couple days so he really should stop it now. Except he's so hard it aches and fuck, this isn't what he expected at all but it's--it's not bad. Not at all.

Bruce really delves into it, each strike eerily precise in where it lands and how hard it is. He only pauses to ask one question: "If I let go and move, will you stay here?"

"Yeah, right," John says, and it's laced with heavy sarcasm. But he would, he knows. It'd take a moment for him to catch his breath, but even then... He's not sure he'd want to leave. The sheer power Wayne commands is absolutely intoxicating, and he knows how precise his control is. There's no way he'd accidentally go too far and permanently injure John.

"Then I'll have to be fast." Fast enough to catch him if he tries to run. He's sure they both know he is.

He lets go, just long enough to reach into his desk for the first thing he can grab: a metal ruler. He holds it in one hand, and uses the other to pull the end back and let it snap against John's skin.

He hadn't moved before there's a burn against his skin, cold and hot and what the hell just happened? A glance back reveals a metal ruler and John feels the first frisson of fear skate down his back. That could do some actual damage.
