BIRTHDAY MEME

It's that time of year again.

• Post with your character. Today is your birthday (or not).
• Someone else will respond. Using RNG to roll a number between 1 and 8, they will act accordingly.

1. Surprise party

They didn't seem to have anything planned (or maybe they had something else planned) so you decided to make plans for them today.

2. Presents

You are giving the birthday boy/girl their present. It better be something they like or else.

One, two, three, four. . . and one more for next year too!

4. Wrong birthday

It looks like you're wishing the wrong person happy birthday.

5. Late birthday

You're here to wish them a happy birthday. . . a day or two (or three) after their birthday has already passed.

6. What birthday?

You just wanted to hang out with your friend today. They don't have to know you didn't know it was their birthday.

7. Stripper birthday cake

This can't possibly go wrong. You are in position and ready to jump out at any minute.

[Oh, she forgot. She definitely forgot. Gosh darn it and she was so good at remembering those kinds of things. She does have a gift for him however.]

[The forgetfulness is not all that damaging to Walter. A butler after all is the sort of type to blend into the background until you need them.]

[Blending into the background? Oh pish-posh. Sharon has always been kind to her servants. Well, except when they tease her and what not because then they get hit with the paper fan of doom.]

I have something for you.

[And she presents him with a package that is all nicely wrapped with blue paper and a light green ribbon. Inside is a silver cigarette case with his initials on it and a matching lighter. She doesn't like it that he smokes! But she couldn't think of anything else.]

[It beats being swarmed by ghouls. A lot beats that, but that is not the point here. Surprise takes his face and his gloved hands take the wrapped gift with careful handling.]

You really didn't have to Miss.

[His accent drags his words slowly and his lips come to smile, a shy one as if one had forgotten how to. He is slow to open it, undoing the bow and unwrapping instead of tearing.]

I 'ought you hated me smoking?

[The metal case is looked over, his thumb brushing along the engraving and eyes going over the small details.]
