TELL A STORY IN SIX WORDS
1. Post your top level with a six word story prompt. Making up your own is fine as well.
2. Other people respond, write a starter, get a thread going somehow.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Original meme from here.

[ Should she try to watch it? She looks down at the VHS she's rented dozens of times before like she's considering putting it back so she can go hunt down something else. Maybe it would be a good idea to watch some of the things Eddie likes so that just in case their conversations ever drift towards cinema, she's able to keep up with him.
But just the thought of watching something gross or scary (or worse, boring) in her living room makes her stomach turn. She doesn't want to put up with her brother or her mom asking her what she's doing watching something like that, so she shakes her head and puts that thought away. ]
They're fun! They all have these silly names and stay in character the whole time. Lucas Sinclair's little sister's character's name is Lady Applejack. Like the cereal. It's adorable. She's fierce, for a middle-schooler. Even Eddie thinks so. [ Honestly, the most adorable part of watching Hellfire meetings is seeing Eddie lord over his little domain, the way he treats all the misfits in his club, the way they all look up to him. ] Ugh, yeah, I definitely agree with you on that one, though.

[ Steve groans, shaking his head. ] You mean they roped Erica in? Man, I thought she at least had a chance of being cool. [ Though, that name is pretty adorable and wholesome for Erica. He laughs, shaking his head.]
Fierce isn’t even begin to describe it. Erica is downright scary when she wants to be.
[ He moves back towards her after straightening the tapes, reaching out for the Breakfast Club to scan it. ] So, what’s going on with you two, anyway?

It's not really surprising, though. Steve's cute, and he used to be incredibly popular, and she can see why a girl would agree to go on a date with him to watch a movie she didn't care about so they could make out in the theater the whole time. She might not necessarily agree to go do something like that with Steve but... ] Oh, okay.
[ She narrows her eyes at him. ] You know Little Sinclair, too? Steve. I hate to break it to you, but you're definitely part of the nerd cult. Like, way more a part of it than I am. [ Chrissy only goes as a spectator, and only because Eddie basically tricked her into showing up the first time. Now she's secretly invested in the story line, and she wants to find out what happens next. But she doesn't go around hanging out with the members of Hellfire on her own time, not like Steve apparently does. ]
There's nothing going on between us. [ Maybe she should have said between who? But it's pretty obvious who he means. ] Me and Eddie are just friends.

[ He actually has no explainable reason for why he knows all these little nerds and therefore can't exactly contradict her, but he refuses to be lumped into the nerd moniker. ] I'm nerd adjacent. Near them, but not of them.
[ He raises an eyebrow.]
Good friends?

[ It's cute, actually. Just like how Eddie lording over his domain is cute, the thought of Steve acting as glorified chauffeur to a bunch of middle-schoolers, now freshmen, is adorable. If she thinks about it, she thinks she can see why it happened, since Nancy Wheeler's little brother is part of the D&D club, and Steve and Nancy used to be an item, so if Steve was driving Nancy places he probably had to drive Little Wheeler as well, and then that probably snowballed into him driving all of Little Wheeler's friends around too.
It's still an adorable image. ] Whatever helps you sleep at night.
[ Do not look at her blush, Steve. Don't do it. ] Regular friends. I've been helping him with his chemistry homework to make sure he graduates.

At the end of the day, though, he knows in some ways he needs them more than they need him. He tries to protect him, but they've actually saved him from being the clueless asshole he might have been before all of this. And it's the thought that maybe he's better because of it that helps him sleep.
Steve sighs and shakes his head. ]
I hate chemistry. Barely passed.
[ If he notices her blush, he doesn't rub it in. They're an odd pairing for friends, but then again are he and Robin. That and he likes Eddie more than Jason. Jason had always just rubbed him the wrong way, despite being friendly and a decent basketball player. ]
You know, he might surprise you. Munson's not as tough as he looks. Hey! [ He snaps his fingers. ] You should go see that new one by Hughes. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I've heard good things. Ease him in.
