This is a karaoke bar and that’s the sweetest song ever when singing your heart out to inebriated strangers. Your up next, better not screw up and forget the words.

How To Play
1. Post with Your Character, name and canon in the subject line. In the comment part, post a link to the song your character is singing at a karaoke bar. You can also post song lyrics.
2. Other characters will tag to either heckle your song choice or congratulate you on an awesome performance.

[ the song starts with familiar lingering strings. he's come here for a respite, and had found a modicum of peace until the song starts. at the familiar melody his eyes snap to the stage and find the singer, a woman with blunted red hair and dark, searching eyes. she's all leanness and danger, singing like she owns every note, and the rest of the band follows her lead seamlessly. erik's drawn to her despite himself as the mournful trumpets echo her final notes.

he watches as she leaves the stage to warm applause, following to where she situates herself on the other end of the bar. the smoke diffuses the faces of the bar's patrons like water poured on a wet painting-- he knows he's left the western world when they stop caring where you smoke and start asking for identification at random. the thick air obscures her face, gives her angles a deceptive softness that other men underestimate. he smirks as he watches her dismiss them and admires her deft skill at handling the drunk louts. it's rare to find such strength in the world.

he walks over after a few minutes more. ] May I? [ erik had been taught manners, after all, and asks before he sets his glass down. ] Not many can do such a standard justice.

Thing is, she gets there way in advance-- a force of habit. Wearing a black Chinese-cut dress, she watched the singers onstage. Their ability ranged from bad to okay, so far, but she has to admire their energy -- and one amused her in particular.

By the time Dean returns to his seat, he'll find a fresh new pint of beer, the waitress telling him it's "from the blonde with the Rhode Island Iced Tea"; and should the singer look her way, she'll give him a nod and a smile. ]

Ammy bounded up onto the stage -- if no one else was going to get this party started, she was definitely ready to step up! Once up in the spotlight, she sat back on her haunches and started to belt out a tune.

...Which was fine and good, except that howling wasn't really singing and also wolves couldn't recite lyrics. Also she wasn't even trying to howl Hotel California as much as Don't Stop Believin', so it was all very confusing.
