This is a karaoke bar and that’s the sweetest song ever when singing your heart out to inebriated strangers. Your up next, better not screw up and forget the words.

How To Play
1. Post with Your Character, name and canon in the subject line. In the comment part, post a link to the song your character is singing at a karaoke bar. You can also post song lyrics.
2. Other characters will tag to either heckle your song choice or congratulate you on an awesome performance.

[ And of course we need to get, back in time! ]

[Okay Doctor. Take her to a space bar five million years in the future and they still manage to have karaoke? Impressive. The fact that she can find a song she knows? Well that's downright amazing!]

Rory! This song is for you! [Amy shouts, only to find her wonderful husband has apparently made his way off to the loo.] Or, not.

[No matter, Amy loves being center stage. Not to mention, she does a fabulous rendition of Adele's Skyfall theme. Who knew James Bond would be so popular so far into the future?]

[ There has to be away to keep one's self entertained on those long voyages in space, and a night of drunken karaoke is just one of those timeless cultural items from planet Earth.

Forget Mozart, Huey Lewis and the News, take center stage with that smash hit. He stops only for Amy to steal the stage, so he waits for her to finish up. ] Bellissimo! [ The Doctor allpauds for his best friend. ] Wait! Wait! [ The Doctor sounds like a little kid when an idea comes to him. ] We should sing a duet.

[Amy trots down and off the stage, he grin growing wider when she stops short.] That. Is a fabulous suggestion. What do you think Doctor, got the chops then?

[Arching her eyebrow playfully, she held out a second microphone she grabbed from the nearby stage.]

Of course, I've got the chops! I've always had the chops, and I even helped write, 'Fly me to the Moon!' [ He was literally full of himself, and sometimes one would have to wonder if he was being serious about anything he has done.

He follows her over to the stage, taking the microphone from her hand, and he taps it. ] I'll let you pick the song we're going to sing. [ He hopes it's 'I've Got You Babe', or some other quirky duet. ]

[Close, very close.

Elton John and Kiki Dee's "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" sounds pretty soon after Amy does some typing in the holo touch-screen. There's a groan from some peculiar looking green fellow down front, if only because the song Amy picked is one of the most overdone karaoke song in the universe. Literally, in all the universe.]

You did not! [Amy accuses with a laugh.] ...Right?

Work has been keeping me busy!

[ The Doctor's interest perks up at the music that Amy picks for them to sing. He holds back on pointing out the lack of taste the green fellow has.

He starts to sway to the music, and he waits for the prompt to appear. ] Now what do you think I'm doing while you and Rory are asleep?

Apparently showing off for old musicians and composers!

[And there was that one time he showed up in Rory's old films.

Amy is grinning and when the lyrics do pop up, she stops talking and starts singing. She knows all the words and happily sings with gusto.]

And, dodging marriage proposals, I still owe Marilyn that wedding one of these days. [ Now he's being cheeky or maybe there's a hint of truth to what he's saying. He waits for the prompts to come up, and he sings along even if completely off key.

This still was a ton of fun, and he's enjoying it. And, he can't avoid the urge to dance along to the music.]

[The Doctor isn't in the same galaxy as the key the song was in but he still managed to capture the way Elton John could croon. Its not long before Amy's getting caught up in the fun and dancing like a fool right alongside.

What? They were already getting funny looks from the audience. Amy considers this a good time to let go and be silly.]

[ He likes to think he's on key, and The Doctor might do better, when he's all alone in the shower. He continues to sing, and he swings his pelvis as if he were Elvis.

The funny looks don't seem to bother him one bit, even if he's making an arse out of himself. ] We do have a Karaoke bar inside the TARDIS! We should make this a thing, you know, a thing-thing!

[Amy just manages to keep herself from cracking up and ruining the end of the song. Sometimes the Doctor is just too much.

By the end, she's dancing too.]

I am all about it being a thing-thing. Rory used to be in a band. Sort of. Not really, but he can sing!
