Party all the time

A PARTY FOR EVERYONE MEME
Whether you love 'em or hate 'em, you're at a party! Maybe you snuck in or were actually invited or dragged here against your will, or possibly even the lovely host that started it all? Whatever the reason, you're stuck here for a while so... might as well enjoy the free food, right?
How to Play:
— Comment with your character and preferences. Additionally, a short blurb about what they can be found doing at said party would be helpful for those tagging in.
— Others choose a setting and scenario and reply.
— Have fun or be miserable with friends and strangers alike!
SETTING
- House Party: Just a party someone decided to throw at their house, or maybe they were smart enough to rent one for the evening? Whether it's a cramped one-story or a spacious mansion, there's enough food and entertainment to go around!
- Pool Party: A pool at a house? On a yacht? Maybe even a pool by the beach? Hope you brought a floatie if you don't know how to swim! And a bathing suit. Unless it's a nude party...?
- Slumber Party: Adults can have them too! No one really outgrows gossip or grooming or movies or sleep, not that there's ever much of that going on. Who wouldn't love a party you get to wear pajamas to?
- Old-Fashioned Ball: Ladies and gentlemen, don your finest gown and suit and prepare to dance the night away! Hopefully with a prince or princess, am I right?
- Tea Party: For the classy folks who love getting all dressed up for tea and biscuits. There's probably a lovely view of a garden and fountain nearby for that extra luxurious touch.
- Birthday Party: You're never too old to celebrate your birthday. Did you just turn legal drinking age? Or maybe someone threw a surprise party just for you! Make it as big or small of a spectacle as you want - that is, if you have any say in the matter.
- Holiday Party: The holidays are here, or just around the corner. Did you come bearing gifts or food or ugly sweaters? At the very least be sure to spread some holiday cheer!
- Costume Party: You can be anyone or anything you want to be! Like a knight, or a lion. Or a sexy knight and a sexy lion. Just make sure it's not a PG party you're showing up half-naked to.
- Bachelor(ette) Party: Sorry kiddos, this one's for the grown-ups. Show your best girl or buddy a night to remember before they kiss the single life goodbye! Or maybe you don't know the bride or groom-to-be at all and you're just here for the strippers.
- Other: Mix and match or feel free to use others not listed!
SCENARIOS
- Dancing: It's not a party without music now is it? Don't be shy, ask someone cute for a dance!
- Food & Drinks: The food's free and there's drinks all around! Unless there's children here. In which case, only adults get the special juice! Just remember, no one likes to babysit a drunk.
- Party Games: 7 Minutes In Heaven, anyone? Never Have I Ever? Let's be honest, they're mostly drinking games. But sometimes a simple game of cards or Pin the Tail On the Donkey can be fun too!
- Mingling: Hey, doesn't that person look familiar? Did you hear about that couple that broke up in the other room? It's a social event so find something, anything, to be social about!
- Entertainment: You're here either to entertain or be entertained. Are there exotic dancers? Enchanting singers? Captivating magicians? Sit back and enjoy the show or have fun providing a service!
- Privacy: Too much noise and not enough personal space? There's always a place somewhere in the back you can escape to. Just don't be surprised if you're not the only one seeking some peace and quiet.
- Shady Business: A party can be a good place to do business, legal or not. Maybe you're a client, or just an innocent party-goer walking into the wrong place at the wrong time. Or maybe you're the shady one around here. Either way, nobody wants any trouble... Right?
- Fireworks: A big party needs a big finisher after all! Enjoy the view with a friend or run around with some sparklers of your own. Preferably sober.
- Wildcard: It's a party guys, go wild!

Which was something they should have done for someone like Thrawn. His brother was intelligent and the greatest military mind among the Chiss. The other families should have been begging him to transfer over.

He was, truly. Most of his adult life had been spent around aliens, and while the humans he'd encountered were mostly racists, there were a lot of people he'd liked quite a lot. Enough to consider them just as much his own as he did the Chiss. Not so much in this time, but he didn't doubt that he probably could find a group to call family even if they were different species.
He just didn't really want to.
Whether he meant to or not, Mitth'ras'safis had given him hope that he could go home. The home he returned to would be different from the one he'd left so long ago, but still. The Ascendancy was where he belonged.
"And... Not you, though? From your clothes and the way you carry yourself and the fact that you're here in the first place, I'm guessing you must be a Syndic or an Aristocra yourself, even though you didn't introduce yourself as either and said you used to be a commoner. And yet, even though I could possibly become a boon to your family, you're advising me to keep it to myself for now."
His tone was both somewhat amused, and yet slightly appreciative too. He'd seen for himself in the past what some people could be like when there was something they wanted. The other Chiss's respectful demeanor and careful approach reminded him a bit of how his mother had been.
"For what it's worth, we were part of the Chaf family originally. Before the exile. Whether I'd still want to be if I go to the Ascendancy... Who knows. One of the people downstairs is a Chaf, right? I've never seen so much snootiness and entitlement in a single person before in my life, and I say that without even having interacted with the guy."
There had been plenty of that in his time too, of course, but still. It was both kind of funny to have been seated watching the Chaf unknowingly insult the host, and also kind of horrifying to know someone so inept got to handle more than a vibromop and bucket in wherever the Chaf homestead was now.

"I'm a Syndic, yes." He was also rather young for a syndic, or at least, younger than most. He knew how to play the politics game and had used that knowledge to quickly rise through the ranks. Not unlike how Thrawn was one of the youngest Chiss to make Commander.
"That would be Chaf'orm'bintrano. He's only an Aristocra, but he likes to think of himself being more important than he really is. He most certainly would turn up his nose at you upon finding out about your family's exile status. And then he would turn around and try to reclaim you for the Chaf if he knew about your powers."

He'd never intended that sort of life for himself, certain of his path even from a young age, but he could appreciate it nonetheless. Of course life had had other plans for him too, than the plans he'd made for himself.
Faine couldn't help the sharp note of laughter that escaped him at the description of Chaf'orm'bintrano, the sound coming out with a quick pop of static from the mask he wore, "He did strike me as that sort of type, yes. Good to know I've got a good eye for that sort of thing even when it comes to other Chiss. I've been on my own and among aliens for so long that I'd... Worried, I suppose."
He knew his own demeanor was a bit more open, compared to others. Not entirely, but still. That was a mask too, of course, but one that fit the false identity of an exile who'd only had his parents to go off of to guide his behavior very well. It would be useful, until the day when he decided whether or not integrating back into Chiss society would truly be the right choice now that the path to that life was open to him.
"I realize you may be the wrong person to ask, but they're not all like that, are they?"
If so then the family had fallen far indeed.

"The Mitth and the Chaf don't exactly get along, but if I'm being honest, no they aren't all like that. I've met my share of Chaf who are pleasant and whom I've gotten along with. And my brother has served with crewmates belonging to the Chaf, and he didn't say anything negative about them."
