A PARTY FOR EVERYONE MEME

Whether you love 'em or hate 'em, you're at a party! Maybe you snuck in or were actually invited or dragged here against your will, or possibly even the lovely host that started it all? Whatever the reason, you're stuck here for a while so... might as well enjoy the free food, right?

How to Play:
— Comment with your character and preferences. Additionally, a short blurb about what they can be found doing at said party would be helpful for those tagging in.
— Others choose a setting and scenario and reply.
— Have fun or be miserable with friends and strangers alike!

SETTING

House Party: Just a party someone decided to throw at their house, or maybe they were smart enough to rent one for the evening? Whether it's a cramped one-story or a spacious mansion, there's enough food and entertainment to go around!
Pool Party: A pool at a house? On a yacht? Maybe even a pool by the beach? Hope you brought a floatie if you don't know how to swim! And a bathing suit. Unless it's a nude party...?
Slumber Party: Adults can have them too! No one really outgrows gossip or grooming or movies or sleep, not that there's ever much of that going on. Who wouldn't love a party you get to wear pajamas to?
Old-Fashioned Ball: Ladies and gentlemen, don your finest gown and suit and prepare to dance the night away! Hopefully with a prince or princess, am I right?
Tea Party: For the classy folks who love getting all dressed up for tea and biscuits. There's probably a lovely view of a garden and fountain nearby for that extra luxurious touch.
Birthday Party: You're never too old to celebrate your birthday. Did you just turn legal drinking age? Or maybe someone threw a surprise party just for you! Make it as big or small of a spectacle as you want - that is, if you have any say in the matter.
Holiday Party: The holidays are here, or just around the corner. Did you come bearing gifts or food or ugly sweaters? At the very least be sure to spread some holiday cheer!
Costume Party: You can be anyone or anything you want to be! Like a knight, or a lion. Or a sexy knight and a sexy lion. Just make sure it's not a PG party you're showing up half-naked to.
Bachelor(ette) Party: Sorry kiddos, this one's for the grown-ups. Show your best girl or buddy a night to remember before they kiss the single life goodbye! Or maybe you don't know the bride or groom-to-be at all and you're just here for the strippers.
Other: Mix and match or feel free to use others not listed!

SCENARIOS

Dancing: It's not a party without music now is it? Don't be shy, ask someone cute for a dance!
Food & Drinks: The food's free and there's drinks all around! Unless there's children here. In which case, only adults get the special juice! Just remember, no one likes to babysit a drunk.
Party Games: 7 Minutes In Heaven, anyone? Never Have I Ever? Let's be honest, they're mostly drinking games. But sometimes a simple game of cards or Pin the Tail On the Donkey can be fun too!
Mingling: Hey, doesn't that person look familiar? Did you hear about that couple that broke up in the other room? It's a social event so find something, anything, to be social about!
Entertainment: You're here either to entertain or be entertained. Are there exotic dancers? Enchanting singers? Captivating magicians? Sit back and enjoy the show or have fun providing a service!
Privacy: Too much noise and not enough personal space? There's always a place somewhere in the back you can escape to. Just don't be surprised if you're not the only one seeking some peace and quiet.
Shady Business: A party can be a good place to do business, legal or not. Maybe you're a client, or just an innocent party-goer walking into the wrong place at the wrong time. Or maybe you're the shady one around here. Either way, nobody wants any trouble... Right?
Fireworks: A big party needs a big finisher after all! Enjoy the view with a friend or run around with some sparklers of your own. Preferably sober.
Wildcard: It's a party guys, go wild!

It had been three months now, since Faine had apparently stepped into the wrong Force anomaly and out into an entirely different time. He was quick to adapt, of course, as any man like him should be. He had been part of the Ascendancy's secret police before ever joining the Sith Empire, and had been trained quite thoroughly as an intelligence agent too, so finding himself somewhere new and finding a way to blend in- procuring a false identity and bluffing his way through lingering doubt- was second nature to him.

His name was just Faine here. He was the son of exiles who had also been sons and daughters of exiles. He was a hunter and a fighter, and he wanted to help in return for a place to live away from the troubles of the wider galaxy. That was how he had approached the people of this remote but resource-rich dirt ball that nonetheless had a colorful enough culture to not leave him weary upon touching down.

Anonymous was great, but he'd rather not suffocate himself in the process.

Not once had the thought crossed his mind that any of his own kind would find their way here to court the natives of this planet for trade and whatever else the Ascendancy needed. He had been approached after the Ascendancy had first made its offer, asked to be a translator, though he'd assured them that the Ascendancy would want nothing to do even with the son of an exile- and that they'd likely be able to communicate well enough in trade languages.

Hadn't stopped them from inviting him though. Faine supposed that made sense, given that he and his sniper rifle had recently run off a group of bandits that had plagued them for a while. And much as he'd rather not draw any attention to himself and retreat into the small flat he shared with his Tooka cat for the duration of the Chiss delegation's stay, he couldn't. That would be terribly rude and set him back.

The colorful and cheerful party full of food and drinks moved by brilliantly downstairs. Lights and music and guests in colorful gowns or suits or robes. Faine however, dressed in the dark colors he preferred and a long hooded coat, sat on the ornate banister of the mostly dark upstairs, the position giving him a good view of the ballroom and its guests. While there were lovely balconies to be found on the level he'd set himself up on- for privacy even in his participation of the event rather than setting up a sniper nest for once- most of the guests seemed content to visit the gardens should they feel the need for fresh air. A plate of food and a glass of champagne sat next to him, and his sniper rifle stood leaned against the railing too- he never really went anywhere without it.

Besides a few servants running through the upstairs to avoid the crowd in their haste to ensure the event went smoothly, he'd had a mostly quiet evening. Even if someone downstairs should see him, the man dressed in dark clothes with a face that was barely visible was known to the locals, and uninteresting compared to the glitz and glamour for anyone else.

Much as he'd like to go down there and mingle with some of his own kind for the first time in months, it... Wasn't worth the risk. He was contaminated, and he was not technically a Chaf in this time either, so going down there would only result in many uncomfortable questions and possibly danger that he didn't feel like facing.

Luckily the Chiss present- mostly some Aristocras and Syndics, Faine thought, from how they carried themselves with such importance- seemed to be focusing on fostering good relationships with the locals in their own standoffish sort of way. So far he'd seen a couple of Mitths he thought, and maybe a Chaf and an Irizi, though he couldn't be entirely certain. He did briefly wonder what Ascendancy politics looked like now. He didn't think any of them would slip away to find somewhere more private for a breather though, so his position felt secure enough, and so he could watch and ponder in private.
