Cabin in the Woods
You know the stories. A group of kids, just like you, goes on break in a cabin that belongs to your uncle/cousin/roommate's step-grandma. You have a few drinks, maybe fool around a little, and next think you know, you're running from a maniac with an axe who just beheaded your best friend. Yikes. At least you can take comfort in the fact that your suffering will provide entertainment to the masses at a rate of one sequel every few years. And hey, maybe you'll be the survivor!
(This is a Cabin in the Woods-inspired meme, although it can be used for more general "cabin in the woods"-style horror. To play, post in with what character archetypes you think your character can work with. Your character does not have to fit the archetypes perfectly; the virgin does not have to be an actual virgin, the scholar does not have to be that scholarly. If your character does not fit the archetype, feel free to assume something is pushing them to act like they do. Your character may or may not notice this pushing.)
Archetypes.
The Harbinger. The Harbinger is the character who warns the protagonists of the danger in what they're doing - explaining backstory about why your cabin is a Murder House, perhaps - but is almost always ignored.
The Athlete. Cocky, strong, natural-born leader. Often a womanizer. Probably the guy who's going to say "we should split up."
The Whore. Sexy, sometimes bitchy, sometimes a cheerleader. There will probably a boob shot. She's probably going to be the first to die. Is it sexist as hell? Yes, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
The Scholar. Nicer and more approachable than the Athlete, the Scholar might have a cute flirtation going on with the Virgin. He's probably going to connect the dots on whatever Mysterious Being is killing off his friends. Knowledge of Latin optional but preferable.
The Fool. The comedic relief. The fool may be a stoner or a nerd (or both!) and probably isn't taken that seriously. May be hilariously cowardly, may be the Only Sane Man. Either way, he's probably gonna kick it.
The Virgin. Relateable and nice, the Virgin is easy for the audience to connect to and root for. She's the most likely to survive this hellish ordeal, but if she does, she's gonna have to earn it in blood, sweat, and tears.
The Monster. Supernatural? All-too-human? Who knows! If the Monster is you, then you're in control of the story!

5. Fornicus, Lord of Bondage and Pain.
6. Kevin.
7. The Reanimated.
