When a vampire is hungry and isn't quite so decent or hard up as to lower himself to only buying blood at the butcher's or trapping and draining small animals instead, their dietary supplement of preference is human blood. [ Persephone had invited Caleb by her small, hole-in-the-wall apartment for entirely innocent reasons, at least at first. She's never been one to make friends quickly or easily, not before her Embrace and certainly not after -- social and political games grow all the more dangerous when all of one's peers are undead immortals, and Persephone is always prepared for other vampires who simply want to use her, or her blood sorcery, as a means to an end.

So she's not sure she quite considers the wizard her friend, but he's pleasant company for a mortal, and they share several interests in common. For the time being she's presented herself as a mortal witch and a student of the unusual and occult, having not seen the need to tell him what she truly is. This evening she has a collection of rare tomes and papers laid out on the dining table, all on alchemy and ritual spirit-binding and various forms of divination; she made him tea, though it might be conspicuous that she hasn't drunk any herself, or eaten anything either.

In the middle of their conversation she starts to become aware of a very familiar sensation, like and also totally unlike a mortal's experience of hunger. It's a sensation that starts in the abdomen, moves up through the chest and into the head -- a burning, tearing ache. For now it's low-grade, something she can push aside to focus on her guest, but she knows it won't stay that way.

[ Bloodplay is canonically one of Erron's most glaringly apparent kinks, as evidenced by the fact that he went out with a vampire and then a blood mage back to back, both of whom it's heavily implied he was all too happy to let feed off him. I like to sprinkle in a little headcanon while I salvage bits of his original backstory wherein he was conditionally immortal himself, too. My interpretation is that the magic preventing him from aging normally is within his blood, which makes it particularly potent for blood magic in addition to temporarily fortifying anyone who ingests it (even otherwise perfectly ordinary humans.) Catnip for the sanguinary.

scenario a. would see some variation of him a willing victim who doesn't shy away from a little rough and dangerous.
scenario b. would see some variation of him trying to face down as an unwilling victim, quickly getting in over his head, and then gradually succumbing to his own weakness for bloodletting being purely sexual in his own mind.
