rain

the caught in the rain meme
It started out quietly, and then, quite suddenly, you're caught in a storm with an endless downpour. Time to quickly find cover! Nothing much to do but to wait it out. Where is the rain happening? How are you coping? Why are you out when it hits?

SCENARIOS
i WHERE:
001 PLAYGROUND | Well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK | Always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT | Better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of.
004 BEACH | Not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm.
005 FOREST | Mud, bugs and all the rambler's paths are washed away so you don't know how to get out.
006 SKY | On a plane? A pegasus? You were there when the first drop fell.
007 EMPTY CITY | Maybe it was a zombie apocalypse or WW3. It's safer outside when all the nasties take refuge indoors.
008 AT SEA | Nothing is worse than an unexpected freak storm here. Except sea monsters.
009 TEMPLE | It's beautiful, but leaky.
010 WILD CARD | Your call.
ii HOW:
001 TREE | Not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA | Most conventional... Kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER | Not permanent, but it'll have to do. Good luck.
004 SHIRT | Well... y'gotta do what you gotta do.
005 MAGIC | Wave that wand or chant a spell.
006 CARDBOARD | Out of a dumpster. Nice.
007 LEAVES | Not under a tree: just one really huge leaf.
008 CAVE | Not very deep, but it keeps off the worst.
009 NONE | You don't need cover, screw convention.
010 WILD CARD | Your call.
iii WHY:
001 REJECTED | Welp. Rejection sucks. And no one will see you crying in the rain.
002 WAITING | For the bus? For someone else? For some revelation? What are you waiting for.
003 MELANCHOLY | Sometimes the best place to feel a bit down is out in the rain.
004 HAPPINESS | Is everything going your way? Are you singing a refrain while walking down the lane? Just singin. Singin' in the rain.
005 ANGER | WELL YOU KNOW WHAT. SCREW YOU TOO, RAIN.
006 ACCEPTANCE | You had to be here anyway, it wasn't a choice.
007 SCIENCE | Everyone else is inside but you've got work to do.
008 ACCIDENTAL | Lost track of time? Forgot your coat? Oops. Now you look like a wet rat.
009 KISSING | They kissed you. How are you supposed to leave them alone out here after that?
010 WILD CARD | Your call.

Touya Kinomoto | CCS | M/M

but touya is there, as kind and warm as he's always been, and that's enough. maybe this wasn't the reason he was created for, but he was still allowed to be his own person, wasn't he?
these are the thoughts he's lost in as they're on their way back from the high school, and he's startled out of them by a single cold droplet of rain that hits the back of his neck and is quickly joined by dozens of others. ]
Oh-
[ yukito is startled; he'd barely noticed it was overcast. he glances around, then gestures at the nearby park. ]
There should be shelter there, if you want to wait it out?

Guess we better. [He gave the sky a slightly annoyed look as if it could actually understand. He starts to head in the direction Yuki pointed out.]
[He got a bit wet on the way over as it started coming down, a hand raking through the dampness of said hair and flicking away the water.] I hate getting wet. [In a previous life he was probably a cat with how picky he could be]

"You'll dry soon," he says, and it's meant to be reassurance, not chastising. "How are you feeling?"
no subject
"Still standing." He responds to the question of how he was feeling. That was really all he could hope for as they sat down. "Really, I'm fine." He tried to reassure. "You don't have to worry so much. I slept during home room." He admitted with a shrug as he gave him a little nudge. "You're here, that's what matters to me."

He glances over, meeting his eyes, not sure why he himself is flustered. "Everyone seemed really glad to have you back today."
no subject
His attention turned back to the other when he spoke. "I was surprised." He didn't think anyone would notice that he was gone. He didn't think he had that much impact, but apparently he had. People were chatting his ear off while he just listened and let them do so. "Didn't think anyone would notice." They all had lives to live. He didn't expect anyone to think much about him.
He was glad to have the comfortable quiet that was just theirs though. He reached up with a free hand to gently move some of Yuki's hair from his eyes in an affectionate sort of way.
no subject
"Don't be silly," he says with a soft smile, and it's hard to resist the urge to lean into that slight touch. "You're one of the most popular boys in school."
This feels bigger than pointless gossip, and Yuki's eyes are sharp, curious.
no subject
His fingertips gingerly brushed that hair away, then touched his neck a little. As if seeing what touches he could get away with when it came to him. And then finally, he just did it. Bit the bullet and leaned in to kiss him.
no subject
Well, it's his first kiss, and with a gust of rain causing a pleasantly cool lash of wind against them, he's not entirely sure if he could think of a way to improve it. He returns it in kind, careful, and when he pulls away it's with sheepishness on his face. "Toya-?"
no subject
He wouldn't force him into a second, even if he kind of wanted to experience that again. Yuki was warmer than he thought he'd be, comforting to the touch. Touya on the other hand was still a bit cool, like magic had literally provided him warmth. He didn't remove his hand, at least not unless Yuki wanted him to. "Was it bad?"
no subject
For now, he's simply a bit flustered. There was no question on his part when it came to how he felt about Kinomoto Touya, but at the same time- "I'm not human," he reminds him gently, touching the other boy's cheek in turn. It's raining hard enough that no one is around; this feels as private as Touya's room had been the other night.
no subject
His resolve stood behind his words, Touya had known for some time that Yuki wasn't human and he still wanted to be with him.

He starts to reciprocate in kind, but pulls away instead, face flushed. "We're outside," he says softly. "That's-" Impolite. Improper. He doesn't know the exact word, only that he desperately wants to kiss the boy beside him again already.
no subject
If Yuki really wanted him to stop of course, he would. But still he tried again. Touya didn't seem to care that they were outside. He never really was concerned with how things looked to anyone else.
