Apprenticeship is a system of training a new generation of practitioners in a particular craft or trade. An Apprentice learns new skills from a Master, usually an older professional in their field. A Mastercan be a mentor and a friend, or a harshly disciplining teacher, preparing their proteges to follow in their footsteps. A Master and Apprentice typically get to have lots of one on one time. Sometimes it takes time and patience to develop a special relationship amid the trials of leaning something new, but in time most good masters will pass down plenty of trade secrets and wisdom to prepare someone special to hone their young talents and follow in their footsteps!

How this meme works:

- Masters tag in first.
- Please include in your subject line Name and Trade/Skill or Secret Order you're training for.

So this'll end up looking like, for example:
Palpatine | Sith
Tenzin | Airbending
Severus Snape | Occulmency / Potions
Haymitch | WIN THE HUNGER GAMES!
Mr Myagi | Karate

Any skill can be taught, you don't have to be an official canon 'Master' of anything, you can offer to teach anything your character is willing (reluctantly or otherwise) to pass on.

- Wanna-be Apprentices! You get to tag into these masters as your whiny, callow, n00bish, noviced selves, going through a day of training. Maybe you're still petitioning to be taken under wing! Maybe undergoing a special rite of passage, well on your way to being a master yourself! Scenarios are up to you, no RNG here!

This is...is the equivalent of buying a vintage Ferrari for a student driver. Shin runs his long fingers along it, reverently.

Hachi was eager to get started, and ducked her head under the shoulder strap and positioning it across her body as Shin instructed. She struck a pose for him to observe--doesn't she look totally rockin'?!

Sob help even her internal monologue lingo is lame.

"Alright, today i'm gonna show you how to play most pop songs. Y'see, most of them are four chord songs."

Hachi beamed warmly at Shin's gesture, but quickly straightened up and took on a serious, artistic demeanor. She could totally do this. "Four chord songs. Right."

She has no idea what that means.

And then he showed her their positions, guiding her fingers to where they should be if she needed it.

"C...G...D...F sharp."

And then proceeded to demonstrate the principle.

Hachi couldn't just go and interrupt this entertaining demonstration..! But wow, come of think of it, she never figured that her 'taste' was really just the fact that...well..."...it seems I've been liking the same song this whole time, when you put it like that!"
