"Do whatever you want," she mumbled stubbornly.

"We both know how that'll work out," he said.

"You obviously want to fuck him, so I'm not going to stop you," she said. "You have your own...thing that works for you. I just got in the way."

"Would you like to join in?" He asked..

"No," she said and shook her head emphatically. "I know you guys don't give a shit, but Arthur hurt me and he doesn't even deserve to look at me."

He sighed and tightened his arm around her.

"I don't want to talk about this any more," she said, getting upset. "Either do it or don't, I don't want to know."

"Alright, alright," he said and then whispered, "I love you."

"Yeah, so does Arthur still apparently," she said with a snort. A fat lot love seems to matter.

"What do you mean?" He asked."did you talk to Arthur?"

"I texted him instead of you by accident today," she said.

"Ah. I see," he said quietly.

"Yeah."

"I'm sure you don't want to talk about it," he said.

"You can read it yourself," she said.

He nodded against her head.

She was quiet.

"I love you," he whispered.

"Love you too," she mumbled.

"Stop thinking about this and sleep," he said softly.

"That's what I've been trying to do," she said.

"Sorry," he murmured.

She was quiet again as she closed her eyes and tried to fall back to sleep.

He settled too and closed his eyes.

She fell asleep pretty quickly.
