Wait, I'm confused. He just turned back into a sprite or whatever he's supposed to be — is he going to be human again after dumping winter on the castle?

I'm more impressed by th'whistlin'. Can you do that?

[ His mood turns sourer as the Golden Knight gets Elisa to agree to marry him, honestly perplexed. Isn't this supposed to be where silly ol' Jack Frost gets the girl and lives happily ever after? That's what he was braced for, not this ... casual hopelessness.

[Merida notices the sudden sour mood and reaches over, her hand in his. She gets it. She won't say anything though.]

Father Winter still takes his job way too seriously, if y'ask me.

Nothing but cotton between his ears, judging by the animation.

[ Eyes roll to reassure her he isn't (he is) too invested in the story. Elisa's He was such a sweet friend! I wonder what happened to him? earns an affronted look in its own right. ]

Didn't the knight explain who else went off to try and save her too? Six weeks and she only just notices someone might be on the missing persons list, talk about falling in love at the drop of a hat.

[UH OH. THIS IS A CRUCIAL BRO MOMENT.]

Women are always like that. And I should know.

[---The face she's giving you right now is hilarious.

Because she really hasn't fallen head over heels for someone. Then again, she has witnessed a few of the maids lose their minds over a few boys with pretty hair. Part of her wondered if that would ever happen for her.]

Och, and now th'Ground Hog has t'sing. Why does he have t'sing? They're all awful.

Jeez, I understand why Bunny hates that guy now.

[ All his weight turns to jelly and Jack slumps heavily at Merida's side, voluntarily trying to suffocate. ]

[SHE'S SERIOUS. IT'S THAT BAD.]

I get the feeling anyone watching this would want to frighten the little monster.

[ Not much is interesting for a while, right up until Jack SpangleButt pleads for his humanity back. That's enough to have the real thing hazard a small smile. ]

[Though the action in front of them is... very entertaining. What with Jack imitating the little robot. There's a question that's been sitting in the back of Merida's mind.]

Have y'ever thought about it? [A glance up at him and his pale skin and white hair.] About being human?

[ White hair shivers as he shrugs again, eyes steadily on the screen. ]

Not really. Once or twice, but there didn't seem much point after that.

[She looks back to the screen. Watching as 'Jack' rides into town with his 'horse'. She nods softly]

Seems like his big reason for wantin' t'be human is tied up in that girl.

[and weirdly enough now she's rooting for that dorky Jack on the screen.]

[ It's such a cruel, pointless set-up to have the dorky Jack get everything he needs right up until Elisa is obviously blissed out and getting hitched to the Golden Knight.

But I thought she loved me.

I never heard her say she loved anyone but Jack Frost! Never you, Jack Snip. ]

Wild guess, but I think the moral here is 'don't be yourself if you're me'.

[ Merida, the movie is being mean. :( ]
