For as hard as you work (or as hard as you don't work), sometimes a person just needs a day. One day to skip responsibilities, whether they be school related or work related. And that's what this meme is for:

Playing hooky from your responsibilities. Whether you call out sick or just say 'fuck it' and run off for the day, that's your choice. Hopefully, you enjoy your day and don't get caught. Because nothing ruins a day of playing hooky more.

So while it's in your best interest to stuff as much fun into one day as possible, please be careful. We'd hate for anything to ruin your day off.

[...so it's been a weird week. And month. And longer period of time, if he's absolutely honest with himself. It hasn't all been bad-weird, but the ratio lately has very much been in an uncomfortable direction.

And today? It's just feeling like A Lot.

There's something just a little too unsettling about standing just outside the doors of the school while his body still aches from the most recent strain he'd pulled it through. There's something too surreal about catching sight of faces here and there in the sea around him that should be friendly but just look cold and distant. For a few seconds, it almost feels like physically being held back--like something beyond himself is pushing him back from the next few steps to get inside the building.

So if Gwen is looking for Miguel this morning, she'll find him like an uncomfortable statue in the stream of bodies, half-way to deciding that this just isn't going to work.]
