Oh my god, there is nothing more frustrating than when you want to kiss someone and press them against a wall, but for some reason, you can’t—or when you see two people who are obviously in love and you want to shove them into a room already. What is preventing you two from getting together? Can anyone end this?

1. BOSS ✖ A romance with a higher up or your boss is taboo for many good reasons, but you’re finding yourself falling in love with them anyways. Will others approve? Will one of you have to quit your job to not get the other into trouble?

2. JUST FRIENDS ✖ Talk about one of the biggest roadblocks to love ever! You want to kiss them, but you don’t want to ruin your current relationship. What are you going to do? Will you get the guts to confess and hope for the best?

3. GOALS ✖ You want to tear down a building to build an apartment complex, they want to make it a historical landmark. Opposing dreams and goals are huge roadblocks, especially if you happen to want to ‘sleep with the enemy’… literally.

4. TEAMMATES ✖ You work well together, you can depend on them no matter what, and you get along outside of the office or game. What you feel is just that happy camaraderie, not any mushy feelings of love or romantic affection! Is it?

5. DENIAL ✖ No, no way. You do not love that other person. They are stupid or just too prideful or you’re not interested in them at all. Ha, admit it, you totally are. Now go over there and admit your feelings before everyone around you goes insane.

6. COWORKERS ✖ Oh, this is awful. You really, really like your coworker, but there is a no dating policy, or they don’t date coworkers under any circumstances. Dare you make a move after hours or in the break room? It could be worse; you could have the hots for your boss.

7. POLITICS ✖ Clashing beliefs and heated debates always gets the blood pumping, and even though you have sworn to defeat them and get your bill pushed through, their eyes make your heart jump and makes you reconsider your ideals… Can you find a compromise or let bygones be bygones?

8. TAKEN ✖ Oh god. How can you confess to someone who is already taken? Why are you even feeling like this? You must never let them know. Ignore everyone who is encouraging you to take a leap of faith anyways. They are taken and that is that.

9. SOCIAL CLASS ✖ She is a princess, you are a stable boy, he is a rich lord, you are the scullery maid… Money is an important factor to any relationship, and sometimes, it can be one of the barriers. But how long are you going to let positions and titles keep you apart?

10. PRIDE ✖ You? Be in love with someone like that? Ha! No way. You are far above them, and you deserve only the best love. But… what if they are the best love and you just don’t realize it yet?

11. FAMILY FEUD ✖ One of the most famous of all the situations, for some reason, your families are fighting and as much as you like the other person, you can’t betray your family this way. But is there a good reason for the feud? Or a misunderstanding? Will true love conquer all without the abundance of death?

12. OBLIVIOUS ✖ This is the most frustrating one ever. It’s not that they hate each other or someone else is making a barrier, it’s just that they you have no idea how good of a couple you would make or how you always flirt with each other. Will one of you realize it, or does someone need to give you a push?

13. DUTY ✖ Bound by honor and loyalty, you can never cross the line that divides you and your love, be it that you swore to protect them or they serve you. Or will you? How will others react to this? Might it be considered forbidden?

14. FRIEND-ZONED ✖ Oh no, it's not what you think. You see, your best friend likes the person you like, and they are trying to go on a date with them (or get into their bed). But you can't let either of them know, because that is not what good friends do. But what do you do if your mutual crush is interested in you anyways?

15. WILDCARD ✖ Is there something we missed? Is there another scenario you want to play out, or would you like to roll the dice again? Go for it!

[They had met in her dreams.

It was during one of his usual dives in the Oceans of Wisps, he had come across one he didn't know and he had submerged himself further to look at the Wisps up close. He had been watching the world in the Wisp grow and evolve, it wasn't a special world, there was nothing in it that really caught his attention. But eternity is long when time doesn't even exist and boredom a terrible poison for his kind, so even a world without anything special was still a good entertainment. He had been reaching the end of his capacity to observe the world without getting bored when it happened, an accident in a private spacecraft, one of many accidents that he had witnessed across that world's life. Nothing really made it different from others, aside from Primo starting to feel bored again and a young girl losing her parents and being put in cryostasis due her injuries being too severe to be treated at the moment.

It had been a whim, he was bored and alone and she was frozen and alone. He reached in and plucked her out of her world, she was frozen there so her consciousness had no need to stay there, trapped in the void that exists at the margins of the human brain, waiting for, maybe, one day be unfrozen. Her name was Faye Chua, she was twenty years old, sole daughter of the president of a company and she had been cheerleader when she was younger. She demonstrated an outstanding capacity to adapt even to something as incredible as an existence outside of time and space. She was curious and adventurous, not wanting to waste the chance to spy onto other worlds once she was done mourning for the loss of his parents, and he had gone along with everything she wanted. Because he had nothing else to do. Because she declared he owed it to her for refusing to pull her parents into this plane of existence with her. Because she, with her impudence, cheerfulness and thrist for adventure reminded him that observing worlds, visiting them, could be fun and not a mere brief entertainment.

He had took her to the very first worlds he had ever visited. She had told him about every dream and wish for the future she had ever had. He took her to literally dance among the stars. She helped him count how many worlds could be seen from his domains. He taught her how to play chess despite her complains. She played so many times against him that she began to win. He brought her to one of the worlds where those who died in other worlds were attracted to so she could stay with her parents. She made up names for every flower and plant in his garden. It had been an eternity of existence before he met her, it was close to another eternity when she asked him if he thought if she would ever be unfrozen in her world.

She was full of dreams and wishes, but many of them were still linked to her world. And she was scared about how it would be, how much it would have changed, but also excited to see. To live on further and discover the type of person that she would be at thirty years old and then at forty and at fifty... He had always took her to whatever world she had asked. He couldn't deny her the world that was her own. She clinged hard to him, refusing to let go of his hand as they hanged in the void, waiting for her world to unfroze her. She was scared and excited, impatient to see the world but also sad for leaving him and for afronting once more the death of her parents. He had promised to stay there, to stay in the world and go through it with her. She would wake up from a long, long dream, she wouldn't remember much but with some luck she would have an inkling about him. And he would meet her there and they would go to every planet they could, travel across her world until her time came and then they would go back home in his domains.

She woke up. And she forgot.

Her name is Faye Valentine, she's twenty-four -not counting the time spent frozen, the eternity spent outside her world-, she's in debt and a criminal with no memories of her life before being unfrozen. She's scheming, irresponsible, cocky and flirty, with more pride and stubborness than anyone in her situation should have. And he can't stand her. No matter how much deep down at her core, under the layers that betrayal has made her create, she hasn't changed that much. No matter how amazing she still is or how blindly her arrogant smile can be whenever she gets away with a theft or a scheme. She's just annoying, arrogant, acting as if she's something important and unique in the multiverse, as if any guy would want to even spend a minute with her. Completely and utterly unbearable.

He stays in the world only because she has nothing else to do. Not because of a promise that is now void and null because she not only she didn't hold her end of the deal, but she became some petty femme-fatale-wannabe. He makes sure to always be there when she messes up, when she suffers or has trouble after her latest constant flow of wrong decisions blows up. Not because he wants to be there for her and comfort her, but to rub it against her and troll her until she is too angry and annoyed to even remember or care what had made her sad in the first place. They aren't friends. He hasn't even told her his name yet, always talking to her in cryptid ways when he's not trolling and sometimes he makes himself only visible to her while others he's visible to everyone, only because that annoys her even more and makes everything more fun.

Today he leans casually against a railing besides her, overlooking some of the tables of a casino. He knows that her pocket is full with cash and that she will burn it all before the end of the night.]
