The Jail Cell Meme

You are now trapped in a jail cell. You may or may not know why or how you got inside of it; having been teleported into one due to the fickle whims of a resident deity is just as acceptable as getting arrested. (Maybe because of this?) You also might be innocent. If you're innocent and confused then it really sucks to be you.

You have company. Their circumstances might be the same or different from your own. But you're stuck together for a while.

What do you guys do?

Oh, are you owning up to being the reason that I'm in here? [She's clearly just twisting what he's saying, teasing him with a grin.

She pulls her legs up and crosses them.]
I'm not sorry I joined in.
greenarrowed: (what is that)

[personal profile] greenarrowed 2013-02-01 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
More like, apologizing for ruining your evening in general.

[Because he knows that Tommy had to talk her into coming and he feels bad for that. Except not really that much because that's less time that they spend alone together and the petty side of him likes that.]

... Tommy knows where we are, right?

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-01 09:42 am (UTC)(link)
You didn't ruin anything. You're not the one that made plans with two people for the same night.

[If anyone is to blame, it's Tommy. Or herself since she could've just insisted on staying home. It's not like Oliver crashed a date they were on.

Laurel stares at him in thought.]
... I didn't see him come out and I didn't call him.

[He could have tried harder to get out of it. But he's not about to own up to that.

Oliver stares back at her for a long moment before he starts to laugh. He definitely didn't call Tommy either, so maybe he saw the lights from the cop cars and came out but couldn't get close enough?]

Well. At least it's not the first time I've ditched him with one of his girlfriends.

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-01 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's obvious when Oliver laughs that neither of them thought to call Tommy and Laurel just shakes her head, amused.]

But this has to be the first time you've ever ditched him to get arrested with one of his girlfriends. I wonder if he's jumping to conclusions right now.

[She knows it's going to be fun trying to explain the situation to him later.]
greenarrowed: (that's a lame nickname)

[personal profile] greenarrowed 2013-02-02 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[In all fairness, it's hard to remember to call someone when you're being arrested and now their phones have been taken away so they can't do anything about it until they're rescued.]

That doesn't sound like Tommy. [He's kind of being an ass but he's doing it out of love for his best friend so it's okay?]

Next time let's go to Paris or something instead of jail, alright?

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-03 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
[This is very true and, while they'd been out with Tommy, he hadn't been the first person on Laurel's mind when she did get to use the phone. She's dating Tommy, yes, but she's not sure she'd ever call him to get her out of jail, assuming it happens again in the future.

She just lets out an amused hum, as her hands drop into her lap. Hopefully, Tommy will find it worth laughing over despite their inability to get in touch with him before getting bailed out.]

Paris next time. Anything that doesn't involve us being behind bars. [She nods then tilts her head.] This has been the best past of the night. That can't say anything good about me.
greenarrowed: (hello down there sucker)

[personal profile] greenarrowed 2013-02-03 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Oliver fixes her with a raised eyebrow for that. It's his favorite part of the night too, not completely because he hates being stuck in a club, instead of out on the streets, knocking people off the list. But because he likes spending time with Laurel, and he'll take what he can get.]

It's making me question you as a lawyer. [He teases her after a moment.] That club was pretty lame though.

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-03 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[She knows how it sounds and she has no plans to mention it to anyone outside of the cell because of that. But the club was underwhelming at best and not anything like her original plans for the night, so she doesn't feel very bad about it.]

Shut up. [Laurel laughs, reaching out to playfully shove Oliver's shoulder.] Did you even want to be there tonight? Be honest.
greenarrowed: (laurel let's just otp and get married)

[personal profile] greenarrowed 2013-02-04 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Oliver nudges her right back.]

No. Not really. I only want to go to my own. [So he can sneak right back out of it and have a good, solid cover for his actions as the Hood. But if she wants to take that as self absorbed, then he's okay with that too.]

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-04 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[And Laurel nudges back because she refuses to be bested in a game of nudging when it's a small way to pass the time.]

Well, if you're going to pick one to go to, it might as well be your own. [She does think it's a little self absorbed, but it also seems sensible. If the owner of a club doesn't want to be at it, why would anyone else want to go there?]
greenarrowed: (yeah but what if you make sense smoak)

[personal profile] greenarrowed 2013-02-04 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh, it's on. Oliver elbows her back almost immediately.]

Are we going to have to drag you to come out to our club?

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-11 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
[And Laurel is hardly gentle when she returns the elbow, shifting closer to get a little more force as if she may be trying to knock Oliver off of the bench.]

You might. I'm so busy with work, you know...
greenarrowed: (happy oliver face)

[personal profile] greenarrowed 2013-02-13 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
[He has to hand it to her, she's stronger than she looks. But it's not enough to knock him off. He pushes her back.]

You're definitely the most boring lawyer ever.

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-13 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Boring, huh?

[She lets out a loud laugh at that as she rights herself from the last push, using both hands to return the favor as playful payback for his comment.]
greenarrowed: (neh heh)

[personal profile] greenarrowed 2013-02-13 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Oliver chuckles back at her, and moves to grab her hands, to try and stop her from shoving him again.]

Is this how you treat all your clients? [He's not technically her client anymore, but she can bet that if he ever needs someone again, he's going to go to her.]

[personal profile] litigate 2013-02-17 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
[And now it's something of a wrestling match as Laurel tries to regain use of her hands. She scoffs at the question.]

You're obviously a special case, Ollie. I wouldn't end up in a jail cell with any of my clients.
