The Find a New Ship Meme

One of the best parts about RP is finding ships you never knew you wanted. But sometimes it's hard finding exactly what you want, especially when you don't know the other canon (if it's crossover interaction) OR the other mun. Well, this meme takes away the pressure and biases brought around by unfamiliar names or icons. It strips shipping down to what it should be about: chemistry.

There are two ways to play on this meme. The first is the OOC route. The second is a more challenging, but perhaps more fun, route of having your character fill out a personal's ad. The best part? It's all anon at the start.


- Pick whether you want to fill out the OOC form or the IC form.
- For the IC version, feel free to assume your character was forced into it.
- Comment anonymously.
- Reply to others if you have a character who fits what they're looking for. You can stay anon for a few comments, but then you can pull a BIG REVEAL.
- For the OOC version, you can just offer your character. For the IC version, you might even want to "play" a bit before you un-anon.
- This is catered more towards crossover ships, but don't let that stop you if you want to do something canon. Also, friend"ships" are fine, too.
- If you both agree that it would be an interesting combination to play out, feel free to take it to another meme or play a scene here.

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF YOUR CHARACTER: Seemingly unrepentant, uncaring, idiot playboy with a heart of gold, far too much emotional baggage, and a little addition.

That said, if you hurt someone he cares for or you're doing less than morally fantastic things yourself, watch out. He's very devoted to his duty, to the point of self denial. Likes being outdoors and reading. A bit of a mother hen. He's older than his teammates, and most people in his franchise. He's also gone through various Traumatic Things, so that affects his judgement at times.

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF YOUR CHARACTER: Totally batshit insane, but that's because he's been all alone with a corpse for years with virtually no contact with anyone else. He's very violent and takes glee in murder, but he's not a sociopath--he's fully capable of loving and is extremely loyal and protective of anyone who demonstrates a lot of kindness and helpfulness towards him in his time of need.
SHORT DESCRIPTION OF CHARACTERS SOUGHT: Being okay with murder, demonic worship, and his obsession with taking care of the aforementioned corpse that he's been with for the the past few years is sort of required before anything else.

Think of a 'tough mother' type of person--someone who would step in and save him if he's wounded, give him respect, and tolerate his off-color humor and random bouts of dancing, but who will also not put up with his shit (like, if he kills someone he specifically wasn't supposed to, getting punched and kicked for it). He needs an anchor for what sanity he has left, and in return, he'd be doggedly loyal, loving, and put up with a lot of abuse.
OTHER NOTES: Yeah... he's probably going to end up in a twisted relationship no matter what, so I'm totally up for it! Het is preferred, but if you have the perfect man for him, I'm totally up for it!

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF YOUR CHARACTER: An easy going guy, laid back and tends to really dumb down his intelligence and observation skills. Even when he's making a good point he presents it in a way that's "in character" partly because he's just that laid back, partly because he doesn't like things being all serious and depressing. Dude eats a LOT, sleeps a lot, doesn't clean much (his room is a disaster), and likes to tease cute girls. He's ridiculously tactile and affectionate. No concept of personal space, sorry. orz

There's a shy, fairly intelligent girl here who can definitely meet the cute and chipper aspects. As for the levels of affection, well... she's had some rough luck with men, so it might take her a little bit to get used to any sort of positive attention, but I can't see any problem with affection once she knows to expect it.

So, I have a character who's a bit of a mix: he's intelligent, especially on the gadgeteering front, and loves to talk about how things go, or how things are made. He's well brought up and is polite and formal, but is also pretty hopeless about social interactions. He's less rude/smart and more woobie/smart.

He's also a vampire that has dealt with being changed from a young age -- in his universe, vampires are able to age, but do so slowly. He's more or less out of the closet about it and is impeccably polite about it and the requirements, though outside of his own home, where there are servants specifically for blood letting, he is equally hopeless about dealing with the food situation. He finds asking a squeemish and rude thing, and is too well brought up to go on a frenzy.

Not pushing for a relationship, but thought the two characters might play well off of one another!

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF YOUR CHARACTER: Upbeat, perceptive, highly-motivated social butterfly with a lot of inner strength, but an equal amount of emotional baggage. Because of tl;dr, from a young age she's taken 'fake it 'til you make it' very seriously, to the point where whenever bad, but 'personal' shit goes down, her sadness isn't ~justified~ and must be buried beneath cheer. On the other hand, her rare moments of anger are expressed through explosive meltdowns because she literally has only the vaguest of ideas on how to handle it.

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF CHARACTERS SOUGHT: Het. Somebody with similar issues in re: to hiding negative feelings while appearing constantly happy, because what I really, really, really want is a mutual 'learning it's okay to show sadness' experience like you have no idea. It doesn't even have to be romantic, just something that's got a lot of emotional depth and isn't easy to define.

OTHER NOTES: Because this is too much of a thing to be left until the reveal, I'll say it now - she's 13. However, she's also an emancipated minor, has been since she was 10, spent the last year living alone and generally comes across as someone closer to 17. Buuuuut that doesn't extend to sexuality and things would be pretty G without an aging up. And only you would know how your character would feel about growing that close to a 13 year old.

I have someone that I could play closer to her age, and I don't mind time skips or age up's for later scenarios after trying things out (honestly I'm probably rather shit playing guys in anything adult anyway. x: so rusty.), but I'm also game for a big-bro-ish relationship if you might be? She craves acknowledgement, but chooses to surpress her own emotions and desires. Prone to jealousy and grudges, and often lies out of convenience. However, she also has committed a number of ruthless crimes, including being an accomplice in multiple murders, and conspiring to abduct and kill a child.
