when we were young

Aged Down!
Something has happened to you: Somehow, you've been aged down. Maybe you have memories of being older. Maybe you're aged down in memories as much as you are in form.
Don't worry, help is on the way!
...Whether you want it or not.
What happens next?
Post as either the aged-down character or as a potential finder. How it happened is up to you!
adora » she-ra » ota
Normal and de-aged characters welcome! ]

'Let's go see Razz, Catra'. [yeah she's grumbling about it.] 'She's not that weird, Catra'. 'The gross glowy goo is fine, Catra'. [Now that the heart attack has passed, Catra is allowed to be annoyed. She's also totally refusing to let either of them go back into Razz's house until the old lady comes back from wherever she's gone to. Adora clearly can't be trusted with anything in there.] Your ideas are just the worst, you know that?
[But she is going to side-eye the tiny, shrunken form of her best friend, tail swishing uneasily.] You... sure you're feeling okay?

[ It's the first words she's actually managed aside from assurances that were already automatic even so young, too busy staring in gap-toothed wonder as her now grown-up best friend (because it's Catra, and it doesn't matter how tall and old and pretty she gets, Adora will always recognize her best friend.)
She's clutching Catra's hand as tightly as she can, like she's afraid she'll bolt any minute. ]
Is this a practice? Who's Razz? Did Shadow Weaver send us here? You're so tall, Catra!
[ In no time period will Catra ever get silence for very long, of course. ]

And... Adora wasn't actually this tiny when they were kids, right? There's no way she was. Catra distinctly remembers her seeming so much bigger than this, and tougher. Brave and strong enough to stand up against anything.
Now she just seems like any other six year old.]
Focus, Adora. [A six year old who really ought to be a lot older. And who Catra had been hoping up until now hadn't totally regressed.
Catra gives her hand a squeeze, a reflexive habit, because -- they've always comforted each-other, dammit, and Catra is low-key trying not to freak out as she crouches in front of her. It's nice to be thought of as tall for once, but it's weird to be looking down at Adora.] You really don't remember anything? About Bright Moon, or Razz, or-- [she sort of just. gestures to the entire lush Woods around them, glowing with magic.] --this?

[ And then she's peering around in that oh-so-Adora way, like she's only just realizing something now that Catra is pointing it out.
With a gasp, her voice drops to a definitely-not-quiet whisper. ]
Catra, I think this is the Whispering Woods! It must have made you big! [ Which of course means princesses. ] Or princesses did!
[ Immediately, Adora is going for what must be an attempt to look like a serious leader, but ends up just looking goofy. She plants her hands on Catra's shoulders confidently, smiling at her. ]
Don't worry! I'll find the princesses and kick their butts and make 'em turn you back to normal and take us home! Just stay with me, I won't let them do anything else to you.
