THE VAMPIRE MEME

Vampires are appealing creatures. They can be dark, mysterious, sexy, or just downright violent. They can even be hunky and sparkly in the sun! Vampires come in so many different varieties, it's hard to choose just one type. Whatever your brand of vampire, it's just hard to resist the draw of one of the oldest, most unsettling figures in horror to date. So why not try your hand at playing one yourself? Or offer your character up for bait if you're more inclined to do so. - Post your characters.Name/Series/Preferences in the subject field as usual along with whether your character is a vampire, outsider, or hunter(Unless you'd like to roll for individual threads!). - Others respond after going to RNG.Roll 1-3 for what your character is and then1-3 again for what type (if you desire). - Choose or roll for a scenario. You could make up your own after you roll for what your character's role will be if you want! - Have fun! Vampires 1 - Sire You're old enough to have created vampires of your own. Maybe one, maybe many, but they're all special to you in their own way. 2 - Sired You were once normal, human, but then you were changed into something more. Do you thank your creator or hate them for changing you into a monster? 3 - n/a Your creator is neither here nor there at the moment. You're just a vampire on the hunt or trying to fit in. Outsider 1 - Victim You're a victim, someone to drain and leave behind. Maybe they'll take pity on you and allow you to join, be one of them. 2 - Willing You've got the hots for vampires or just a morbid fascination. You're willing to let them drink from you and maybe so much more. 3 - Pawn You're being controlled somehow by a vampire. Mind control, blackmail, whatever. Hunter 1 - Born You come from a long line of vampire hunters. 2 - Moral Objection Vampires are abominations that deserve to be wiped off the face of the planet. 3 - Vengeance A vampire took someone dear from you or possibly made you into one of them. All you can think about is getting vengeance. Gen 1 - hunted prey. You're starving tonight and you're out scoping for just the right nighttime snack. 2 - newly made. You're a newly made vampire or you've encountered someone who's recently been changed. How do you deal? 3 - mind control. Some vampires have the ability to control humans' thoughts or actions and tonight is the night you have to do it. 4 - overpopulated. Vampires have taken over the world and now humans are treated like livestock or pets that you can feed off of when you feel like it. Not all vampires think this is cool though... 5 - injured. Not a lot can injure a vampire but there are those that will drain them for their blood or those that hunt them and know tricks that actually leave a mark. Do you help them? Or if you're the one injured, do you seek help? 6 - unaccepted. You were changed or you've met someone who was once dear to you and changed... you're not sure how to accept them. 7 - close call. It's too close to sunrise and you have got to find refuge with someone. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed!

Violent 1 - trail of bodies. Humans are nothing but food and you've gone on a spree lately. 2 - hunted. You're being hunted or you're hunting. 3 - outnumbered. A bar or a club full of vampires doesn't bode well for humans... 4 - ravenous. You've been starved or drained and you're going after the first person you see or you've stumbled across an extremely hungry vampire. 5 - entitled. You're entitled to this person's blood, whether they want to give it or not. 6 - self-defense. You have to defend yourself from those that want to hurt you. 7 - vengeance. Someone is after vengeance... 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! Romantic 1 - real love. You know this is real, even if the other person is reluctant. Maybe it's not even a worry between you two and you just feel like being together. 2 - confession. It might not be the smartest idea, but you need to tell this vampire or human exactly how you feel for them. 3 - forever. It's time to make your lover into some a vampire or maybe it's time to ask your vampire lover to do it for you. 4 - making it work. There are obviously some problems, but you're going to overcome them. 5 - forbidden. Either no one can know about what you're doing or you just receive dirty looks for doing it. 6 - not exactly normal. Your attraction might not be normal or the circumstances surrounding your relationship might not be and it's time to discuss if you have a future or you're just kidding yourselves. 7 - defense. Someone hurt your lover and now they have to pay. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! Smut 1 - blood offering. There's nothing like a vampire feeding on you that gets you in the mood more. You offer them your blood in exchange for something else. 2 - coerced. Some vampires have mind control capabilities and some have blood that's like a drug that will make you crave more. 3 - no sex better than vampire sex. You're both vampires or one of you is dead set on becoming on tonight and you'll do anything to convince your lover it's time. 4 - pet. Similar to another option except that a 'pet 'entails so much more than being treated like livestock or cattle. 5 - touched the monster's heart. You're actually in love with each other even though you weren't sure it was possible. You just want to make love and show your vampire how you feel. 6 - so much stronger. The human or weaker vampire might not want it, but thankfully you're strong enough to take whatever you want from them. 7 - mine. It's time to claim what is rightfully yours and make sure they know it. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed!

[The night has been still in the Hellsing household, but it's been a tense silence. For the past month, talks have been increasing about what will happen to the organization when Integra dies. The past week has been especially hard, with Integra spending most of her time alone pouring over her options. She's gone through no less than 50 proposals, all vetoed either by the council or by the government branch that means to take over in her stead. It's become more than clear that they all view Alucard and Seras as property rather than family

For his part, Alucard has been home for a year now, which has given them a decent amount of time to reconnect. In that time, they've become more of a married couple than master and servant, finally allowing themselves the relationship Integra could never find room for in her youth.

It's well after 6 in the morning when Integra finally retires to the room she's recently begun sharing with Alucard. After a shower wasn't able to clear her mind, she settled on pinning her hair up and lying down.

Their room is dark thanks to heavy blackout curtains, but her expression is visible as she settles doesn beside him. Distant and thoughtful with a soft adoration at the edges as she reaches forward to idly comb her fingertips through his hair. God how she wishes they could see what she does when she looks at him in moments like these.

A pause spans before her gaze becomes a bit more present and a bittersweet smile tugs at her lips.]

You don't suppose it's too late to resign and become a housewife, do you?

[Despite her exhaustion, she still manages a chuckle at the idea. They both know she's an awful homemaker, but joking does help ease the tension.]

[ Two weeks, Jonathan Crane had vanished from Gotham two weeks before. Even his boys couldn't find him. He wasn't in Arkham, he wasn't in Black Gate, the last he had been seen he had been in his lab working then he was gone. His phone clearly dead, couldn't even be tracked properly, it was dead under his desk in the lab, a spot of blood on the screen.

He might have pissed off the wrong person this time. Or maybe someone needed to call John Constantine.

It was pissing rain on an boring tuesday night when a knock sounded on Harley's door. The figure outside wearing a hoodie under a coat, head tipped down to hide his face in the shadow. Too tall, to thin and lacking glasses. Why had he come here? This was a bad idea. And yet, where else could he go? ]

[ alucard is the (half) vampire in this equation, which means i'm open to either humans OR vampires for him to come across. in all cases i love scenes that allow action/suspense/tense CR to grow slowly warmer; exploring prejudices against vampires or humans would be great. (ngl, particularly interested in vampire hunter characters or loner, newly-turned vampires for this reason.)

with human characters i'm particularly interested in scenarios along the lines of gen 4 (canonically a threat that's averted, so could play with a 'bad ending' idea) or 5, violent 2, 3, 4. very happy with wildcard options not covered. with vampire characters, interested in gen 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 or violent 1, 2, 4 (feel like feeding from another vampire?). glad to discuss things or just toss in a starter to see where it goes! ]

[ Alucard isn't beholden to a normal vampire's schedule, but he still makes a point - when he's not too busy just sulking in his castle or laying down wiring in the Belmont Hold - to go outside at night. At least for a quick trek around. The Night Creatures have largely been scared away or simply killed off in the area, but given how many have wings or are doggedly stubborn in their land pursuit of prey and havoc, even in the absence of who summoned them initially, it would be foolish not to check.

Tonight's the first night in over a week that Alucard hears the distant sound of growling, though. He listens before he moves in closer, and he's cautious in approaching. Surprise is an upperhand he won't give away easily.

Except, as he gets closer, it's Alucard that ends up surprised. It's a Night Creature with a human in its mouth - for a moment, until it tosses it aside like a rag doll, anyway. Alucard is assuming it's playing with its food until the heap of dirty clothes tilts up with a grin and a weapon brandished and wow, Alucard's seen that particular shine of insanity in an expression before, hasn't he?

He should leave, except he knows as soon as he thinks it that he absolutely can't. His sword is sent out ahead of and instead of himself, skewering forward through one yellowed eye of the creature. It howls and rears back and doesn't quite fall yet, which means that with a snarl, Alucard himself comes rushing from the treeline.

This time, his hand is on the sword as he drives it into the creature's chest, and it's a very gory albeit anticlimactic end. ]

Maybe a vampire is her link to the more supernatural underworld that she's investigating? Maybe in order to pull off the revenge she wants, she needs ( ugh ) the help of another vampire?

she can also be a newly made vampire learning the ropes under her sire or another experienced vamp! but expect shenanigans since she's willful and used to being on her own ( i.e. not taking orders ).

It wasn't often he ended up with a case like this, usually the situation was more clearcut, but sometimes there were incidents requiring a more diplomatic touch than the hunters crossing swords with the vampires. Which was why he'd been sent on this errand.

Not that he'd been the first or best choice but their usual negotiator was on leave and his parents and Wei Ying were otherwise occupied with sect matters. Which left him as the best option for actually gaining access.

The stories said he'd been born of a hunter bloodline, but his mother's bloodline had proven more dominant and he'd been raised with a foot in both worlds. Still Jiang Cheng had only seen him in passing, one hand knocking at the door to the apartment he'd been directed to.

Peter didn't often talk about Ben, either out of reverence for the dead man, or respect for Tony. But even with the little information he had gleaned about him, Tony was sure that he was an overly protective man. Tony was determined not to be like that. If Peter wanted to go out for a night, he wasn't going to make a big deal about it.

But. It was now getting dangerously close to sunrise and he couldn't hold back the worry. He'd tried calling and messaging the cellphone he'd given the vampire, but after the forth text he realized he could hear the notification tone playing the empty bedroom.

There was nothing for Tony to do but sit and wait, his blind open enough that he could watch the slowly lightening sky. Just worry.
