Situations:

1. Took Longer That I Thought: Maybe you got lost or stranded on a dessert island, or kidnapped by pirates. But whatever the case, you’re back now! Only everyone’s acting like you’re a ghost...


2. Amnesia: You took a blow to the head and lost your identity. Now, you remember, and are going back to your old life. Of course, others have moved on with their lives.


3. Sleeping Beauty: It might have been magic or the best of modern technology, but you were put into a deep sleep until some future time. Unfortunately, not many people were in on this plan.


4. Only Mostly Dead: Maybe you got bitten by a giant spider, or maybe you were apparently killed on a hostile planet. Either way, they had to leave your ‘body’ behind. Except you weren’t as dead as they thought.


5. Faked It: For whatever reason, you faked your own death. Have fun explaining that to your loved ones.


6. Back From the Dead: It might be a deity or super-advanced aliens, but something or someone resurrected you. What was being dead like?


7. Mix and match or make up your own!

[He had heard the legend. The story told by his grandfather like many stories before it. That story of the One-Eyed Dragon's true resting place. Seiji knew most of the tales told by his grandfather were only that, but after being chosen by Korin...he knows that not all of them may be. And knowing that Date Masamune was buried elsewhere was not the most outlandish of the tales he had heard growing up. So he became curious.

The shrine is visited by tourists regularly and he does not want to draw attention. Because in the shrine is not where the body lies, but instead where the clues are to be found.

He followed the clues to the Abukuma Caves. Seiji goes just before sunrise, then enters, following the clues to the secret hidden tunnel. The farther he went the more he felt that the legend was true. So true he almost wonders if his grandfather had seen it for himself...

He did not expect to find a stone casket. Such a western style grave was not what he had envisioned for his ancestor. Even less expected was the fact the casket began to glow as soon as he touched the engraved dragon on its sealed lid.]

[ The house is as silent as a grave.

They found it on the farthest edge of Jakku, opposite direction of the heroes' retreat, and mostly untouched by battle. Decay had stopped short of the back porch, leaving much of the house's two stories intact, still bearing relics of its previous owners: rummaged drawers, a set of refrigerated lunches, childish drawings taped to the walls. The ruins of a perfect family life, finally unsettled by unmasking the heroes as false protectors, false hope.

As Tomura sits in the living room, aches and sores finally begin creeping back into his dysfunctional, experimental body. It's incomplete. One For All had just slipped out of his fingers, the heroes beat a tight retreat, and in Deika city the Meta Liberation Army hardly lived up to their lofty claims. Down a hallway in a bedroom behind him—what he's trying to avoid dwelling on—lies Twice's butchered corpse.

He'd sent everyone away to take care of it himself. Toga looked like she was about to go on a slaughter—alone or not—so he sent Mr. with her to scout their surroundings. He kept Spinner nearby, posted on lookout, and he thinks Dabi is drowning himself in the shower to get his temperature under control.

Tomura doesn't know what he expects to be happening in that room. Transferring his regeneration was almost intuitive—the same way he understood how to use the other Quirks Sensei left him—but he doesn't know if it will work. It had taken longer than expected for the League to meet him, probably nearly an hour since Twice was run through, and he... doesn't know if the Quirk will take.

They have to get moving soon, he knows that. He can't have them wait forever on blind hope, and blind hope isn't his thing anyway. He doesn't wait around for help anymore.

Still...

The minutes tick by, and Tomura doesn't move. He waits, death-still on the couch, with his knees pulled up to his chest and his arms wrapped around them. He shouldn't feel cold through the sweatshirt he scavenged, but occasionally a shiver runs through his frame.

Just a little bit longer.

Just a little more time before he has to decide their next move. ]

[Ever since the battle that had cost them so much, things had been...quiet. Not necessarily in a good way. But quieter than before. With just she and Todd and the on and off materializations of Sal as he hopped between dimensions, the house felt empty. Without Neil and Larry, things didn't feel right. The house, and even existence itself, felt dismally empty.

There were things to fill the days, of course. Feeding Gizmo, trying to make sense of their new otherworldly abilities, plotting with the other two on ways to pinpoint Larry's location...somewhere out there. But that was the thing. They had no idea where he could possibly be. As much as Ash wanted to stay optimistic, it felt more and more like a losing battle the more they searched for signs of his presence with no updates. But the loss of such a significant amount of earth's population, along with the endless stretch of fruitless searching, was starting to take its toll.

As it was, Ash had taken up nail biting again with a vengeance, and she was gnawing mercilessly at her pinky nail as she trekked from the empty house and into the dilapidated mess that had once been the Addison Apartments lot. Sleep hadn't been coming easy, and with Sal off searching the vast expanse of reality and Todd asleep, there wasn't much to do but wander, as much as she knew she should be avoiding the old memories of this place.

Pinky beginning to bleed and protesting her efforts with a dull throb, Ash stared into the horrific burnt black wreckage of what had once been Larry's tree house. It was colder than she'd expected, and she pulled her jacket closed.]

Hey, Larry.

[Her words sounded deafening in the absolute silence of the night. She knew he couldn't hear her. But it brought some sliver of comfort to speak to him anyway.]


I thought I'd come see you. Update you on what's going on. We're still looking for you. It's just not...going so well.

[Maybe that was an understatement. They hadn't found anything at all. It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. There hadn't been even a whisper of him. Not even ahint of his existence. It felt bizarre to be talking to him like this, not at all like when she used to come and talk to him before she burned the treehouse. Not when they could actually have a conversation. This was just speaking to empty air.]

Okay so...we haven't found anything. It's kinda hard to keep your spirits up when it feels like we're never going to.

[A loud sigh, and she began worrying her nail with her teeth again, her shoulders tense.]

I wish there was more we could do. I feel so useless...it's shit. Sure could use your advice on what to do. I miss you.
