It had been a pretty long, stressful day of training new recruits and all Poe wanted to do was get in bed and cuddle with his favorite Jedi. It was just one of those nights where he didn’t have the strength for much else and he didn’t think Rey would mind. Anyway, he enjoyed simply being with her. Walking out of the fresher and back into the modest room, he ran a hand through his unruly hair. He gestured to his companion.

“You. In bed,” he said lightly, but with little room for disagreement as he did.

[ studying is a pain for him most days, but that might also be his lacking attention span at work. besides that, it can't be helped that he had to miss date night to spend a good chunk of his evening putting together a presentation with a handful of others for a class he's not exactly thrilled about. gotta keep up those grades to stay on the football team, even if it's not his first passion. it's something to pass the time, and he probably wouldn't have met cloud if it hadn't been for that accident so long ago on campus. (practically crushing someone trying to catch a ball is definitely a worse meet-cute than shown in movies.)

but he sneaks into their shared place as quietly as he can manage once he's finally done, locking the door and pulling himself out of his jacket. no one's on the couch, but the tv's on. hmm. zack flicks it off as he wanders by, heading to check out cloud's bedroom first. the apartment had been cheaper since the second bedroom had technically been considered an office space, but zack could practically sleep anywhere so it hadn't mattered to him in the end. the important part is that they can hang together and do other stuff together but also have somewhere private to retreat to if they need it.

there's no such thing as privacy when he slips through the partially ajar bedroom door, kicking his shoes off and wasting no time climbing into the bed with cloud. he's a lump under the blankets, but it's easy to get under them and curl an arm over his waist, sticking his face against the back of his neck. ]
